Guest Reviews
- mabaso (10/5): 1000/10 - We loved everything about the place, the animals were frequently paying us a visit. Rihanda was a great host, she gave us all the info we needed to know about ibhubesi house. The self check-in was very convenient. The house is very secure, we enjoyed the ncaah pool!!!!!
- Marijke (8/5): - Grote locatie. We waren met onze dochter en zoon (21 en 19 jaar) op vakantie daarom erg fijn dat er 3 slaapkamers waren en 2 badkamers.
De inrichting is heel mooi! Complimenten daarvoor!
Keuken redelijk compleet. Op 1 van dekbedden lag viezigheid. Gelukkig hoefde op dat bed niemand te slapen, maar anders had ik gevraagd om nieuw beddengoed.
De geur bij de picknicktafel is soms heel vies, misschien door de sceptictank?
- Tshegofatso (10/5): The stay was exceptional and fun. - It is quiet and peaceful. It was lovely seeing all the animals around.. including the monkeys lol. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The property was very clean. The only thing I didn’t like was the road leading to the house, for a small car it’s was hard navigating through it.
- Bohlale (10/5): -
- Michele Hassink (8/5): - Beautiful place, stunning private location. Very modern. Overall great stay. Host is wonderful. Could do with better basic kitchen supplies. And better quality bedding.
- Richard (10/5): Fantastic - N/a The washed out road from flooding, leading to the property
- Shay (10/5): - Loved the accomodation. Loved the fact that we had wifi.
The host was easy to get ahold of and answered all our questions.
We had a lot of animals come to visit which was the whole point of our stay.
Would love another opportunity to come back again.
Thank you soooo much Watch out for the baboons.
We left the bathroom window open by mistake and got a hoard of baboons come in to raid the kitchen.
Be careful with closing all doors and windows.
- Kanaisloul (10/5): Parfait - Maison Tres sympathique

- Richard (9/5): Wildlife, sunsets, and outdoor living made Ibhubesi House in Marloth Park truly unforgettable. - Unforgettable Safari Living at Ibhubesi House, Marloth Park
Our recent stay at Ibhubesi House in Marloth Park was nothing short of magical—an experience that far exceeded our expectations and left us with memories to cherish forever.
From the moment we arrived, the charm and tranquillity of Ibhubesi House swept us away. The African bush was just outside our door, and each day was filled with incredible wildlife encounters. We were lucky enough to feed impala, zebra, kudu, and a variety of other animals right next to the swimming pool! Watching these beautiful creatures graze and wander freely while we relaxed in our private outdoor space was both humbling and exhilarating.
Another highlight was the amazing outdoor patio and BBQ area. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventure, enjoy some classic South African braai, and soak up the stunning views and fresh bush air. We made great use of this area, sharing laughs and good food as the sun set over the park.
The house itself was comfortable, spacious, and superbly equipped—ideal for total relaxation. But the real showstopper came in the evenings, as the sky transformed into a canvas of vivid oranges, pinks, and purples. Marloth Park’s sunsets are absolutely breathtaking, silhouetting the bushveld and its roaming wildlife. Each sunset felt like a personal show—one I’ll never forget.
If you’re seeking the ultimate South African bush retreat, Ibhubesi House is the spot. It’s the perfect blend of luxury, adventure, and nature at its finest. I can’t recommend it more highly for anyone who wants a unique, up-close wildlife experience and a chance to relax in one of the most beautiful corners of the world. The only downside was that I wished I could've stayed longer and shared the experience with more family members.
- akshay (8/5): Awesome time , cant wait for the next trip. - The host are great and friendly , the setting and rooms were great. Braai area was awesome, Pool was well maintained and the animal feeding through by the window 10/10. A hidden TV behind the awesome lion photo would be nice , but overall nothing bad to say about this stay.
- Annette (8/5): Guter Rückzugsort nach Safaris im Kruger - Modern, sehr sauber, absolut ruhig Zufahrt schwierig
- Tshifhiwa (8/5): Our stay was exceptional, my parents were so relaxed, we bonded as a family. - We liked that the place was very private and peaceful. Most essentials were available and at our disposal. There was a time of no power, and back up solar ran out. With no awareness it was a bit difficult to adapt but Rihanda was very accountable and we appreciate that. The chargeable lights were however not charged so that was inconvenient.
