Guest Reviews
- Megan (8/5): Fantastic Getaway - I loved the upstairs portion of this house. The living room, porch with a grill, deck, dining room, bathroom, and kitchen; fantastic layout and cozy. The heat was best upstairs and it was so nice to curl up and drink coffee while looking out into nature. It’s not directly on the edge of the woods, but still gorgeous views.
Downstairs were the two bedrooms, and another porch to enter from parking the car below. The comforters were warm and the heater worked very well once you let it work for awhile.
The kitchen was great for cooking small meals. The furniture is very comfortable and clean. It was easy to park, we only had one car. Plus the tv was set for streaming services like Netflix and Tubi.
Overall, this is an amazing house to rent if you just want to escape for a few days and have slow mornings with nice neighborhood walks. The bathtub could use a good deep cleaning and pipe refitting. It leaked through the second drain that’s right under the faucet. By just using the shower was great though, the water temperature was perfect and I love the water pressure.

- James (10/5): Definitely a place I would like to go back to, super cozy for just a personal couples retreat - Everything was up to standard. We enjoyed our experience. Everything was perfect
- Kimberly (4/5): They made me drive to an office location 20 minutes away from the property to pick up keys. When I got there they gave m -
- David (10/5): I highly recommend this place. It’s very beautiful, clean, and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a gateway. - This cozy place has everything you need for a relaxing weekend getaway. There wasn’t a trash can in the house or a plug in the restroom to blow dry my hair, but everything else was really amazing—just little things that weren’t a big deal.
- Ryland (4/5): Nice Cabin, Lots of Disruptions & Issues - We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, living area, and location. Management was great (at addressing issues–not so much for proactively working to mitigate issues ahead of time). Upon arrival, we discovered a bag of trash in the back yard area, and the edge of one of the steps was splintering off (and eventually fell completely off). Initially, we couldn't get the oven to light - and even once lit, it would sometimes go out. The listing also mentions kitchen essentials and an oven, but they didn't have any oven cookware (baking sheet, pan, oven mits, etc). Management brought all of these things the next day, which was great. The listing also mentions outlets near nightstands–this is inaccurate. There was only one outlet near the nightstands–in the middle of the wall behind the bed. We also found the old sleep number mattress incredibly uncomfortable. My wife was 8 months pregnant so getting comfortable is already a challenge.
We also discovered mouse droppings inside the entertainment center. Clearly, the cleaning team does surface-level cleaning, as it was obvious no one had been in that cabinet in a long time. Management sent someone out right away to come clean it out. Lastly, one of the neighbors mistook us for a different renter next door and called the host company, saying they had us on video dumping our trash bags in their bins. The lady apparently threatened to call the police, etc. Management called me to inquire, and I assured them it wasn't us–we had only been there two nights and hadn't taken any trash out (we took our trash to the management office dumpster upon checkout).
To summarize, over the course of a 3-night stay, we had several disruptions, property issues, mouse droppings, etc–none of which (outside of the crazy neighbor–that's outside of their control) should happen when paying $850+ for a stay. Management promptly addressed all of our issues–they did a great job, it's just unfortunate they had to do anything at all. They should reevaluate their cleaning standards and institute a checklist to ensure all amenities are available in between rentals.
- Maria (10/5): Pleacent relaxing place. Very comfortable ideal for any occasion. - Customer service lady really nice, place was beautyful and comfortable. Tub
- Jenn (3/5): Not being told there was no trash facilities is a vacation rental dealbreaker - The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, the upstairs was bright and spacious. There were no trash facilities available! As a family of four with 2 babies not having trash on the property for 4 days of food and diapers was a disaster. We were told by the resort facilitator Barbara that this is standard in this part of Big Bear, BEWARE! We had to make 2 runs to trash facilities and very considered trash gathering which became a bit of a nightmare. Not to mention there was no dustpan and brush or any kind of vacuum for standard tidying. Another frustrating part of the house was that each time you open and shut an outside door the alarm announces it. With the front door beside the room of our napping babies this was anything but practical. We found cumulatively the issues above very disruptive to our stay at a time where peace and ease was something we needed. Every property should inform guests prior to booking that they will not have trash facilities. Had we known we would not have stayed here.

- mejia (8/5): - Location. Privacy. Peace Stairs
- Dourron (9/5): Superb - All of it I like everything especially the bathtub
- Nika (10/5): I think it was amazing! Great aesthetics and very comfortable - We really enjoyed our stay! It was so nice and accommodating to all of our needs. We liked the fact that we felt at home. Thank you so much for such an amazing stay!!! It was very dry and so I think having a humidifier would have made the experience better. Overall it was great! I would definitely recommend staying here again!
- Adam (9/5): Cozy Home Away from the Crowds - Location was isolated, which was our preference. Close enough to access the city but far away to avoid the skiing hoard. The house was well appointed and comfortable. It had everything needed for an extended stay. We really enjoyed making a fire every night and roasting marshmallows. The street is quiet. Getting access to the property was easy. Would like to return in the spring/summer to enjoy the patios. The shower is horrible and the thing that prevents the property getting a 10. The diverter valve only sends about half of the water to the showerhead which is probably okay as about half the holes in the showerhead are blocked so there's only a narrow pattern of water. The home has mice, not atypical for the area, but we only saw them twice in three days. The heating system was challenged to keep the house warm, but there are visible gaps and breezes around the doors. Disposing of the trash ourselves, despite paying a $165 cleaning fee is annoying.
- Jin (10/5): A hidden gem, staff very friendly and accommodating. - Great place to stay in Big Bear! Close to the resort, dog friendly. More snow!
- Cain (10/5): Exceptional -
- Griffin (8/5): Very good -
