• Salima (10/5): Très bon séjour - Très bon séjour, personnel très agréable et localisation assez proche du centre, donc plutôt sympa pour prendre des taxis. Attente à l'arrivée comme d'habitude, les chambres n'étaient pas prêtes. Piscine pas propre du tout, bien dommage parce qu'il faisait chaud.

• Jarret (1/5): Avoid, Avoid, Avoid - Large rooms I arrived at 12:30 at night and was given room #108, when I opened the door there was already someone in the room. The other individuals key also worked and had the same number. I went back down to the desk and then was given room #216 but the key wouldn't open the door. I had to go back down for the 3rd time to be given another room. At 8am reception was calling the room to find out what time I was checking out. Checkout wasn't until 12:00 so I dont understand why they needed to call. I tried to shower at 9am and there wasn't ANY hot water. Breakfast was very basic. Some boiled eggs, boiled chicken, and some simple salad and breads. It was very basic and unapetizing. I had a horrible experience with everything that happened and wouldn't want to ever stay here again.

• Dominique (8/5): Un bon séjour professionnel. - L'Hôtel est bien situé et offre un bon rapport qualité/prix. Le personnel est disponible et serviable. La piscine pourrait être plus attirante
• Carole (7/5): Etablissement correct avec un personnel à l'écoute. - Le personnel est toujours à l'écoute, l'établissement tout à fait conforme aux attentes pour sa catégorie. La connexion wifi n'est pas optimale, mais c'est peut-être du fait de l'opérateur.
• Rouda (6/5): With some improvements in service speed and staff approach, the hotel could provide a much better overall experience. - Overall, my stay was satisfactory. The hotel initially had issues with the internet, which was inconvenient, but I appreciate that the staff responded to my request and provided a dedicated router in my room, which resolved the issue. The front desk staff were helpful and attentive. The room service was quite slow, and I was disappointed by the attitude of one staff member who, although she did give me an empty cup, remarked that it was meant only for suite guests. This kind of attitude felt unnecessary and unwelcoming.
• Grégoire (7/5): A nice option if you don't mind overpaying for comfort and location - It's comfortable and well located for Nouakchott, with a cool swimming pool. You get more comfort and space than you would in most other places around for sure. On the other hand, the staff is not super helpful, the breakfast is plain bad, the wifi sucks hard and the whole atmosphere is quite ... bleak. At this price the hotel feels a little cheap.

Safe motorbike parking inside the gates at night. The staff knocked and opened the door without waiting for a reply while I was undressed (woman). I had to hide and shout to close the door 3 times before they did. It made me angry and feel unsafe in the room, I did not trust that they wouldn't do it again. It is not okey to just open the door without waiting even a few seconds...

• Zohair (4/5): Hotel managment is terrible - Price The preparation for transport to air port was not managed professionally as we have agreed with reception to have hotel transport with 1500 MUR and then we did not have the driver at time and hotel reception just called a normal taxi driver with old car and flat tire and they paid him 1000 MUR and hotel kept balance 500 MUR
• Houryata (7/5): Good - The location is great The airport pick up experience and the check in at the hotel took about 3 hours. First the pick up: I came out of the flight very early, and I waited for 1-hour 40 minutes in the hotel car parked at the airport, because the hotel was expecting a larger group that were on the same flight. Second the check in: Once at the hotel, the staff also handled first all the members of that larger group before checking me in. It took more than an hour for me to reach my room.

• Hero (8/5): A bit lacking in atmosphere, but overall, a nice and comfortable place to stay! - Staff were helpful and it was nice to have hot running water. Also nice to have a pool. A good place to stay if you want comfort in Nouakchott. As other reviews have noted, the building is quite tired and the corridors are long and dark. We went at Christmas so it was particularly empty and there wasn't much of an atmosphere, but we really weren't there long. Also the pool was very cold, but it's probably a bit much to expect them to heat it.

• Barefootonthemove (8/5): Great beds, superclean, friendliest service at the pool area, unfortunately room wifi is not 'great' - Easy to find, great parking space, staff opening the door ( though it would be nice they would give a sign of recognizing you when you come in 15 times a day for 4 days). Swimming pool is a great area, always a nice cool breeze and great happy service thanks to the gorgeous smiling Fatima. Omar also adds to the well being in the pool area, also always superfriendly and smiling. Chef makes a killer 'red sauce' so order the fried squid with rice and salad and thát sauce. Delicious. Nice breakfast and love the view from the terrace on the fourth floor. Stayed 5-6 days and would ve been nice if the lady would be a bit more friendly and helpfull (Yes, I like ketchup évery morning) Airconditioning is superb, sound isolation is great, the beds are excellent and tall enough for my 6.6" (1.95m), cleaning ladies are superfriendly and they really know how to clean. Great fluffy towels. There is only one thing that would keep me away from the hotel, the wifi is not bad, it s just terrible. It s on and off and non existent. In the junior room, 75% of the time there is wifi close to the door, but in the bed room, living room, or working room ... none ... And I need to work :-(. So please, work on the wifi and train the rest of the staff and the hotel will be outstanding!
• Mark (7/5): A Much Needed Semi-Treat - The Mauricenter made my stay in arguably the most boring capital in the world more tolerable. It is a mausoleum- like building with long, winding corridors not too far from the city centre (don't get excited unless you like markets or mobile telephone shops.) And it is quiet- Mauritanians seem reserved by nature but even meals were taken in near silence. The restaurant on the fourth floor did not have everything that its menu offered but the food was generally good. Staff were attentive, willing to ring for taxis and allow use of the hotel computer. Not happy to see cockroaches but better than mosquitos. All in all, The Mauricenter makes a good effort in a country not renowned for its tourism. Worth a stay.

Good breakfast. Water bottles provided every day. Difficulties with payment with card. AC not working properly. Dirty water in the swimming pool therefore we were not able to use it. Sometimes the internet wasn’t working properly.
