Guest Reviews
- Mohammed (8/5): Belle maison pratique bon rapport qualité-prix - La maison complète. Petite cour devant la 🏠. Facile de se garer. Équipée.
Rapport qualité-prix parfait. Rue calme Chaudière tombe souvent en panne (2 fois en 2 jours). Grand lit à changer
- Ben (8/5): Exactly what it says on the tin. -
- Mark (3/5): Poor wouldn’t recommend - Downstairs was nice Upstairs both beds falling apart, dripping tap which kitchen roll was laid everywhere to soak up , blinds wrecked, back door locked with no key and not near city centre, couldn’t work heating!
- Min (10/5): -
- Natalie (7/5): -
- Melanie (10/5): Clean comfortable, excellent value - Owner was lovely to deal with, we had a few questions and he answered immediately and was clear in his communication. House was clean, comfortable and warm, kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots, etc for the 5 of us. Neighbourhood was quiet and pleasant and loads of food delivery options.
- natalie (4/5): Not good - Nothing Nothing welcoming, not even tea , coffee, bathroom was run down , kitchen roll on the back of toilet to hide the mold and damage, no comfort to sit and relax, the chair look like someone had been sick on it , had I not only been there for one night I would have looked for something else
- Elliot (10/5): -
- ELMA (6/5): It’s okey - The location is quiet, private parking , overall cleanliness is okey. The toilet floor is dirty and needs to be renovated or redone. The heating worked out okey for a while but after 2 people had shower, no hot water anymore.
The bucket for cleaning was left in the kitchen and it was so dirty.

- Maria (10/5): -
- Phoebe (1/5): Do not stay here - do not give these people money - Nothing Firstly the lock to the front door was insanely hard to get into. the backdoor was already unlocked when we arrived, the couch was unsteady and uncomfortable. the Tv didnt work, heating didnt work, kitchen appliances were dirty. tried to COLD shower (because there is no hot water) however the ceiling downstairs started leaking as well. bedroom beds squeeked with every breath you made and weird smell through the whole house.
- Lesley (3/5): Avoid - The sofa was nice , area was quiet The host didn't reply to my message until 5 minutes before we arrived, the back garden was full of rubbish and cigarette butt's no WiFi and a terrible tv the hardly worked and the beds were so old uncomfortable and noisy we got no sleep and left at 6 in the morning
- Abiola (8/5): Nice - The environment and location Nothing
- Marcela (4/5): - Que estuviera disponible El lugar decepciona.
- Uwandi (1/5): Don’t ever lodge here. No WiFi? No good heating ,bad bed furniture - Nothing works. No heating No WiFi,host very arrogant.total
Disgrace
- Fred (1/5): Found drugs in kitchen draw and was refused refund from owner - Not one thing Found drugs in kitchen draw when looking for a pan to cook my tea, no towels so couldn’t get dry after shower, was left really in a scruffy mess. No refund given after drugs were found in draw. AVOID AT ALL COST !!! Have attached photos below of proof and messages with owner
- Baxter (10/5): -
- Md Anamul (5/5): -
- Dean (1/5): Thief - Rats or mice all over the property
- Chris (10/5): Great stay at a fantastic house easy check in and everything you need - Clean tidy and great location
- Niall (1/5): -
- Geoffrey (8/5): Low cost, good value. Don’t expect the same standard as a five-star hotel; you’re not paying for it at this price. Off s - Low cost, good value. Off street parking in front of the house; only had to move five metres to get my luggage from car boot to living room. 500 metres from shops (supermarket, butcher, alcohol shop). No instructions provided on how to operate central heating nor hot-water system.
- Clyde (1/5): took my money and ran - there was nothing to like about it, seeing as i couldnt stay i never saw the 'minimum check in age is 25' seeing as its so well hidden, so when i contacted the hosts it took DAYS to respond and they were very stubborn and unhelpful. then i went to booking.com support to see if i could get a refund, and the host never replied to them, so i messaged the host and they started ignoring me and ran off with my £140. complete waste of money, complete waste of time to try contact the hosts. dont stay here if you're expecting atleast the bare minimum on the customer service end, cause they cant even provide that.
- Victor (7/5): -
- Emma duncan (10/5): - Very welcoming
- Marianna (7/5): Adequate for the money paid but dont have high expectations. - The place was cheap. For 5 of us, 60e a night, it was way below the benchnark for Belfast. For a one night stay it was ok. The place have a potential to be very good, if some work and simple DIY is put in, I am surprised that after all the previous reviews the owner just doesnt invest a bit to bring it to a better standard, so he can actually charge more.
I would stay again if in Belfast for 1 night. Wouldnt probably stay longer.
