• Al (5/5): its really beautiful but I'm not sure I would go back. - it was a beautiful place with lovely staff. the general vibe was nice and the food was really delicious it was madly expensive. we received a ludicrous bill because we had children in our room which we thought had been agreed beforehand. we did get it discounted but I still wasn't really happy with it in the end. the whole thing seemed to be run by a bunch of people in Medellin, bossing around the staff on the ground which was massively disappointing.

• Cristina (10/5): Paraíso en la tierra. - Nos gustó absolutamente todo. La ubicación en el paraíso. El gusto en la decoración. Las cabañas son preciosas y muy comodas las camas. La ducha al aire libre es una experiencia única. Los jardines y exteriores están super cuidados y limpios. Las chicas de la cocina son muy lindas y cocinan de maravilla. Fue uno de los mejores lugares donde comimos en Colombia. Y por supuesto el trato de Rafa y Alejo que están siempre pendientes de todo. Volveríamos mil veces.

• Sergio (10/5): An Amazing Stay in the Most Biodiverse Place on Earth - I had an incredible stay at Luzul. From the moment I arrived I was treated like family. Juanda is a fantastic host and the entire team, including the staff and the guides, took good care of me. The food was delicious!!!. The hotel is beautiful and completely surrounded by nature. You really get to experience everything: the animals, the rain, the sun, the jungle, the sound of the sea. This place is perfect for people who can embrace weather unpredictability, wild animals and occasional changes of plans. Rain can be very frequent, but that is part of the beauty of the experience, so make sure to pack good rain gear. It was just amazing and truly one of the most special places I have visited. Highly recommended.

• Andres (10/5): - Las cabañas, la increíble comida de María, la calidez de Alejandro y todo el equipo de Luzul, el recibimiento con agua de coco 🥥 y cada uno de los planes, que están pensados para causar el mínimo impacto en el territorio, además de contar con guianza de las personas de la misma comunidad de Arusi. Sin lugar a dudas uno de los lugares más bellos y cómodos en que nos hemos quedado. Tener que irnos :(

Las actividades fueron muy buenas, y el equipo siempre estuvo atento a nuestras necesidades. El pueblo de Arusí está muy cerca, y allí la gente nos hizo sentir como en casa, como locales. Si te gusta socializar pero también tener tu propio espacio, Luzul es el lugar perfecto. Sin duda, volveré pronto!"

• Louise (10/5): A stay in paradise! - The best place we stayed at in Colombia!! It’s such a magical place and I would recommend it to all my friends or family visiting Nuquí. The rooms were spacious and made you feel part of nature. Deconnecting was never so easy. The food that was prepared for us was fresh and so tasty. The staff was incredible, we also met the owner and we loved the story of how he started the hotel. We were able to do some nice activities such as whale watching which was just incredible :-) At Luzul you really feel welcome! Nothing for me :-)

ESTARÍA BIEN QUE, ADEMÁS DE TOALLA PARA EL ASEO PERSONAL, SE OFRECIERA UNA TOALLA EXTRA PARA UTILIZAR EN LAS EXCURSIONES QUE INCLUYEN BAÑO (AUNQUE FUERA PAGANDO EXTRA). Se oye el mar desde las cabañas (nosotros estuvimos en la que está más cerca del manglar y por la noche lo oíamos aún sin estar a pie de playa). La comida es riquísima y la atención de todos los que están trabajando allí es espectacular. Además, está todo super limpio. Fue nuestro fin de vacaciones y no podíamos haber elegido mejor sitio. Nos encantó el lugar y el hotel. Nada. Todo es perfecto :)

Met smaak ingerichte accommodaties, waarvan sommige met zicht op de Pacific! De kwaliteit van het bed kon iets beter.

• Joost (10/5): Een heerlijk verblijf, ver weg van de bewoonde wereld. - Het hotel ligt echt op de rand van de jungel en de zee waardoor je van beide echt alles voelt en beleeft. Het eten wat door de dames wordt gemaakt is super op smaak en Juan doet er alles aan om je verblijf zo ontspannen mogelijk te maken. Uiteraard was het van zo dichtbij de walvissen zien een van de hoogtepunten!!! Ik zou zelf wat meer mijn best doen om het terrein en de gebouwen wat netter te maken, ook al is dat moeilijk omdat je echt ver weg in het regenwoud zit.

• Andrade (9/5): Where the Jungle Meets the Pacific - An Eco-Adventure in Paradise - My recent trip to Nuqui was a journey into the heart of Colombia's wild Pacific coast, a perfect blend of adventure and eco-discovery. Seeking a truly immersive experience, I found myself enveloped in the raw, untamed beauty of this remote paradise. From the moment I stepped off the boat, I knew I was in for something special. I had the pleasure of staying at a rustic eco-lodge hosted by the wonderful Juancho. The simplicity of the accommodations perfectly complemented the natural surroundings. The food was a true delight. Every day, I enjoyed freshly caught fish prepared with local flair, accompanied by delicious traditional dishes. It was a genuine taste of the region. Getting to Nuqui was an adventure in itself. The journey involved two flights and a scenic one-hour boat trip. While the travel was a bit lengthy, it only added to the feeling of escaping to a truly remote destination. Be prepared for potentially bumpy boat rides and pack accordingly! The remoteness of Nuqui was its most captivating feature. It offered a level of peace and privacy that is rare to find. The lack of crowds allowed for a deep connection with nature. It was a place to truly disconnect and recharge, far from the hustle and bustle of modern life. I wholeheartedly recommend Nuqui to nature lovers, adventurers, surfers, and anyone seeking tranquility. If you crave an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience, this is your destination. My top tips are: pack rain gear and quick-drying clothes, as the weather can be unpredictable. Be prepared for travel that is heavily dependent on good weather, and embrace the slower pace of life. Learning a few basic Spanish phrases will also enhance your interactions with the friendly locals.
• Robert (10/5): Excellent small ecolodge with a great bilingual host - Luzul is a very nice small ecolodge in a beautiful and very wet place; in fact it’s reputed to be the wettest place on the planet with an average of 30 feet of rain per year. But that should not discourage you from going. In the 5 days we spent there it rained every day, but mostly in short duration bursts with plenty of nice weather to do outdoor activities. The place has two cabins each with an upstairs and a downstairs unit. All the units are very open to the surrounding rainforest, but surprisingly, mosquitoes were not a problem. The meals are prepared by a skilled cook using local ingredients and the meals are substantial and delicious. Juancho, the resident manager, speaks some English and is very kind and helpful. He will help you arrange a canoe trip up the nearby river to a swimming hole, and a jungle hike to another swimming hole beneath a waterfall and a deserted beach. A short walk west down the beach is Arusi, a small village with a few stores. A 45 minute walk east will take you to some hot springs, but you can only do the walk at low tide in order to cross a channel. If you go it’s necessary to fly first to Nuquí then take a boat ride that takes about 1.45 hours to Luzul.
• Eliana (10/5): Little Paradise - We completely loved it. From the very first moment, we felt taken care of. The staff was there for us the whole time. The food was amazing kudos to the local chefs team! The location is not the closest to the airport, but that allows one to enjoy the nature of the area more. There are so many things to do and see! We stayed in a very beautiful cabin that had it all. The cabins are done with a great deal of craftsmanship, and overall, the hotel is super beautiful. We would recommend this place without any doubt. The only thing ( is really nothing) we didn't understand. Why was not the breakfast from the last day included. (When one books the private boat, in the public one would be too early so is very understandable)
