Guest Reviews
- Suzanne B-Watts (10/5): Tranquil stay in a spotless well equipped property - The property is spotless and has everything you would need for a holiday away from home. It is lovely and peaceful. A lovely kitchen with everything I needed to hand. The staircase is awkward as there is no rail at the very top, but it is manageable with care.
- John (9/5): - A very comfortable, clean, warm well equipped house. The owner Imogen was very friendly & helpful. Everything was fine including the car park next to the house.
- Stephanie (10/5): Excellent stay. - Everything.
Cosy, comfortable and Charming. All you could need.
Lovely location.

- Kelly (9/5): Brilliant. Easy check in. Excellent location. Great value for money! - Location, cleanliness, size, parking, Mattress in main bedroom was a little uncomfortable but that’s personal preference. The bedding was clean and fresh and the mattress wouldn't put me off staying again.
- Suzanne B-Watts (9/5): Beautiful accommodation which met all of our needs - A large, beautiful space with everything we could have asked for. Very comfortable. Stair rail on stairs not so good for over 70's.
- Jamie (9/5): -
- Debra (9/5): Lovely accommodation and I would recommend to others - It was extremely clean and spacious , there was everything we needed and was in close walking distance to the beach. There was also an off licence, a chippy and kebab takeaway all about ten mins walk from the accommodation. The outside of the property was quite dirty, as there were a few birds nests in the gutter so there was quite a lot of bird mess on the path and on the windows, and the grass needed cutting as we had a dog with us.
- Jennifer (9/5): - Beautiful large clean house. Plenty of facilities. Everything thought of. Beautiful views. The road to walk to the beach with dogs
- Dennis van Zanten (9/5): - Spacious private parking.
Modern and fully equipped kitchen.
Close to start of Ultra-X Wales.
Good bathroom (shower & bath).
Availability of washing machine. Staircase gate narrow for bringing suitcases upstairs.
Few final touches (broken lamp rightside of bed)
- Jan (9/5): Nice - Convenient location Nothing
- Ant Mills (5/5): We do all our own cooking when self catering. This has a nice clean kitchen BUT several shortfalls - The keys were in the door. What more can you say? There is no signage outside that the property is called Kimberley House. I notice others have suggested this but there appears to be no response to this suggestion. It is a small end of terrace cottage in the middle of nowhere and is in between Fairbourne & Arthog. A sign would help immensely.
Considering it is a self catering establishment, some "expected" kitchen items were not available.
No Salt & Pepper. No flat fish slice, or similar, for turning over food. No containers for microwave cooking. No flat baking sheet for oven use. (Heating pizza etc) No wooden spatula for stir frying. No cling film or tin foil.
Broken drawer under the hob in the kitchen.
- Hayden (10/5): Wonderful stay in Arthog - Very clean, beautiful and comfortable. Facilities and amenities were excellent and fully equipped. Nothing.
- Martha (8/5): Fabulous comfortable stay in a great location for reaching everywhere we wanted to visit. Would have been nice to find - Enclosed garden, comfortable bed, lovely kitchen Narrow steep staircase
- Paul (8/5): Fantastic base, perfect location and secure if taking a dog with you. - The location, spotlessly clean inside and great communication with the host The outside area could have been tidier and the table and chairs cleaned
- Ruth (9/5): Excellent stay at Kimberly House - Spotlessly clean, very comfortable. A quiet location even though on a main road. Ideal for visiting family who are restoring their house nearby. Very good value for money as we had the whole house rather than an hotel room. Recommend Fairbourne steam train nearby for ferry into Barmouth. Free parking at station. Mainline Station also at Fairbourne House name not on property so difficult to find have noted this in visitors book.
Being elderly we would find it better if there was another grab rail over the bath to help getting in & out & to hold while showering.
- Lisa-marie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property, very clean, equipped with everything you'd need. Lovely location and easy to find.
- Johanna (9/5): Great place - The location was great, the place was lovely with all the required amenities. It was windy for the two nights stay and the front room window had a very loud whistling noise and howling noise throughout the night for the two nights stay.
- Vsevolod (9/5): Superb -
- Antony (9/5): Superb - thanks
- Jane (10/5): Amazing and Memorable - The property was absolutely amazing spotlessly clean spacious it was like home from home and I am very very particular and I was impressed .my daughter and I and our pup loved every minute and hopefully we are going to make our stay at Kimberly House next time for at least 5 nights and our plan is to return .I would highly recommend and will do to my family and friends.
Imogen was extremely helpful kind and very understanding I cannot fault anything
- Morag (10/5): Lovely cottage 5 minute drive from gorgeous beach - So clean and modern. Very spacious ground floor and main bedroom. Surprise of a second bedroom. Modern bathroom too. Garden was enclosed which was great for our dogs Nothing!
- Andrea (9/5): A lovely spotlessly clean property - This lovely property was absolutely spotlessly clean. The host has made it perfect for a home from home. I would without a doubt, absolutely return! The area has links with an equestrian centre and locally bike hire. In easy reach for the station at fairbourne, a very well stocked convenience store, chip shop and places to eat. All of this set within the beautiful Welsh mountains and coastline. Something for everyone! It may be a difficulty for others that the road in front is quite difficult to walk down. However we were happy to drive to the station at fairbourne and park for free for the entire day!
- Abdulaziz (9/5): Tidy and clean home - Very clean and spacious house. Missing an iron
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