The place was mostly clean, heating worked well (except the radiator in bathroom, which never warmed up), we could park in the driveway. The house is in a bit of disrepair. There was signs of mold at places, a piece of wood (rotten) fell of the kitchen wall, the oven tray was dirty and no sponge to clean it. Some mauld around the shower.
Not suffiecent amount of cups in the kitchen, no deep soup bowls, cutlery not very clean. One of the beds upstairs was so squeky it was waking us up.
We got house keys left in the lock but my husband had to use force to actually lock the door (I couldnt get them to lock at all).
- Odile Armelle (7/5): Nicht schlecht - Ausstattung in Wohnzimmer und in der Küche Bettwäsche nicht frisch, Haare und künstliche Wimpern im Bett , Fehlende Reparaturen ( Bad und Türen )
- Harwood (8/5): No hot water - Spacious, facilities House cold but managed to get heating on but couldn't get hot water to shower.
- Ceri-Anne (10/5): Perfect host! Lovely, warm, comfortable stay for a great price. - The host was very accommodating! I originally thought I would have to park at the property before the check-in time and was told this was absolutely fine which was great. We didn’t end up having to do that, as I decided to be a designated driver, so we were unsure when we would be arriving but the host was very very good and told us to just take our time and enjoy our evening. When we arrived at the property the host had the heating on, the lights on, and the beds sitting lovely which felt so homey to arrive back to after a cold night in Belfast. I was able to park my car on the drive and close the gate to secure it in which was great to have it right at the door! The house was exactly what we needed and it felt like a very safe area. There’s even a wee shop down the road we were able to get some milk from for tea, which was great. I would highly recommend anyone stay here if you want a home away from home vibe. I can’t thank the host enough for making the house so lovely and cozy to come back to! I would highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in Belfast.
- Pat (10/5): - Good location
- Colleen (7/5): Ok at a pinch bit photos aren’t up to date - Off road parking is very good to have No tea towel in kitchen
Heating was not turned on and no instructions on how to do this
Door very hard to lock
TV would not work to commence with
Very outdated and needs some repairs done
Kettle lid fell off when I went to add water
- Tony (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at this house! The place was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was friendly and responsive, making check-in and communication easy. The location was perfect—close to everything yet quiet and peaceful. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
- NIKOLAS POULAKIS (10/5): - Everything was perfect, Mr Leo was very kind and helpfull... Excelent location Nothing to complain..
- CHABI (5/5): The property needs better upkeep. Heating didn’t work well and stopped on the last day. Kitchen was missing basics (knif - Location Many things
- Mina (2/5): - There was no heating in the property.
- Tracy (1/5): - Full address was not given until we arrived in Belfast, when checking and ordering a taxi who would not take us to that area,we were advised by a number of people who know the area well that this area was unsafe for us to stay..I contacted John who appeared very nice and explained the situation and that we needed to find other accommodation I asked if he could refund half of what we paid but got no reply to that. We had to stay with friends and spend our stay in different houses which made our stay very expensive as we had to get taxis to meet up. No omment
- Gavin (4/5): -
- Jay (10/5): -
- mandy (6/5): - Clean and parking. Tv did not work. No light bulbs in bedside table. No hand towel.
- Doherty (10/5): Good - Really good location, house was very clean, lovely interior Nothing bad to say :)
- Praveen Kumar (1/5): I’m still alive and healthy. Stay away if you can - Just the photos on Booking.com and hot water 1. 1/3 roll of toilet paper. 2. No lights in hallway or living room. No internet. Kitchen has no utensils. Two days of constant sound of someone else in the house, lucky us it was a friendly rat which the host owns. I left the snickers pack where the pet chewed a bit. Unforgettable stay. If someone wish to stay after reading this, may god bless them good health
- joe (8/5): - Nice house perfect for our family holiday. No toilet paper or anything so just come prepared. But it was a brilliant place to stay and eazy to get to city.
- Mubashar (8/5): Very good -
- Ramesh (1/5): Bad - Nothing Everything.... Cleanliness comfort no facilities TV broken no WiFi very uncomfortable beds... Pests.... Dirty... Worst experience.
