• Guest (8/5): We had a very enjoyable stay & any possible "problems" were swiftly rectified by the host. - A lovely little space that had all the necessary equipment needed. Nice braai area that was undercover and user friendly. Breakfast bar was also great to be used as a countertop or general gathering. Misrepresented on booking.com. The entire holiday home of 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms is not available unless specifically requested. The cottage consists of 2 bedrooms with an additional 2 bedrooms that sleep 2 people each. Should you require 4 bedrooms for 4 different people (not sharing) then you need to specifically request this as you do not get the whole house with all 4 rooms. Payment is per person and not for the entire holiday home. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms are not directly attached to the cottage and could have a kettle or small fridge in them.

• Edward (10/5): Lovely - We loved our stay at Gretna Cottage. Very friendly staff. The place is very nice, quiet and lovely environment. A lot of parking. We will definitely stay thete again and I really recommend this place.
• Bentz (8/5): It was really nice and comfortable. We will make use of it again. - The pool was awesome. Nice and quiet area. Walking distance from town. Aircon in all rooms. We would have loved access to Wifi. The stupid matches did not work.

• Priscilla (8/5): Very good - Had a nice pool which we didn’t use as were not sure if allowed. Property located in quite area. Would have been nice to be informed that the whole house was for our use. We learned on check out day that we stayed in kitchen quarters as we thought main house was occupied by others eg. property owner.
• Nikki (2/5): Very poor - The view and location. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool. This cottage was double booked and after we booked and paid, we called up and told that the owner had family there on holiday and the cottage wasn't available We opted for the recommended alternate accommodation and were promised the world, but the place was not what was described :-( The bedding had a horrible damp smell. En-suite shower was blocked with hair. Balcony had no light and we were told that it would be changed the next morning and make use of the portable loadshedding light instead. The light was never replaced during our stay. We were also told that the best thing about the complex was that we would not be affected by loadshedding! Whilst I was preparing dinner in the oven, loadshedding kicked in. Contacted Joey and she said it was loadshedding and the generators in the complex was for water! She mentioned that I should use the 1 plate gas stove top that was provided!! I'm not happy that we were mis-informed and had a hostess that was absent during our stay. We've been coming to St Lucia for the last 13 years and this was the poorest experience ever! Water ran down the walls when it rained. Caretaker came in, but nothing after that. We were also told that there was a daily cleaning service - another lie! Will never return to this place. The Bridge 47

Will never recommend this place to anyone cos of the hostess mainly. - Host was unprofessional, unfriendly, condescending and never paid attention to whether we were ok during the power and water cut. We didnt have water and electricity throughout the stay. Even the phone network was down in the whole town. Even though it wasnt just this house, the issue was the hostess. The hostess had an attitude with me by saying "you want me to bring a jojo tank for me" and referred to me as "my friend" with a condescending attitude. I have messages from her to prove this. We moved to another place on the second day cos it was unbearable staying there. We were even locked in overnight cos the gate motor battery died and she never bothered to check on this before the night. Lacked politeness and empathy. Very rude over the phone and via WhatsApp. The house stinks with mothballs. Full of cockroaches also. Doom can was almost empty. Never bothered to complain any further whilst there cos her attitude was terrible!