- Gaoraelwe (9/5): We really enjoyed, peaceful and a lovely house - Perfect vacation home👌 Nothing
- Kurhula (9/5): -
- Mitchell (10/5): we had a great experience and the host was very friendly i was happy with my stay -
- Johandrie (8/5): -
- Oratiloe (5/5): -
- Mack (8/5): iits a very nice place. quite, peaceful and surounded by nature - location and Nature the shower drainage system isnt working. when you shower it floods and water ends up flooding to other rooms. also the window needs curtains. i enjoy my privacy more than anything. especially in the living area
- Thobile (9/5): Lovely getaway - Great location, very private. Cute pool, overall clean house. Lots of wild animals can be seen from all over the facility (we saw Deer, Zebras, Giraffes, Spring Boks, Warthogs, and plenty more without a safari drive. The host was very sweet, great communicator. The shower had pink mould and the overhead needs to be descaled, there is white buildup so I had to wear my slippers when showering.
- cara (10/5): - No tv
- Riaan (10/5): Wonderful property and great animal visits! - Wonderful location, layout of house made it wonderful. Pool was great for a swim, large rooms, open kitchen was great. Animals visiting was breathtaking! I cannot fault anything.
- Portia (10/5): The stay was extremely amazing and peaceful, overall all was perfect 👌 - The quietness and privacy is unmatched Nothing but a TV will bonus since I love football 🙈
- Ntuli (9/5): Our stay was amazing, the host responded so quickly and positively in all requests. The place is quiet and private which - The house is sooo clean and open. At one point the alarm went off by mistake and to my surprise the security response is quick. The road to the house is not friendly to small car.
- Kerry (7/5): Lovely - Lovely location Very poor sign posting for the house. Impossible to see at night.
Problem with baboons, who opened a locked window, and almost came into the house.
- Rethabile (10/5): The place was peaceful and quiet. I would recommend bringing board games as there is no tv or music allowed. The animals - The views, the peace, the animals visits. Everything was just amazing Would only recommend for the towels to be washed more thoroughly otherwise no complaints
- Louis (10/5): -
- Brenda (10/5): - Beautiful attention to detail. The kitchen was nicely stocked. Ibhubesi was set up nicely for privacy so that we could sit outside, use the boma, or the pool with no one else around. It felt like a sanctuary away from the world.
- Ntiwane (5/5): Passable - QUITE GOOD PLACE
THE ENVIRONMENT No tv you have to put TV please
- Ayanda (10/5): Exceptional - Everything The bedroom doors
And clothes in the wardrobe
- Vhuthuhawe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denise (10/5): Relax and Kruger 🦓🐆🐘 - Perfect location to safari to Kruger, inside marloth park we have seen many animals (impala, kudu, warthog, zebras and baboons) some of them came also near the house: magic moments!
The supermarket is near.
The house was really well cleaned, all we need to cook was there. The pool was perfect we enjoyed after the safari.
We had beautiful moments there!
- Shannon (10/5): Amazing, the only way to put it ! - It was beautiful, calm and quiet! The location was spectacular and the host was absolutely phenomenal. She went above and beyond for us and made the experience that much better. Nothing. We had bugs however we are in the bush and that is to be expected.
- Andile (4/5): Good but could have been better - The place is beautiful. The set up is stunning as well however the place especially the kitchen is infested with cockroaches. There are cockroaches day in and day out.
- Gugu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nqobile (8/5): Very good -
- Masinga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mtebele (9/5): Superb -
- Talifhani (10/5): Loved and enjoyed my stay, the house is so beautiful… please do ensure that the bedsheets are changed for the next guest - Loves the fact we’d have animals visiting us in our villa Some of the bedsheets were not changed 🙇🏾♀️
- Nthabiseng (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful Home and Very Well Kept and With all the cutlery and crockery you'd ever need, clean fresh linen and a sparkling pool Nothing
- Rianda (10/5): We had an excellent stay as everything was comfortable and very private with great views - Prompt SMS communication with Rihanda which assisted with the key lock as well as how to get into the house. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. All bedrooms go out to the private pool. The decor was superb. We had a great relaxing, comfortable stay.
- Tebogo (8/5): Very good -
- Joy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Makopo (10/5): Exceptional 🥺. It was really one for the book, would definitely come back - Loved everything about the property. Very good for when you want to get away from the city. Loved the games and cards that were provided.
- Shahid (1/5): Very disappointing stay - Nothing They didn't give us what they showed. We were sent to another guest house due to the lack of facilities. It was not worth what we paid .
- Simamkele (10/5): chef's kiss! 😘 - Loved everything about this house, especially the air-conditioned rooms? Perfect.