- Norbert (1/5): Really cheap - explains the condition of the house - The owner was nice and helpful mould in the kitchen and bathrooms, no wifi, no functional TV, no hairdryer, no toilet paper, no soap, barely any cups and glasses, beds were loud and uncomfortable, the shower would flood the entire bathroom, plug socket was burnt, no lightbulbs in living room or bedside lamp, mouse or some animal in the loft upstairs
- O'shea (7/5): Was pleased with everything -
- Tijani (10/5): Will recommend to friends and family that need short stay, it worth it - I love everything about the property
- Sabu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (9/5): Exactly as it said on the tin ! Everything we needed for a short stay. Great communication from host - Everything we needed Nothing
- Kashif (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is awesome
- Kashif (10/5): Exceptional - It’s very clean
- Trevor (7/5): Good - Location, driveway parking, very quite. Very easy communication with owner who was very polite and helpful. Would book again if the need arises. Few light bulbs not working or missing, not great hot water. No instructions left in the house on how to put the heating on. However instant answer from the owner when contacted by text
- Sue (5/5): Ok for one night - Easy to find and parking on drive. Clean and comfortable. There were 4 of us but only 3 dinner plates, 3 mugs, 3 spoons, no glasses at all, no cooking dishes, only one saucepan and a frying pan. No toaster. Sofa bed was broken. Lights in lounge didn’t work, no bulb in bedside lamp. No WiFi.
- Olamide (7/5): Good -
- James (3/5): Poor -
- Suliman (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and perfect
- Mahesh (3/5): Disappointing house, try avoiding. - As soon as we entered the property, it didn't feel appalling. Rusted radiators, no basic facilities such as towels, hand wash, no glasses to drink water, not even a toaster. The house was not clean, and the carpets were dirty. Even the hot water water was not working. When I complained, then a gentleman came with a few towels and a handwash. The backyard was full of cigarettes, and the garden was like a jungle. My kids ask to go to another place. I even tried requesting to cancel, but the host rejected. So I had to stay there. I had one of the bad experiences.
- Sam (1/5): Bad - Told me on the day of checking in that I can’t because I’m not 25 and have had no contact from them since horrible
- Udoh (10/5): It was a nice experience - Spacious, neat and beautiful
- Lucas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Yuhan (10/5): I enjoyed the night in this lovely house, I will recommend my friends to book this house if they come to Belfast. - The decoration and the bedroom, the landlord is very nice
- Flora (8/5): Very good - The beds were very comfortable. Parking was secure Lack of utensils in the kitchen. Smell of cooking when walk in. Not very clean could do with some painting done. Very few lights working. Heating didn't heat radiators
- Prasanth (7/5): Good -
- Maurizio (3/5): Not my cup of tea (at all) ! - Honestly only the total amount paid and the position of the property. This house is asking for an urgent and total renovation. Right now, it is not able/capable to host guests.
- Colleen (10/5): Couldn't ask for much more! - Great wee house for a weekend away or just a one night stay! We choose to stay here everytime we come to belfast and the hosts never let us down. Great location great parking!
- Ayeshika (8/5): Very good -
- Hayley (10/5): Extremely accommodating - I booked last minute, For check In within half an hour as the accommodation we had booked was fraudulent, Our event was starting at 3 and we were stuck in belfast with no accommodation...The host was extremely accommodation in every aspect.. I communicated with the host via text just to explain the situation and what was going on.. The host was sympathetic, and explained He would get the house ready... The house was ready in no time, Like less than 30 minutes!! When we arrived u could tell it had just been cleaned, the floors were wet, Beds freshly made, Lovely clean fresh smell the moment you walked through the door, Place was sparkling! Just Overall a really pleasant experience compared to what we had been dealing with all morning.. Would defo stay here again for our future belfast trips! Nothing
- Bozhidar (2/5): Dont bother - There were less sheets provided than what we reserved for. The place is perfect for a friend group on a budget that doesnt expect to spend alot of time at the place. When we were there all the other comment here were valid and the place isnt quite nice as it seems. Rust, broken corners, dirt, white spots and it was abvious it wasnt cleaned good before us.
The worst part was there werent enough sheets provided, after contacting the owners we were promised a fix, but as you could guess this wasnt the case
If this wasnt the case this review wouldnt be present now.
