Bare in mind that the first time you stay you will have to pay a £50 deposit , which they return after couple of days but it's not mentioned when you book. The self check in and out was very easy.
• Dama (10/5): Lovely stay with amazing showers, but be aware of the deposit policy - I had a lovely two-night stay at Bessemer. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very polite and responsive. However, there are some specific house rules regarding check-in and deposits that you should know before you book. THE PROS: 1. Amazing Shower: Even though mine was outside the room (but private/specific to me), the water pressure was incredible—offering a great experience like being a fish in the sea! 2. Great Location: Very close to the City Centre, Centertainment, and Meadowhall. 3. Facilities: Plenty of parking and a big bonus having access to a kitchen and washing machine. 4. Comfort: The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite large. THE CONS: 1. Deposit Policy: You have to pay a £50 refundable deposit before they send the door codes. I feel this should only apply to long stays, not short ones. 2. Refund Wait Time: It takes 2 to 5 working days to get your deposit back, which is a major inconvenience if you are on a tight budget. IMPORTANT TIP: Read your booking messages carefully! You won’t get the front door or key box codes until the deposit is sorted and you've read the instructions.
• Pearse (1/5): - This was the filthiest dump I've ever been so unlucky to find. A charity shop bed collapsed and we had nowhere to sleep for 2 nights and then instead of compensating us for robbing us for 2 nights we didn't get they want us to pay 40 quid for their charity shop bed. Staff are all compulsive liars and trouble makers. One of the taxi driver's who dropped us off there thought it was a derelict building. You'd have to see it to believe it. The filthiest hell hole we ever stayed in. The day we arrived there was empty beer can's and bottles at the front doors of this hell hole and 5 days later they were all still there. If you are doing a survey trying to find the worst place's to stay in Britain then this is definitely the place for you. What an absolute kip. You wouldn't leave my dogs there. 1 is not the proper score for this dump but a special score of -0 should be allowed to submit. A hell hole if there was ever 1. That we were robbed injured and subjected to one of the filthiest kips on planet earth

• Perform Engineering Services (9/5): - It’s an amazing place to stay. The room was well equipped spacious and ventilated. I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely choose it every time I visit Sheffield
• Debs (1/5): Would not recommend. - We had a genuinely stressful and chaotic experience and would not stay here again. We had booked two rooms for a Saturday night. At midday on the day of arrival, the hotel called to confirm we were still coming, which we confirmed — we were already en route and expected to arrive around check-in time. However, on arrival at 3pm, one of the rooms had been double-booked. This is a self check-in property, and despite repeated attempts to contact the provided emergency number, there was no answer. The cleaner on site was also trying to contact management and couldn’t get through. We also attempted to call the number that had contacted us earlier that day — again, no response. Booking.com also could not contact the hotel. While this was happening, another couple arrived who had not been sent check-in details at all, and were being told their booking didn’t exist, despite having confirmation and payment, so our experience was not unique. After around an hour, the situation was eventually resolved and an alternative room was provided. We thought this was the end of the issue, but later that evening — while my husband was at a concert and unreachable — I received a notification that the hotel intended to cancel the booking as they “could not accommodate it,” which was extremely concerning given he was already checked in with belongings in the room. This was again sorted out. The location is also worth noting — it is in a very isolated industrial estate, poorly signposted and not somewhere that feels particularly safe, especially given the lack of on-site staff and the difficulty contacting anyone if something goes wrong. The hotel did follow up afterwards and apologise (and offered a discount should we wish to stay again). However, the overall experience fell well below an acceptable standard. This was not a minor issue — it was a complete breakdown in booking management, communication, and basic customer support. We would not return.

• Daniel (8/5): good priced place to stay if attending an event in sheffield. - customer service is very good and quick to respond, check in process very efficient. one of the codes was wrong but after ringing them they provided the correct one on the call. rooms were a good size and it had a kitchen with pool table etc. good location to city center and don valley bowl, uber prices were around £6 which was great. detail to cleaning could be better, lots of cob webs in kitchen. A fan in the room would of been nice as it was very hot weekend when i stayed.

The bed wasn't very comfy. Only one small towel. Room was clean but it didn't feel clean. Like probably not deep cleaned.

• Muhammad (10/5): I had a great experience with Bessemer Rooms and recommend everyone to consider them for a stay. - I genuinely enjoyed my stay at Bessemer Rooms and the room was really nice and cozy. The management staff was very friendly and responsive. I forgot my jacket in the room and I contacted the helpline. They informed me that they found the jacket. They said that there is no staff on site in the evening but I had to leave for another city on the same day so they guided me about the location of the jacket over a call. I’m very thankful to the staff for their support. The toilets were shared and a bit small in size. It would have been even better if they were a bit bigger.

• Afshah (5/5): Decent but could be soooo much better with easy improvements. - The building it self is nice but it needs a better clean. And maintained better. My actual room was perfectly fine, and warm and clean :) Love the self servicing check it, really efficient and cool, and practical. Customer service was good I needed a late check out and the customer service was helpful and flexible. The shared bathrooms need a better deep clean. I was getting ready for a wedding yet there was no mirror in the room. It was really really inconvenient for me to get ready. And delayed my time, and very inconvenient having to used either the shared bathroom or the main mirror in the lobby. Shared kitchen from my room was just 2 rooms down and it was bit noisy. (I stayed on ground floor) Not too keen on the deposit system but It's fair if anything gets damaged etc.
