La atención al cliente muy pobre, el manager poco servicial, el aseo a la habitación lo hacen cada 2 días, el hotel queda muy lejos de donde el bus nos deja, no lleven maletas si van a caminar hasta allá.

• Marina (8/5): - Sehr schöne Aussicht und saubere Unterkunft. Nettes Personal. Yogabereich mit Hängematten waren sehr schön eingerichtet. super Naturparadies. Viele Vegetarische Optionen. Leider hatte es keine Vorhänge da die Sonne sehr früh aufgeht ist man automatisch auch sehr früh wach. Das Moskitosnetz wurde lange nicht mehr gewaschen hatte viel Flecken darauf.

• Marc Anton (9/5): Naturreiches Retreat :) - Im Dschungel! Direkt am Fluss in dem man morgens baden kann. Harold und seine Crew sind super freundlich und haben uns sehr geholfen bei den Mosquitostichen von meiner Freundin. Danke nochmal. Man kann zu einem Wasserfall wandern (ca 45 Min.). Wunderschöne Anlage. Dafür das es im Dunschel und relativ offen ist, ist es echt sauber. Frühstück war super. Essen allgemein sehr gut und bezahlbar. Auf Extrawünsche wurde stets eingegangen. Wir waren im Einzelzimmer mit eigenem Bad und großen Bett mit Netz. Wasser aus dem Hahn kann getrunken werden (großes PLUS!). Kaffee den ganzen Tag um sonst und super lecker. Outdoor Sport Geräte (Klimmzüge und Dip-Stangen). Tischtennis und Billard. Hängematten und Yogamatten. Günstige Massagen. Sehr viele Mosquitos und allerlei Getier, da im Dschungel, muss man vorher wissen. Dadurch nachts auch eher laut, kann aber niemand was dafür da direkt in der Natur :) Motorrad Taxi um hinzukommen (5.000 COP), da es ja im Dschungel ist.

• Andrea (8/5): - Le cadre est très calme, on y va pour s'éloigner de la ville et le béton et se changer les idées. C'est idéal pour se déconnecter de tout et prendre soin de vous. Entouré de la nature et ayant une petite rivière, on se sent en harmonie. La nourriture est très bonne, petit coup de cœur pour les arepas farcis ! La plage est à peu près à 25 minutes à pied. Recommandation, aller voir le lever ou le coucher de soleil, vraiment époustouflant ! Il y a aussi une bonne promenade pour aller voir Poza Encantada, un très bel endroit où peut s'y baigner. Nous avons loué une cabane et j'aurais apprécié avoir une petite table avec deux chaises dans le balcon. Cela aurait été magnifique de prendre un petit café assise en regardante les arbres. Ce serait aussi bien me mettre quelques transats dans la partie où il y a le sable, à côté des cabanes et pourquoi pas un petit banc regardant la rivière.

• Alexander (10/5): Wunderschöne und naturnahe Erholung - Das Hostel liegt mitten in der Natur und fernab vom Trubel der Hostels am Bohemia Beach. Trotzdem ist man schnell und einfach am Strand, hat aber die Ruhe und Natur des Dschungels. Es ist alles sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, reichhaltig und günstig. Die Mitarbeiter helfen bei allem, Touren organisieren, Sachen in der Stadt besorgen (Mückenschutz, Zigaretten etc.) und alle sind sehr freundlich. Man kann hier auch den ganzen Tag verbringen, im Trainingsareal trainieren, entspannen, sich im Fluss abkühlen und sich durch die Menukarte schlemmen (die frischgemachten Limonaden sind der Hammer). Wir reisen seit 8 Monaten und der Aufenthalt hier war einer der schönsten auf unserer gesamten Weltreise.

