• William (9/5): Location, location, location. - The location is really central to some nice restaurants and 2 minutes from the main Hiriketiya beach. The room was sizeable, the WiFi worked well and it was clean. There can be some noise from Clear Point bar on their karaoke night and then from Jungle Party but once I put ear plugs in you couldn’t hear them. Both events finished around 1am so not too late.

• Jochen (8/5): Anzug wegen lauten Nachbarn - Ausstellung ist gut und sauber ist es auch! Personal ist freundlich und hilfreich. Lage ist sehr zentral. Strand und Minimarkt gleich um die Ecke. Ohne die unten beschrieben Mängel wäre die Bewertung 9. Die Nachbarn (Stand: 15.03.2026): Tagsüber Baustelle, Nachts Karaoke (Freitag und Sonntag) und Djungel Party (Samstag). Also Ruhe darf man aktuell tagsüber und am Wochenende auch nachts nicht erwarten. Personal sitzt immer im Garten, da es keine richtige Rezeption gibt. Das ist im Erdgeschoss etwas doof, weil man nur bei zugezogen Vorhängen Privatsphäre hat. Essen auf der Terrasse ist wegen Affen auch nicht zu empfehlen.

• Emilia (8/5): A great stay which is very good value - Serendib villa is a nice property which is very clean and has everything you need for the price point. It is a good location in the sense that it is very close to Hiriketiya bay and nice shops/restaurants. Unfortunately Clear Point (a local bar) is very loud and had an event on every night we stayed (Friday - Monday) until the early hours which if you are not participating in the night life / are a light sleeper means it’s difficult to sleep. This is not the property’s fault so we’re sorry to be leaving this review but we thought it best to be honest to ensure the right people stay here!

• Samuel (7/5): A decent place to stay in good location, but slightly over priced & noisy. - It’s amazing location to the beach and some good restaurants. It feels safe away from the main road and is very well located. The room was spacious, comfortable and nice in many ways. The staff were polite and made me feel very welcome. For the price, I didn’t love the fact they provided no basics like body soap in the bathroom for the shower and my room wasn’t cleaned once, (I never asked, but was never offered). Also, it can be super noisy from the surrounding bars. This isn’t the hotels fault, but it’s something to consider.

• Yoni (10/5): Great stay - Very comfortable, large, and clean room. I had a really stellar 3-day stay. Location is more than ideal. Right next to the nicest part of the beach and the best food in town. Staff was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and helpful. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other rooms in town but I would say worth it. Very peaceful, stay. Cozy sheets, strong/cool AC, a powerful ceiling fan and each room has it's own Wifi network. Property manager is on-site and available 24/7 and happy to help. Water pressure could be a bit stronger in the shower but still a very nice bathroom experience with 24/7 instant hot water. Good ventilation and no bugs! That's a first for me in Sri Lanka. I saw another comment speak to the noise in the area... While there is a bar and louder restaurant nearby, the villa is tucked off of the main road. In my experience, the noise from the street barely audible in the room. So you get prime location with minimal noise.

Daarna het personeel weinig meer gezien, maar dat was ook niet nodig. De manager kwam wel een paar keer langs om te laten weten dat we altijd iets konden vragen als we iets nodig hadden. De locatie is top: dichtbij het strand en een heerlijk ontbijttentje. Enige minpuntje was dat er vlakbij een restaurant zit met karaoke-avond; dit was één avond het geval en goed hoorbaar in de kamer.

• Brent (5/5): Great place, not so great staff. - Newly renovated. Place is nice and clean. Close to the beach and main stores and restaurants. Shower was the best we had so far. The guy working there can't speak english at all. This lead to a lot of frustration, since we asked him for an extra night stay (on our second day there). He quickly replied yes okay. To which I asked him 5 more times if he is 100% sure (even showing him on the booking.com app and a calendar app what I meant. To which he replied: yes sir, possible. Then you can already guess it, he didn't understand what we meant. Which lead to a lot of frustration and dissapointment in this accommodation. Since we already had planned the rest of our vacation 1 day later.

Nice hosts, they offered to clean our room if needed. Lots of places to eat nearby. We definitely loved this place! Very clean and modern. Perhaps an extra small towel would be nice :) (to use after washing hands or so)

• Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional - Very pretty and luxurious building and rooms. The location is great and a bit off the road so more quiet than some other properties. Also, the rooms were very spatious and clean, with a seating area outside. The owners were friendly, and available if necessary. We had a problem with our tuk tuk when we left and they helped fix it, which was really nice. The friday night party (secret jungle). is close to the property. So you might hear the music. For us it was not too bad and we could sleep through it.

• Brindha (7/5): Good - Good villa in an excellent location. Brand new and good hot shower and clean on arrival. Lovely area to sit outside and a stones throw to restaurants ,shop etc and the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. This place has huge potential if they can get some basics right. Rooms are not cleaned daily ( unless perhaps you ask - but no one speaks any English so it's difficult to communicate ). Bed incredibly hard and one pillow each - uncomfortable. Guests should be warned not to leave footwear outside as dogs steal items at night .Due to the lack of daily cleaning, leaving sandy shoes outside is really a necessity - so this is something they need to address. There was confusion about payment just as we were leaving into a cab- these are things that can be addressed on arrival or any other day - not as we were just leaving as it caused last minute stress.

Perfect location to walk straight out the door to many great food options and beautiful Hiriketiya beach. The outdoor shower was a great addition for a wash off when returning from an early morning surf. Having the two upstairs rooms was great for our family with two teenagers. We appreciated being able to leave our bags for a few hours before we departed for our next location after check out.

• Neringa (9/5): Centrally located new villa, minimalistic - New villa, with everything you need (cutlery, plates, fridge, amazing shower, clothes hanger), cozy yard. The hosts are super nice, helped us arrange laundry. Location very central - near ATM, supermarket, bars and cafes, close to the beach - all within 5 minutes walk. In room 2 we would have liked a little more privacy, the staff is working around often, so we had to keep our curtains closed. Also keep in mind that due to its proximity to the town centre, there are parties and loud music almost every night until midnight. Bring earplugs! Wifi could be improved.

The location is perfect, within a few minutes walking you are at the beach and near good restaurants. The family is helpful and kind. We really enjoyed our stay. The villa’s are very new. One small point of improvement would be an outside water tape to clean our sandy feet, so we could have limited the sand in the bathroom and room.

• Adele (9/5): Nice and new! - Great place in the jungle close to the beach! Everything is new and clean. We booked very last minute and they still could accommodate us. Thanks! Overall great experience. Close to cafes and shops. The window doesn't open so the only way to get fresh air is to keep the doors to the outside. Payment was accepted only in cash, adding extra cost for withdrawing (6% at the nearby ATM). Also, the gym and pool table showed in the pictures does not belong to the Vila, are just activities nearby. Had some issues with wifi.

Good to know that because of the good location, it can be a little noisy (music) because of nearby restaurants. But it's only till midnight.
