• Paul (10/5): Ein gelungener Aufenthalt in Kandy - Die Unterkunft ist etwas ruhiger gelegen, aber zentral genug, um zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Kandy zügig mit dem TukTuk zu kommen. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals. Während unseres Aufenthaltes begleitete uns Sampath - er fuhr uns auch mit dem TukTuk zu den Attraktionen und stand für alle Fragen zur Verfügung. Für einen Rundtrip durch Kandy können wir nur wärmstens empfehlen, diesen mit Sampath zu unternehmen.

The rooms are beautifully furnished, and the location is excellent – very quiet, yet still close to the city. The view is absolutely phenomenal. The host is incredibly kind and helpful. He even drives a tuk-tuk himself and offers very fair prices. He also gives great tips and recommendations for the area. He arranged a driver for us as well, and it turned out to be one of the best drivers we had during our trip. Overall, we were completely satisfied with our stay. Nothing

• Marilena (1/5): State alla larga! - Niente Esperienza pessima che non augurerei a nessuno. A parte le camere poste nel sottoscala, la cosa inaccettabile è che sono sporche (vedere swiffer che ho utilizzato per pulire testata del letto, comodini, ecc.......). Sopra la porta di ingresso c'è una finestra dalla quale entra SEMPRE la luce del corridoio, non essendoci nessuna tapparella. Ma la cosa più incredibile è la finestra principale con la parte superiore SENZA VETRO!!! Ma semplicemente con un telo di nylon a sostituzione. Quindi potete immaginare il rumore che arrivava dalla strada, il caldo e gli animali che entrano. Nessuno dello staff ci ha fatto notare questo problema, anzi quando gli è stato fatto notare ci hanno detto che tutti soggiornano così. Dopo varie discussioni ci hanno proposto un cambio camera, peccato che la camera che ci hanno proposto era occupata da altra gente! All'interno valigie e oggetti personali da ogni parte. Roba da matti! Se potete state alla larga da questo hotel.

• Laura (8/5): Perfecto para una noche - Habitación grande y bonita. Cama muy cómoda, fue el hotel donde mejor dormimos en sri lanka Hotel dormitorio, solo lo usamos para dormir una noche. Es muy mono pero no tiene servicios ni espacios comunes, solo el salon del desayuno y las cuatro habitaciones. Está muy lejos del centro sobre una colina para ir a pie. No hablaban bien el inglés.

• Eva (7/5): Kandy experience - The location and accomodation was really nice. The staff was overall very frienldy and helpful. The rooms were big and comfortable. I would go there again but there is on CON that Felt unnecessary. When asked for a tuktuk to railway station (8min ride, on PickMe app the cost was just bellow 200 rupees) they Charged 600 rupees. That just Felt like too much and unnecessary. We felt sort of scammed, but to be fair it was the only con i can list.

• Jane (8/5): A small guesthouse in a quiet area of town . - Located in a quiet area of town, but within easy reach of the city centre. There are a number of sitting areas for use by guests. The rooms are spacious and the bed comfortable. The staff are helpful - arranging for some washing to be done in an "outside" laundry. Very good value for money.
• Jane (9/5): An excellent value small guest house. - Location is out of town, but just a short tuk tuk ride away, so you get the peace and quiet with easy access to shops and attractions. The staff dealt with a late arrival and a very early departure, including providing a packed breakfast.

• Athena (7/5): A pleasant stay. - Great views across the valley. The property is about 1-2km out of town, but it's a walkable distance, even for seniors like us. Our host Joseph was helpful and friendly. He arranged a local tuktuk driver (friend) to transport us around Kandy, which was very convenient for us to see the 'tooth temple' and other places of interest. Everything was clean-ish. Towels and bed linen were clean, but well worn. The bed was large and comfortable. Wifi was available but the signal was very weak. There was a good breakfast included in the price, which was quite reasonable. Cash payment only - no credit card facilities at our time of stay. The wifi signal was non-existent in our room - we had to climb 2 flights of stairs and sit in the foyer to access internet.

Breakfast was omlete, toast and sausages +/- tea coffee and water. I liked the bedroom view also. It's a bit far from the centre BUT that means less noise, so that was a bonus. The bedside lamps didn't plug in, but they were nice decoration :)

The host is friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more pleasant. The location is a bit inconvenient, as it’s not easy to reach on foot, especially since it’s situated on a hill. Because of this, taking a taxi or tuk-tuk is necessary.
• Regan (7/5): Overall good stay - Great staff, nice and friendly. I managed to get a WhatsApp number from one of the workers and whenever I needed help, he replied very quickly. He offered me a Tuktuk drive to the Kandy railway station and even accommodated an early breakfast before my checkout. They rejected a couple of my US Dollars because they had a red mark on. I googled this and it is legal tender and I was a little disappointed that they did not accept.

Don’t let this stop you, as you can easily take a tuk-tuk for just four minutes to the center for less than a euro. The location was central but really it was the staff that made my stay here and made me feel at home. :) The bed was very comfortable. The rooms could use some maintenance and just a general better eye for cleaning details. The staff were so accommodating that they did an extra clean of my bathroom but it could use a new coat of paint.

The location of the Chariot Square did not meet my expectations. The bedroom and bathroom were not correctly cleaned. The small towel in front of the basin for handwashing was dirty, despite my request for its removal, which was not addressed. The bedroom lacked the kettle, cups, tea and coffee as previously indicated. We needed to request all of that from them. The bedroom window was inoperable.

The breakfasts were delicious, the views amazing, and the bed was so comfy and the room was very well air conditioned! Everything was finished to a very high standard. Definitely recommend it!
• Marie (7/5): Not so private room - We had a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains from our room. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. The room was not closed off. There is a big gap above the door as a design element. This means that you can hear everything and be heard by everyone having breakfast. In the night the light from the lobby area shines through as well. The faucet was loose in the bathroom so you had to use two hands to open the tap.

We appreciated this fact even more at our next stays Suresh looked after us really well He made us tea and coffee when we returned from our outing The room design is a little bit strange as there was a lattice on top of the door and windows letting the mosquitoes in and letting the cool air out They did cover it with a bit of plastic when we got there to stop mosquitoes from coming in and the next day they covered it with the thin insulation material so that worked for us while we were there. They did say that the glass had been ordered The breakfast is made to order but since the kitchen was right there, they let us make our own eggs which was really nice of them It looks like a newly built property The room we were in wasn't large and the bed was a regular double bed size and not much in the way of storage but we were staying for only two days so it was OK The view was to die for and we had to tear ourselves away from it every day and when we were leaving at the end Small room and not enough storage either Bed is quite small so very uncomfortable :( The room window opens to the balcony which is shared so no privacy if you open the window. If the balcony is blocked coming up to the room front then the problem can be solved as only one room at ground level uses that balcony area and the rest is for those having breakfast which would give privacy to this room The rest of the room are one floor down
• Ana (9/5): Good stay in Kandy - It was a very pleasant stay at this hotel. We liked the room size, the bed was comfortable and we had one of the best showers during our trip with a lot of hot water. The breakfast was good. The access road is easy and you have a place to park for 1-2 cars. The way of serving the breakfast seemed a little bit strange for me. They tried to do an open buffet with couple of breakfast options, yet some dishes were served personally. This didn't affect our stay, just for owners to think about this.

Nice location, you get the view of the city and it’s still quiet because it’s away from the busy city center. We also had a balcony (superior room) so that was great. One of the nicest bathrooms and rooms we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. There were hair on the floor and the floor in the room wasn’t cleaned properly, but that’s just a little thing.