• Janina (10/5): Exceptional - I had a great time basically sleeping outside in the jungle, cuddling their super cute dogs and eating the best Colombian food I had so far (try the aubergine with coco rice and Patacones or the coconut lemonade!). Everything is clean and the host is attentive and helpful. I‘ve missed free drinking water and a sitting area at the riverside.
• Berry (8/5): Quiet, serene, tropical hostel tucked away in the rain forest. Slow paced - The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and make for a perfect serene stay. Zoncorro also made it all worth while– she went out of her way to help me figure out anything from transportation, to restaurants, to my park visit. We hung out several of the days (juegos, walks, and more) and she truly made it feel like home! Food was delicious and reasonably priced! Try the limonada coco and the curried seafood, you will not be disappointed! During low season expect nearly no one at the property. This could be good or bad depending on what you’re looking for in your trip! The shared hut is open air, so it made it a bit hot to sleep at night. Ask Zoncorro or the other host for a fan and they might be able to accommodate! The property is far from Mendihuaca (30-40 mins by walking), which made it a bit limiting during the day. Plan on organizing a moto bike with the property to get around or take the local bus (arrives every 20 minutes 7am-6pm). Some things take more time than typical, since there’s a very small (but mighty) staff on the property. My laundry took over a full day to be returned which I wasn’t expecting, and since there’s only one cook per shift you may have to wait awhile for meals.
• Aisha (9/5): Superb - The location is beautiful, with the Mendihuaca river being in the hostel’s backyard. I love the open concept of the dorms and falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle and a cool breeze. I appreciated that there were many bathroom stalls and showers, so you never had to wait for one to be available. The restaurant’s food was delicious, especially breakfast!
• Dominic (10/5): Exceptional - Really chill spot next to a small and clean river to dip in , you can walk further up the road for a nice swimming spot, and its close enough to the main road to explore the surrounding area and beach. Everything is well kept and a good spot to relax.

• Stefanie (10/5): Finding paradise close to Tayrona Park Entrance!! - When you arrive at Encanto Hostel you find the paradise! A peacful atmosphere implemented in the most beautyful garden I have ever seen! Directly located at the river where you can take a refreshing bath. If you follow the road up you can hike to a beautyful waterfall site. The Costeño beach and Tayrona Natinoalpark Entrance are close by and if you do the Lost City Treck the Jeep transfer can pic you up easily as the hostsl is on the way. For me it was the perfect stay at Encanto before and after doing the hike. The accomodation provides very cosy beds (surrounded by mosquito nets) in an open house - I had the best sleep with great a pillow, waking up in the morning accompanied by the beautyful sound of the tropical birds. Harold is the nicest host! He does everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable! The food cooked by two wonderful columbian ladies is so delicious!! Free coffee and tea are provided all day. Also very nice is that you can play pool billiard and pingpong for free! You can chillax in a hammock or use a gymnastics mat for doing yoga or exercises. The Wifi is excellent, I could do my remote work without any problem. Everything was perfect!
• Alan (10/5): Quiet Tropical Hostel - We were here for birdwatching, staying five nights and will almost certainly be back. The rooms themselves are nice, clean, and spacious. The river and natural area around the hostel is incredible. It's a short walk to a beautiful waterfall or, in the other direction a gorgeous beach. The immediate area has a ton of bird life, friendly local people, and is safe and easy to walk around. The owner of the hostel has been exceptional from the start, just incredible hospitality. He has helped us arrange trips to both Tayrona National Park and Camerones Beach to see the flamingo colonies. The icing on the cake has been the outstanding food. Everything we've ordered here has been excellent, a testament to the chef! We really have no complaints and would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking to come for a birding or jungle getaway. Absolutely nothing, it was great.
• Andrew (8/5): Beautiful place next to the river. - I liked the location, it was a bit of a walk to the beach and restaurants but I liked that it was in nature with a beautiful river to chill in. There is a pool table and table tennis, hammocks, and a bar and restaurant if you don’t want to leave. However I think more could be made of the space, some places to sunbathe or some seating/structure near/in the river to properly relax would be great! It was very quiet when I was there and I think if it was full the room would have been difficult, as there are a lot of beds close together. But with some more people, it could have been a nice social place.

Little paradise within the jungle, but still in walking distance to nice activities (river, beach). Helpful staff, open air dorm with good mosquito nets. In-house restaurant with good food (even though everything is fried and starts to get hard on the stomach after a few days). I arrived the day after the hostel was flooded due to heavy rains, so everything was a bit chaotic and dirty. But I’m pretty sure that was an exception!

• Christof (10/5): Exceptional - It's a pretty new, very nice place in the nature, next to a river where you can swim. Food is good, staff very friendly. The whole place very well maintained. All in all a clear recommendation. There is music for most of the day which could be a thing for you if you want to enjoy nature. They have a great place to do yoga or other activities right next to it which might not be enjoyable with the music, especially when the neighbor next to it also plays his music at the same time.

• Craig (8/5): Very good - It's a good hostal. It's just not my sort of place. I stayed here the night prior to the Delmaralacima race for It's price and convenience. I prefer access to a kitchen but the food is good and reasonably priced. Order at the kitchen, pay at reception. The location is pleasant, in the forest and close to the river. The view from the hammock area is spoilt by the plot next door which is covered in junk. Even if you could use the kitchen there are no food shops around. Why do Colombian hostels and shops always struggle to give change of a 50,000 note!? I think this hostal prefers cards. My stay was marred by inconsiderate competitors on an earlier starting race who decided that as they had to be awake at 3am then everybody should be. Ignorant. Not the fault of the hostal of course. I would stay here again for one or two nights but any longer would become expensive as you have to buy all meals. The place is very well maintained and clean with large lockers. The WiFi was good in the evening but was out the morning of the race. Don't know how regularly that happens. I may do the race again next year and would book here again. No real complaints. I was aware there was no access to a kitchen so cannot complain about that.

Amazing feeling to sleep in the jungle. Super friendly and helpful staff. I don't know why, but it was a bit empty during my stay. Filled up after I left.

• Sven (10/5): Beautiful stay in nature - The room is beautiful and directly on the river bank. The place is perfect to relax and enjoy nature. The staff and owner are lovely and always willing to make your stay perfect. We decided to stay more nights as planned because we loved it here. The food at their restaurant is delicious and with very good portions. The common areas are always clean and beautiful. There is no free drinkable water supply for guests, so you need to buy water at the property or nearby shops.
• Sophie (10/5): Lovely jungle oasis stay! - We had the best stay at Encanto! Harold was so welcoming and helpful and the hostel itself feels really new and clean. It’s a great spot to stay in to visit the waterfalls at Poza Encanta, Medihuaca beach and Tayrona Park - we also could leave our big rucksacks there whilst we were at the park which was super helpful. The food was also excellent - especially the coco rice and fruit from the garden, and the dogs were the cutest.

• Anna (9/5): Enjoyed it a lot, would come again. - Gorgeous, secluded location in the forest next to the river, you can easily walk to the Poza Encantada or the beach. At night the only sound is birds and the crickets. Really nice staff. There is a great common area with pool table and a platform with hammocks to relax. The mattress, although brand new, was rather hard. The music they play in the day time was quite annoying but all hostels in the area seem to do this.

Next to the river, a short walk to Poza Encantada, the beach and a 10 minute driver to Lost City or Tayrona Park. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

• Kristina (10/5): You will fall in love with the place and want to come again… - What an amazing place! If you love nature and want to relax and be away from civilization this is the place for you. It is simple accommodation, but beautifully made and so serene. The garden and especially the pristine clear river right next to the property are a highlight of. There is also an amazing waterfall good for swimming 20minute walk away. Food is also good and the staff and the owner are very friendly and helpful. At night it gets really noisy from the jungle sounds so keep that in mind if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Also if you are afraid of insects better stay somewhere else, you will be in the jungle after all. But mosquito nets are everywhere so didn’t really have many come into our room, just few small ones. No mosquitoes when we visited.

We had a private room which was big and clean and had a balcony at the back with a hammock and was close to a beautiful river you can enjoy that runs through their property. The beach was a walk maybe 20 minutes or so but it meant evenings were so nice and quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Would have preferred it to be more social.

So close to the nature, green, calm area with the access to the river where you can start your morning with a swim. The owner is so friendly and helpful, you immediately see the place was created with so much attention (Harold, special prize from me for the playlist). Food was tasty, beds are comfortable, the common area is spacious and WiFi works well. The hostel is also very close to the waterfalls Poza Encantada you can enjoy. When we went to Tayrona Park after, the owner helped us getting a ride with motor taxis and when it turned out I forgot something, he send a motor to bring it to us at the entrance to the park.

• Antonios (10/5): Awesome experience - The nicest hostel we stayed at during our 2 weeks in Colombian Caribbean. The facilities are amazing. Very new, high quality built place. Super clean. The location of this place is extremely beautiful, offering great mountain views. There is a very nice and chill waterfall one can reach with a 30 minute hike. The location is also very convenient for reaching Tayrona. Herold (the owner) is extremely nice and accommodating, making sure people have an awesome stay at his place. There are the cutest 4 dogs and 2 cats in the whole Caribbean coast. We ended up meeting very nice people and spent two super pleasant nights. Wish we had more time to extend our stay! Everything was great!

I really liked it. A kitchen would be nice though, but the restaurant offers tasty meals and the staff is super lovely 😊

• Kribaa84 (10/5): Exceptional - Cool eco hostel in a lovely chilled place surrounded by nature. A lot of fruit/vegetables are grown on the site directly on the river and there are many animals. the accommodation is very clean and nicely designed. The staff/owners are very warm, friendly and helpful. <3 The organic regional food is really excellent, fresh, healthy and very tasty. the accommodation is highly recommended! we say thank you very much for everything! :)

• Jia (10/5): Paradise in Mendihuaca Beach - The location of the hostel is fantastic. It's a little walk to the beach but it has direct access to a beautiful river and it's quiet at night. The food, vibe and view are amazing. Great place to relax and rest. The beds are super comfy and the personnel and owners were very accommodating. There are moquitos, so bring repellent.

• Dominique (10/5): The perfect location to disconnect and enjoy a calm social vibe - The property and location are just amazing, even better than what you see in the pictures. There are a lot of open spaces, with a surrounding view of the jungle and mountains that you can enjoy from the different common areas. The nature was well preserved also on-site, instead of the typical indoors-hostels, here you get the chance to fully enjoy your environment. Still walking distance from the beach for a daily sunset, but far enough that you get your peace and quiet when needed.
• Korngold (10/5): A beautiful nature spot attached to a swimmable river! :) - This remote hostel was so amazing! We were one of its first customers as it just opened and the host was so friendly and gladly got us whatever we needed! Such a great sleep. There is a beautiful river to swim in attached at the back and you can lay and tan and swim! Also they are growing avocado trees and pineapple bushes etc. ALSO the dogs are really cute …. Would 100% recommend.
• An (9/5): Superb - GO to Encanto hostel! Encanto is truly a beautiful place to stay! So much better than what you expect from a hostel. Guaranteed that you will feel relaxed here :) . Beautiful natural materials are used, it's clean, it's a rather big land, you even find a river in the backyard, the place is very spacious, with enough working space if you need it, hammocks, plenty of room for yoga, the food honestly is super tasty, and last but not least: the staff, the people and the atmosphere (yes even the music - and I am a sensitive soul) are wonderful :) . Harold, the owner, is very kind and he will make sure you have what you need. He is passionate about this place he created and he is doing his best every day to fine-tune it and make it even better. ----> From Encanto you can go by foot to the great beaches. You will find the most beautiful hidden poza/river nearby. From Encanto you can take a 15min.bus to Tayrona park.