Better avoid booking here :)
- Alison (1/5): .. - Bed was comfortable. Living room was nice No glasses. Cupboards were bare apart from a few mugs and straws. Cutlery, there was one fork. It was booked very last minute but it wasn't what we expected for a booking.com property
- Karthik (4/5): Disappointing - Perfect location Cleanliness
- Antony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cliodhna (8/5): Very good -
- Elaine (7/5): Decent, no frills had what we needed - Location was good. It was value for money. Beds were comfy Could maybe have a few more amenities like a hair dryer I brought my own but luggage space was tight, so could be better if it was provided
- Kenny (4/5): Disappointing -
- Shane (1/5): Had stayed before and it was great unfortunately the second stay wasn’t so good - Location Had to leave the property due to the ceiling collapsing on night of the stay
- Terry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Humayoun (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lucile29bzh (2/5): Dirty and even unhealthy. Lanlord just duck out of it all. - The location : close to town by bus and close to an esay way out to go and visit the surroudings. The private car park. Bus close by to go to town. We've had to clean upon arrival. Mold in the kitchen all along the working space. Kitchen poorly equiped (we were 2) : 1 fork,1 glass, 1 spoon, 1 sauce pan just big enough to boil 2 cups of water for tea, no chopping bord, no tea towel. Microwave really dirty and rusting. The oven was a disgrace : hasn't been cleaned for a long time. Fridge dirty as well. Sticky dining table. Mold all over the bathroom curtain. Shower leaking. Bed in 1 room unusable (Mattress way too crushed and creaking wind chest at any move). Leaking in the ceiling of the leaving room. Had to place a bucket to retreive the water. Heating went off for 2 days including the day we left : no hot water. I think the worst is the landlord to whom I have sent SMS and tried to call but he would not pick up. Did nothing about the missing crockery, nothing about the leaking.
- Mustafa (1/5): Bad - The area was good. Close to shops and silent street. The property should be more clear. Everything was old. When you entered the house there was a bad smells like no air. No wifi. We were 4 people there was only 2 towels and they were smelling bad. There is no hand soap in the bathroom. And the most important thing is the boiler wasn’t working the radiators was cold. We slept in really cold house with 2 kids. The beds wasn’t comfortable because they were old the noises coming from beds.
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (3/5): Poor - It was relatively close to the places we wanted to visit, quiet neighborhood and parking. There was no toilet paper, no hand soap in the bathroom, and even though he knew there were 4 of us, only had 2 towels. 1 in each room. During our stay, it was not worth the money.
- Ma (9/5): Superb -
- Jemma (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (8/5): Property is great for a night out in the town and we’ll book again if needed. Staff great and easy to work with. Proper - The location was brilliant, close to a shop and a cracker chipper. John was super friendly and accommodating. Beds were comfy and property was presented well Property was a lil hard to find but it was night time so that didn’t help. Once found it was grand
- Agnes (1/5): It was a disaster - Absolutely nothing There was no one to greet us. There was no food left for us. There was no heat. There was no extra bedding. There were no conviences nearby. No Wi-Fi.
- Alisha (7/5): Good -
- Taylor (3/5): Lack luster. - It was cheap. Nothing in the house, to include kitchen accessories, a stand up shower, extra pillows or blankets, no wifi, fridge either melted or froze the food
- Wanda (1/5): Bad - Only the price but due to mold in the house not worth the price either. So I guess I liked NOTHING Black mold in the cabinets and on the shades. No toilet paper or paper towels. Shower head laying in the tub because the wall mount was missing. Almost rolled off the bed twice because it swags to the outside. Has washer but no way to dry clothes, no dryer or hanging rack. Tacks or nails on the steps holding the carpet in place. Do not go barefoot. Lights in the bedroom does not work. No light bulb in the staircase area. Plug has had a electric burn out. Heating elements are rusted and just looks bad. Slapping a coat of paint on walls does not hide the mold and damage to sheetrock. I would stay clear of this place. Very busy street so lots of noise.
- Walker (9/5): Nice house - House was nicely decorated downstairs, there was a kettle, cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, sitting room had a sofa bed with sheets and duvet and pillows, upstairs was grand 1 big bedroom, I box room, a bathroom with bath and shower and toilet, we were provided with clean towels
The neighbours were so friendly and even helped us with a lift when we were stuck House was a little cold, could do with leaving a roll of toilet paper for guests but all in all its a great house in a great location
- Jan (7/5): Good -
- Fleming (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grzegorz (6/5): Pleasant - Good communication with the owner. Price (£99/night), location and parking place makes it a good spot. We liked the big table in the living room and our bedroom. If you tight on budget and need a short stay during your trip you may consider it as an option. However remember, the scores between 8-10 are definetally overrated. Walls have been painted and new carpet laid but it doesn't change the fact it is an old house which requires a more thorough renovation. I cannot tell it was dirty but also it was not clean. The kitchen is there but you won't find there too much of cluttery or dishes - only basics allowing you to heat up your food, put it on a plate and eat it. Freezer was dirty and leaking. I'm ok without basics like salt, sugar etc, but dishwashing liquid would be nice to have. Just don't understand why some people rated it as 10 point accommodation.
- Kevin (8/5): No frills accommodation, clean, comfortable and with off street parking. - The bed was really comfortable. No WIFI
- Marie (10/5): Was perfect for what we needed as it was just just a quick over night stay - Heating would have been great the house was cold as heating didn’t work and no WiFi
