• Tandin (9/5): Cozy and convenient place and location. 😊 - It was a very comfortable apartment for a couple and in a perfectly convenient location for site-seeing where all the sites were within 15-minute reach. We were fine with the expectations of the host as we are quiet people. However, the curfew time and quiet hours might be a bit of a restricted feeling for a few. Just a heads up.

• Alasdair (5/5): Need to work on their communication - Room was a good size. We had a bad experience getting into the property and weren't sent any check in instructions. The address says number 6. When we arrived someone was in it! When we call the host we got a very frantic and borderline rude response telling us we were too late to check in, turns out we were in 6A which had been left open for us etc but took a while to get to this information.
• Marcel (7/5): - Has potential but needs a bit of thought into functionality of some of the features. Pre-arranged extra bed was not available, having a broken headboard, Host then arranged for a mattress on the floor. Although booked for 6 people the kitchen is only equipped for 4 people. While the upstairs (separate) apartment has a small kitchenette set up for 2, nobody wants to trek up an outside staircase in the dark to go fetch cutlery etc. ? Not sure why the inside staircase was closed off permanently as having a lockable door to turn it into two separate apartments would be more functional.

• David (4/5): Disappointed - The owner was very attentive and polite Very noisy up to midnight due to guests next door who were simply talking and watching tv but sounded like they were in our bedroom, I called the emergency telephone number but could only leave a recorded message, the upstairs property 6A needs sound proofing and renovating until then shouldn’t be rented out to paying guests, the bedroom is in a fair state apart from scratched and tired furniture , the kitchen is unusable a rusty fridge and a microwave only shelving being removed! the bathroom needs a good clean and updating, a piece of left over soap from whoever! Don’t use the gate at the top of the outdoor stairs it’s an accident waiting to happen I hope the owner makes improvements as she was very pleasant but needs to update 6A asap .

• JingYi (10/5): great - The host was incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. Before our arrival, they had prepared a bottle of wine and some chocolates, which made us feel instantly at home. Key collection was also very convenient, with easy access right at the door. The house is very spacious and can comfortably accommodate at least six people without feeling crowded. The common areas are large and perfect for relaxing or spending time together, making it ideal for families or groups of friends. Everything was clean, tidy, and nicely set up. What impressed us most was how well-equipped the house was. The furniture and daily necessities were all provided, and the kitchen was fully stocked—almost like you could start cooking right away, with even basic ingredients like oil and salt prepared. There is also both a washing machine and a dryer, which is especially convenient for longer stays or group travel. Overall, it was a very smooth and comfortable stay—truly a perfect experience. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend it to others! nothing
• Jenni (10/5): We had a lovely and memorable last night to our holiday, Thankyou. 💕 - The design, presentation and location of the house was excellent. It also had a few added extras, ie. Port and choccies, even though we didn’t partake. Not that we didn’t like, there could’ve been a bit more things in the kitchen cupboards, and also in numbers. A few more kitchen implements as we like to cook. The kitchen itself was good, more than six pieces of cutlery too, Thankyou.

• Sin (8/5): Huge house with 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Quiet and peaceful location. - Located in the residential area with 2 parking lots. Quiet and peaceful at night. Very huge house with 3 comfortable rooms and 2 bathrooms (hard to find). Short drive to restaurants and yet away from the crowd. Top room has a baby cot. Would appreciate if owner could remove it and only take out when asked upon. Can be a little scary at night.

• Ronald (9/5): A relaxing, fun and enjoyable stay. - The spaciousness and cleanliness of the place thrilled us. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Have large living room and large dining room too was a bonus for everyone. It had complimentary wine and a single chocolate😅. Getting inside was easy as the host sent the code when we got there. The second floor was nice and had a balcony to see the surroundings. We will recommend this to our friends and colleagues. At least have a Wi-fi although not that important for a night stay. There was no complimentary milk in the fridge. There was an annoying noise on the roof, which was probably made by the wind, which kept me awake during the night.

That meant we were able to be together and apart very easily as desired. Only a very short distance to the coast road, so getting into town, to the national park entrance and the various coastal walks/lookouts was very easy.

• Wenshu (1/5): disappointing - There was a major bushfire on the morning of our check-in day, cutting off the road and making it absolutely impossible for us to reach the hotel. This was a natural disaster—completely beyond our control. Despite this, the host showed no understanding or flexibility, insisting that we should still somehow make it to the hotel, which was simply not possible under such dangerous conditions. As international travelers, we were extremely disappointed by the lack of empathy and support. We did not even ask for a full refund—only a partial one—but even that was flatly rejected. The booking platform tried its best to help mediate, but the hotel offered no active response or solution. Rules are made for people, not the other way around. In times of crisis like this, a little understanding goes a long way. Sadly, we received none

• Hanh (8/5): Clean, spacious, comfy beds, linen provided; aircons, enjoyable shower, - the house is clean and spacious, both inside and outside. Enough space and seats/ chairs for every one. Full linen was provided. Beds / mattresses are quite comfortable. I loved the water pressure from the shower; so enjoyable. Location is not our concern for this trip as it is a stopover before our next destination. Although there are a few small things that could be improved, we are quite happy to come back if we are in Kalbarri again. A few things could be improved and I think it could be easily done such as: 1) communication. There was no communication initiated by the owner of the property regarding access to the property. Over the years, owners / property managers always emailed me instructions on how to gain access. However, this time I did not receive any instruction before my arrival date. One day before my arrival, I contacted the owner and was advised that she would open the door for me when I got there. I was anxious about that as I would arrive quite late in the evening. Anyway, she reassured me she would open the door for me anytime. What if, something happens to her and no one pick up the phone ??? Anyway, we ended up getting there at 9pm. We called her and she verbally gave us the access code to the key box and was helpful with whatever questions we got. For peace of mind and stress free trip, I believe there should be at better way to manage this 2) dinner ware could be improved. The house is for 6 and there are 5 small bowls (for rice) and 4 or 5 bowls for soups, bits and pieces. lots of spoons, folks, ... some one needs to regularly keep an eye for this so there is at least 6 of each. 3) there is no dish washing tablets for dishwashing machine. Again, some one could keep an eye on these small things.

The corn ribs and the edamame was brilliant, the quesadillas resembled over fried tacos or simply missed the mark. Kalbarri by itself was beautiful and your house was lovely it kept us cool.
