Guest Reviews
- Andrew (10/5): - Private parking for our works van.
Next to the bungalow.
Very safe
- Faye (10/5): -
- Olivia (7/5): Would stay again but would triple check if there are extra linens for the 2 sofa beds - Glass doors are a beautiful upgrade to the property Moreso about accommodation- there were not any extra bed sheets or pillows for the sofa beds. One of our family members did not have a full sheet and blanket to sleep with. They ended up using sweaters from the car
- JoSmith1234 (9/5): Great stay and would definitely recommend! - We enjoyed our stay! Great layout, pretty house, felt very safe, kitchen had dishes/pots/cups/cutlery we needed. Nice that the owner had milk, tea & instant coffee. Spacious kitchen/living room area with sofa & TV, plus dining table to sit at. Windows/doors were very secure, temperature was easy to control inside. Lots of hot water in bathroom was very nice! Walking distance to pub & shops. Communication with owner was great - very helpful and timely responses. I would definitely stay again. A minor annoyance - outside motion-activated lights kept going off occasionally throughout the night (just needed a sleep mask and it was fine.)
- Robert (7/5): - Nice little hideaways perfect for a family trip out Was all nice and modern
- Dipika (9/5): Great bungalow but could do with a good dusting and new kettle and pan. - Good space, in good condition It was dusty. When I opened the futon for my son to sleep on -there were food crumbs in the center crease. I tried to vacuum it and the vacuum spewed out dust- filter needs to be cleaned. Kettle needs descaling - had white bits in my tea! One pan needs replacing as handle loose.
- Patricia (8/5): Served us well for two nights. - Parking . Warm and quiet .
Walking distance to town centre . Functional without any internal character .
Some crockery not clean .
- Colette (7/5): Disappointing & overpriced for the condition - Great location, pub next door serves great food & coffee shop opposite is fab for breakfast. Parking was much appreciated. In the absence of any welcome pack, the host responded promptly to our enquiry on arrival re Wi-Fi. Suited my mum & I for 2-nights. To quote my mum “it needs a ruddy good clean”. All the surfaces were either sticky or dusty, floors seemed to have not been swept / washed for a while. Bedroom furniture damaged in both rooms. Freezer contained items from previous guests. Had to wash the crockery / cutlery items before we could use what we needed to. Garden in need of weeding. Such a shame as this has the potential to be an amazing property.
- O'Flaherty (9/5): -
- Connolly (7/5): - We loved the location for visiting family, accommodation was warm, cosy and quiet, felt secure, kitchen was well equipped, overall good but could be improved The dining table had a wonky leg, The shower thermostat seemed faulty, burning hot or freezing cold.. The mattresses need to be replaced, and the oven needs to be cleaned. Overall if these issues were resolved we would give a 10/10
- Nat (9/5): -
- Elaine (7/5): Great location, but in need of a little tlc. - We were in Hitchin for a party with family. The location was perfect for our visit. The bungalow is spacious and modern and suited our needs. The furniture is a little shabby in places and it has left over bits of people's drawing material, half used packets of dried food from previous guests I assume.
It could also do with a deep clean, especially the bathroom and the bath mat in particular.
- Douglas (8/5): - Everything we needed for a one night in hitchin with friends while attending a party. Very clean and very close to town. Beds could have been more comfortable but fine for a couple of nights.
- hazel (8/5): Location and accommodation was as described and gerally very well presented. I would recommend and stay again. - It was located and advertised as described. Property had good security as it had a lockable front gate to the property. Some furniture had slight damage. The decked area is a real bonus to this accommodation, a 10 minute tidy up of the leaves and planters, and quick sweep would make it perfect.
Please ensure cleaning cloths and tea towels are indeed new/clean. Having cleaning products in a child proof cupboard would be advisable. The TV was huge, it dominated the room and blocked out the light.
- Hamilton (10/5): - Property was extremely clean house was absolutely lovely really beautiful property
- Karla (8/5): -
- Hannah (6/5): Visiting family - The bungalow was spacious however wasn't overall clean on arrival.
The garden could do with tidying up of weeds and the bed in front bedroom is so uncomfortable needs new mattress or a mattress topper. Need more duvets to accommodate the 2 sofa beds.
The bins were over flowing too.
The bungalow is lovely just needs more attention to the cleaning and sleeping situation.
Also the washer/dryer is temperamental. Doesn't spin or dry.
- Kirkman (9/5): Superb -
- Clara (10/5): A great place to stay, with plenty of space to relax in. - The living space was fantastic. Up to 4 of us stayed in the property overnight but we had other members of the family come over for meals and the space happily accommodated 7 of us for a relaxed dinner (some eating with plates on our laps). The beds and pillows weren’t the comfiest.
- Anthony (10/5): Lovely quiet place, had everything we needed to make it home away from home as a stopover for our football tour - Lovely an peaceful, really a home away from home It was a hard to find at first, but after the first time it was perfect to stay
- Nicholas (10/5): Very happy with our stay, would definitely come again. - We all like how modern the property was, the layout of the house was perfect for a group of our size. Nothing, it was amazing all round.
- Geraldine (6/5): Recommend a few chabges - Clean easy to find host was super friendly. No hanging space in bedrooms...main bedroom wardrobe full of stuff.. second bedroom needs desk and chest of drawers removed to make space for hanging space..no hooks om bak of doors for dressing gown.. if coming for wedding stay your outfit would be hard to accommodate without hanging it ... no where to hang towels in bathroom for shower.. no hand towel in bathroom ... I would also recommend removing one of the empty cupboards in the kitchen to put in a dishwasher ... would recommend for couple.... not enough room.for more than two adults comfortably too.. maybe remove the enormous shoe rack too from the entrance way ...
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Elaine (8/5): Very good - Good location. Comfortable needs parking for 2 cars really. Bedding bit dated and spare bedding looked unclean.
- Casey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Sian (10/5): Excellent - The location, parking and space. No way of making fresh coffee. Coffee machine with a few pods supplied but i couldn’t get it to work.
- White (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (9/5): Superb -
- Adeel (8/5): Wonderful - Very nice, clean and cosy house. Easier to find the location by clicking directions on the website, which takes you to the precise location on map. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (8/5): Great stay and great host - Great location and lovely place Cleanliness and bedding could improve a bit.
- Steven (9/5): Spacious, comfortable, clean and well-located. Couldn't ask for more! -
- Isobel (9/5): Great location. Comfortable stay. - Location. Modern facilities. Kitchen - crockery not enough for four and only two chairs at table (and no more in property).
- Muhammad (8/5): Recommend - Is it very clean You have to find the property specially at night time.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marysa (9/5): Superb - Lovely bungalow but difficult to find.
It was great for my disabled Dad's wheelchair.
Had everything you needed in the kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom and lounge.
Lovely small garden area and parking for 1 car.
Host was very helpful when we called him with a query.
I would stay again if I was not bringing my Dad. It does not have anything else apart from space for people who are less mobile.
Low beds, low toilet and not a suitable shower.
Some better mugs would be good as only 2 small ones and we had to use 2 soup bowls as there was 4 of us!
Due to the pub being very close we had difficulty getting to sleep, so just be aware although it was a Friday night.
I think directions would be better if it named the road you need to be on as it's not the road the address is, it's behind.
- Sonali (10/5): Awesome stay at a comfortable bungalow - It was conveniently located, modern and clean with an amazing and helpful host. Had an outdoor bbq that the family loved. Nothing to dislike
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
