- Edel (7/5): Good sized house, excellent location for us. - The attention to detail….boxes left out with food items such as biscuits and crisps. The fridge was kindly filled with basic provisions. There were toys which our sons loved. There were toiletry items in every bathroom. Cleanliness of kitchen eg plates, drawer handles
There was an odour from the master bedroom. So we chose an alternative bedroom. The mattress wasn’t very comfortable however.
No garden. So our children couldn’t go out to play football etc.
- Karen (8/5): - Very spacious, clean and comfortable house.
There was food for breakfast and boxes of snacks.
The host was in regular contact to make sure everything was ok for us.

- nicola (10/5): Beautiful house, perfect for a family break - House was clean and spacious with everything you could possibly need and more! Host was great, messaged to be sure we were okay and had very thoughtfully left milk, butter, eggs, bread, bacon and sausages etc to get us started. Garden needs finishing. It would have been lovely to sit out and relax in the evenings, but this would not stop me booking again.
- Julia (10/5): - Everything- beautiful home and location
- Caitriona (10/5): - The host left us a care pack with all the essentials and extras, snacks etc, also a pack with sanitary towels, deodorants etc… the stove was lit with burning turf which was so welcoming. Also the fridge was stocked with rashers, sausages and water etc.. I loved the location and the house was beautifully maintained, I highly recommend
- Sarah Louise (9/5): - The house is absolutely fab and spacious as we were a group of 8 and so clean everything you need and more to accommodate your stay, Mhaureen is such a lovely host and a really down to earth lady was so lovely to meet her😍, really enjoyed the time we spent there, even met the neighbourhood dog who might look a bit scary but he's really friendly just wants a rub he's a big puppy at heart 😂 The only negative I have is it would be lovely to have a nice seating area in the back garden so you could sit out and admire the view and maybe a little green area for kids but in saying that it wouldn't stop me staying again 😊
- Aisling (10/5): - Teach Mhaureen is a beautiful home from home. Location is fantastic for exploring this area of donegal. The house is spotlessly clean, very spacious but also cosy. There was little baskets filled with snacks etc waiting for us when we arrived. The host kept in touch with us throughout to make sure we were enjoying our stay and if there was anything she could do for us if we needed. Wifi is excellent for a rural location. A stair gate, cot and toys for the children was what made it for me. Essential items for travelling with very young children. We cannot wait to return again in the near future.
- Catriona34 (10/5): Excellent family holiday - We had a lovely weeks stay in gortahork, we arrived to a lovely turf fire lit for our arrival (love the smell of turf ) there was snacks left out ,essentials left for breakfast, this house definitely felt like a home from home ,it had everything we needed (absolutely everything (so generous 😇)toiletries in every bathroom ,the house was sooo spacious and the beds were cosy ,clean and comfortable ,there was a beautiful little play area at the top of the stairs for the children (they loved it) for days out there is a beautiful beach 5 mins away ,there's a petting zoo Errigal view pet zoo which is 11miles from gortahork , and also the dunlewey centre money beg, which is only 14 mins from gortahork ,great day out and only £3 to get in ,there's a huge play park ,boat rides ,animals, cafe, walks ,go carts ,amazing days out ,the shops local are great and the food was amazing. I only spoke to Mhaureen on the phone and she was so lovely🥰 only a message away if we needed to know anything and regularly messaged to see if we were OK. The views from the house was beautiful mountain views very irish and rustic ,thankyou so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home we really did have a lovely week ,we hope to be back next year 🥰🥰 We loved everything
- Kimberley (9/5): Everyone had a lovely weekend and said they would go back again. - A great spacious family house. We did not meet our host but she was in regular contact with us to ensure we had everything we needed. The outside area is unfinished and although the scenery is beautiful, it didn't feel inviting to sit outside especially with small children.
- Maire (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay at Teach Mhaureen - The house, is very spacious, well equipped, clean and comfortable. It is well situated for touring; with beautiful scenery and beaches a short drive away. Many restaurants, pubs and shops are within easy reach by car. Mhaureen had left a very generous welcome pack to facilitate a hearty breakfast. She also contacted us mid stay to ask if we were okay or needed anything..
- Ciara (10/5): Exceptional - The house was fabulous 👌 very spacious & spotless clean. Everything that you need for your stay. It's in a great location for touring or soaking up the local scenery. Ideal space for families. Lovely view of Tory Island in the distance. Few minutes to the beach. Can't wait to stay again. We all thoroughly enjoyed our few days with family.
Would recommend Dixons Bar, Teac Jack, An Chuirt Hotel for food & entertainment...all within 5-15mins drive. We booked the dip & sauna at Magheroarty pier. It was well worth it!
Our hosts were exceptionally kind & it was greatly appreciated. N/A

- Mc (10/5): Exceptional - Me and my family liked everything about Teach Mhaureen,The host Mhaureen had everything you needed and was very friendly. She had left a few treats for us when we arrived fresh bread, milk, eggs, sausages and bacon in the fridge, tea bags coffee, sugar etc and was on the phone a few times making sure we were ok. The house was very modern and spacious, spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room for the family to stay. If your looking a peaceful place to stay we recommend here, Five minutes drive will bring you to 2 bars and a beautiful sandy beach shaped like a horseshoe with a harbour that brings you to Tory Island. We will definitely be back. Thank you Mhaureen for a wonderful stay. Nothing 10/10
