Guest Reviews
- Catalina (9/5): - A small and cozy little house, perfect for a short stay. I would recommend paying more attention to cleanliness. The floors didn’t seem thoroughly cleaned, as my socks became dirty after only 10 minutes. Aside from this, I have no other complaints.
- John (8/5): Perfect stopover point. Just off the M6 and close to nice restaurants and lovely views - Conviennent for thé m6 as we were breaking a long journey up to Scotland All worked well for us for a 1 night stay - no problems at all. Just a couple of small things:
One suggestions is that it would b good to have 1 room with twin beds to be more flexible. For one night was ok for teenagers to share a bed but would not work for a longer stay.
We had to chase for the code for the keys safe - would b better if this came with the confirmation as had some worries as we were driving up the m6 not knowing if we could get it!!

- Madeleine (9/5): Ideal spot for breaking journey between Devon and Scotland - Very well appointed inside Rather noisy at night due to the close proximity to the road
- Patricia (10/5): - No full length mirror
- Ashley Paul Douglas (8/5): - Very good quality fittings, good attention to detail on the obvious renovation that must have occurred relatively recently. Great cottage feel. Bedrooms were very cozy. The location is not ideal, very very busy, noisy road next to it. Awkward entrance, difficult to find. Weird double front door that impinges on your entering the property. All maybe sounds insignificant, but it does impact your stay.
- Russell (7/5): Nicely appointed and furnished, good location for exploring the area. - No breakfast, none expected.
Location was good.
Good facilities inside No bathroom mirror.
No full length mirror.
Directional facility on shower didn't work.
Had to close the windows to keep out the traffic noise.
Not much in Newby Bridge itself.
Heard to locate, drove past it three times.
Tried to contact manager twice whilst there, got no response.

- Jayne (9/5): Great location comfortable stay - Great location, everything you need in a self catering cottage.
- John (8/5): Perfect stop off - loved it - what a find!! - Perfect for what we needed - a break off the m6 from a long journey up to Scotland - that’s also great value for money. In the past we’ve stayed at the Swan Inn as a treat, but with Bridge Cottage we could stay in the cottage, eat at the Swan! Total winner - We’ll do this again. Could do with better instructions to find the cottage - the post code wasn’t enough to get the last tricky but clear. But when we called the owner for help she was marvellous!
- Alison (10/5): A great property in a good location. Everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. - Great location, very stylish and comfortable. It was very clean and we loved the comfy sofa.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jon (9/5): A really nice place to stay and visit the Lakes. - The property is really well situated to enable access to the southern Lakes and is very modern inside with great facilities. The sofa was really comfortable and the kitchen had everything that we needed.
The cottage is right by the main road, providing great access, but some may find the passing traffic a little noisy (we didn’t).
We did have a slight issue on arrival but Aimee sorted this straight away. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely be staying again in the future. There is no garden to speak of with the cottage but this was not an issue as we spent most of the day outdoors walking and so were looking for a comfortable place to crash at the end of the day.

- Raul (9/5): Superb -
