• oscar (8/5): 15 min from the lion rock. Lovely staff. Basic infrastructure - Amazing staff. All of them gave us an excellent job. Nice breakfast. Room can be more confortable. There was poor natural light inside.

• Indika Sanjeewa (9/5): Definitely recommend and will come back - Staff is amazing specially Alwis. They will make you feel at home. Cabanas are different design in a good way. You got everything you need in it and very comfortable. Small pool is perfect relax. Can’t remember a place that adds more value for money than this. No bad thing to say about this place

• Jacqueline (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had a wonderful stay at Pahana village at first we thought it was a bit far out but Hozan the son of Nilu the owner had a tuk tuk and would take us to wherever we wanted to go and wait the whole family were amazing and helped us with everything we wanted to do while we were there. Nilu is an exceptional cook breakfast was outstanding and two out of three nights we had our evening meal there and it was so delicious even our fussy son ate. WiFi

• Juulke (8/5): Mooie natuurlijke ligging - Mooie rustige ligging in natuurlijke omgeving. Ontzettend aardige en behulpzame eigenaren! Genoten van een heerlijk getrakteerd diner, gemaakt door de gastvrouw! Lekker ontbijt. Hygiëne in de badkamer, kans op wat insecten. Voor- en eventueel nadeel wat verder af van eetgelegenheden, niet op loopafstand. Kibissa ongeveer 10 minuten met tuktuk, Sigiriya ongeveer 30 minuten met tuktuk.
• Elysha (6/5): Stay ended abruptly - This is a difficult one to rate. It all started well we arrived, were given lovely welcome drinks and a garland and shown to our cabin. We had a lovely swim and as the weather cooled went for a run. However, on return from the run at around 7pm the owner told us that the price we'd booked through booking.com was wrong and he wanted 3 times the amount. Long story short after an expensive international call to speak to booking.com we were told the next day that Pahana couldn't accommodate us and we had to find alternative accommodation. In the end we weren't charged for the first night and I think if we hadn't had this issue it would have been a lovely stay though the cabins are very dark/not many windows with little outside shaded space to get away from the heat and their estaurant prices expensive compared to other local places. Breakfast was fine - not the best we've had but satisfactory. In the end we found an amazing alternative accommodation so all worked out for the best but was quite a stressful evening (especially as we have 2 kids) for something that was not our fault. The stress of having to find alternative accommodation last minute and being made to feel that the mix up in price was our problem.

• Methley (10/5): A delightful welcome and a relaxing experience - It’s a beautiful family run village. The unique style of the cottages. I felt at home immediately. The swimming pool was a welcome relief. The meals were reasonably priced and made with love, we could pick any time to eat with no issues. That I couldn’t stay there longer

The hotel staff is very welcoming and hospitable. The area is beautiful🤩 and peaceful. The secluded location gives an impression of lost in the jungle😍😍 Little charming 2-storey houses are very cosy.