Our host Rihanda? What an amazing lady! Literally everyone should make her their hosts lol. Love her and can't wait to come back.

- Mufunwa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thembisile (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (10/5): Overall, I highly recommend Ibhubesi House for anyone looking for a serene and luxurious getaway. - My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Ibhubesi House in Marloth Park at the end of July/beginning of August 2024 to celebrate my birthday, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The villa is absolutely stunning, just as shown in the photographs. It provided us with the perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. One of the highlights was the frequent visits from small antelope right outside the villa, adding to the magical atmosphere. In the evenings, we were delighted by the appearance of Bush Babies - don't forget to bring bananas for them! The Caretaker was fantastic - friendly, attentive and always ready to assist with anything we needed. I did make the mistake of arriving in a very low sedan, which made navigating the dirt roads and driveway a bit challenging. However, this was entirely my own fault. I would recommend using a high vehicle, SUV or 4x4 for easier access.
- Lethabo (6/5): Check out is too early at 9 - The property could at least get a tv
- Katrin (9/5): Superb -
- Palesa (9/5): Superb - The view outside and inside is a very peaceful place and Rihanna is always friendly and welcoming ☺️ There was no iron
- Jaco (9/5): Was absolutely unforgettable. - Location was perfect, we were central to most. Short drive or walk to look over the river, the shops and the Crocodile bridge gate. Our view of the bush was impeccable. There could be more storage in the room for longer stays. But other than that there is nothing to complain about. Brand new and everything you could want or need.
- Busisiwe (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything about the place , it's was top notch! And many thanks to Rihanda for an exceptional service.
- Richley (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, heaven on Earth❤️I highly recommend it. Peace beyond

- Palesa (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property! Loved everything about this place.
- Nooreen (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation was clean and comfortable. It was a wonderful stay There were massive cockroaches in the main bedroom.
The bathroom windows were too revealing making it quite uncomfortable for a family.
- Dulxy (10/5): Exceptional - The features of the house are so amazing & the stuff is so nice!
- Thandeka (7/5): Besides the first night, we had a great stay, the house is so beautiful and the nature. - The place is beautiful and the animals that came to visit were always welcome. I didn’t get a chance to meet our host but it was easy for us to get access to the house. My family said she was very kind and that she lived nearby if we needed anything. No air-con in the dining room but just the fan which doesn’t do justice, especially when you are in the kitchen. The backup didn’t go on after load shedding and the stove doesn’t work (not just the oven) during the sheds. The shower outside isn’t practical - the head needs to be replaced, not a single full body mirror in sight. We weren’t able to receive assistance from our host the first night during load shedding, no ESP schedule was shared the first night until it was requested the next morning. Smaller kitchen towels are recommended. Only one black plastic provided.
- Basetsana (10/5): Exceptional - It was a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing place, the pictures didn’t do it justice. Just the air conditioning was a little hot in the other rooms except the twin beds but otherwise very happy with the place.
- Magda (9/5): Superb -
- Tshwene (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (10/5): One of the best places to stay in Marloth Park for romantic escape! - Position in Marloth is perfect (on the edge), it was not my first visit to the area. You can see some animals which are not so often present in other places.
The house is simple, but modern, elegant with great swimming pool, also there is second separate bathroom so you don´t need to bother your mate in main bedroom which is having attached another one ;-)
No load shedding, solar power backup is already running!
No TV, great!!!!! Please never ever install TV or any other nuisance :-)
- Tt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verster (9/5): Superb -
- Jeanne (7/5): Amazing bushveld experience - Beautiful home The cleaning rules
- Willem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nomphumelelo (10/5): Amazing ♥️ - Atmosphere 🤞🏼 Load shedding 😞…network 😞
- Diantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (8/5): Very good - Very peaceful and a great place to go if you love nature/animals and just wanna get away from the city life. Not much to not like about this place. The pool was bit dirty, would've liked to go for a swim while I was there. But other than that it was good 👍
- Zalewski (8/5): Enjoyable - It's a new house , needs a few additional items...microwave and more packing space in the kitchen and bedrooms....but otherwise, very enjoyable
- Moskovics (10/5): Exceptional - Rihanna was a pleasure to deal with everything was great
- Audrey (9/5): Overall it was all good. - The house is beautiful we really had great time, thanks to Rihanda for taking care of us.We saw lot of animals coming to visit us which was great. The property must consider to have:
