Geräumige und moderne Zimmer mit sehr gut funktionierender Klimaanlage. Schöne und sichere Nachbarschaft. An den Wänden war leider ein wenig Schimmel, dieser hat unseren Aufenthalt allerdings keineswegs beeinträchtigt.

Ich habe da eindeutig mehr erwartet. Gerade in der Regenzeit sollte das Hotel Moskitonetze zur Verfügung stellen, um das Risiko an Dengue-fieber zu erkranken zu verringern.

• Guest (7/5): Very comfortable and relaxed environment in green leafy compound. - The compound has a good-sized swimming pool, that is well-maintained and cleaned daily. Nearby food outlets served some excellent traditional Sri Lankan food, and there is a kulfi (ice-cream) shop nearby too. It's inconvenient not to have a fridge in the room, and the staff struggled to get a taxi when I was leaving, despite having been informed the day before. Luckily I was not going to the airport!

• Dharmassri Mangala (2/5): Read the advert and check with management before book whether you get all the listed facilities - welcome drink Space Beds (comfortable but very smelly beddings) Not clean at all, the entire villa is badly smelly and dusty. Listed room facilities does not exist, description of the room is just a copy paste from another advert (only had dirty beddings and towel, soap in the bathroom. no bins, dust all over the furniture, no tea coffee maker in the room only shared kitchen (very dirty, cockroach all over). Swimming pool is just a picture only. Don't deceive by the pictures in the advert, there is communal pool for the entire housing scheme. Hotel staff discourage you to use the pool and they just tell you that there is an issue to stop you using it. The pool water is very dirty. The rooms cannot lock and keys does not work. If you are booking the entire villa, you need to leave your stuff in an unlock house. I did not feel safer to leave anything. Note to the management. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with lot of cultural values. It is a welcoming country and trying to encourage tourism. Therefore, please do not destroy the image of the country by incorrect advertising. Please individually update the description of each villa, do not provide misleading information for pricing purposes.

Vor Ort erhielten wir stattdessen eine Besenkammer mit Kakerlaken und ohne jegliche Ausstattung. Alle Extras fehlten - rund 20 Ausstattungsmerkmale wie Schrank, Pflegeprodukte, Fernseher oder Fön. Es fehlte wirklich alles. Vollkommen indiskutabel. Man entschuldige sich bei uns und ließ uns wissen, dass unser gebuchtes Zimmer belegt sei. Begründung: Andere Gäste hätten unerwartet verlängert. Unser Fazit: katastrophal. Warum müssen wir wegen anderer Gäste büßen? Weil es schon spät war, blieben wir nach einer anstrengenden Anreise in der Besenkammer unter der Treppe und verzichteten auf eine Stornierung.

• Ryan A Peters (10/5): Spectacular Experience! - Thisara Luxury Villas was an absolute delight and the best part of my stay in Sri Lanka. The rooms are modern, loft style, with good aircon, hot water and the breakfast was delicious - they changed it up regularly over the 8 nights that I stayed. The villa is nestled in an upmarket community with security. They are actually pillared mansions, with a communal pool. The WiFi worked well too. It felt like a 5 star hotel experience. The customer service was exceptional. Charminda is the best - he knows how to look after his guests. Trivon, the manager, came to help locate my phone when I forgot it in the Uber. Thank you. There are good restaurants nearby and Uber eats also delivers food. You can also get a tuk-tuk on the app to get to the beach or other attractions in Negombo. I highly recommend this place and will return! I have found my spot. It was total value for money.
