• Greyhound21 (10/5): A very special place - the only downside was leaving. - Honestly it's hard to know where to start with this review. Quaker Cottage is absolutely one of the best and most memorable places we have ever stayed. So the basics - it was clean, comfortable, warm (we arrived in the rain on a chilly afternoon in March) and the location was stunning with unlimited parking right by the cottage. Kate was flexible with our check in time and was on hand to greet us on arrival and show us around. All the facilities at the cottage exceeded our expectations - great wifi, comfortable beds, generous welcome pack, amazing views, a cosy fireplace, lovely outdoor area and a well equipped kitchen. Nothing was too much trouble, and Kate was always available to respond to any questions or requests we had. The location itself felt very safe and was blissfully quiet. But what made this stay so special was Kate herself. She happily gave us a full guided tour and introduced us to all of the animals on the property, and made it clear we were welcome to wander around. She was bottle feeding a lamb while we were there and was endlessly patient with our questions, and always stopped for a chat when she saw my daughter at the window watching her take the animals to the fields. Turning up on the cottage doorstep caring her lamb just made our day (year!?) Staying here was like staying with a family member (that you really like). This is a very special place and we will definitely be back. Thank you Kate. Nothing could have been better - our stay was perfect.

• Stuart (10/5): The Perfect Private Luxury Rural Getaway ! - Kate met us upon arrival after opening the private electric gate & was a lovely welcoming person that couldn’t do enough for us. There was a nice welcome package & it’s definitely the best place We’ve stayed at in the UK. The weather wasn’t good the whole time we were there so luckily we couldn’t have asked for a better place to be with the log fire and beautiful views & with the lovely Painswick village only a 15 minute walk straight out the cottage on the footpath opposite. The Oak pub is a great welcoming place for great food & drinks. Quaker Cottage is extremely well equipped and immaculately clean, very homely with very comfortable bed & sofa, certainly no expense spared all with top quality stuff. It is on absolutely huge privately owned land in the middle of the Cotswolds so a dream location with a lot of Quaker history & burial ground nearby. We didn’t want to leave Quaker Cottage and will definitely be back in the summer months. Do not hesitate to stay here! Nothing to not like. It was perfect !

Kate was extremely kind & helpful, she had left a lovely welcome package & had decorated with a Xmas tree which really added to our stay along with the cosy wood burner fire. Fresh flowers picked from own allotment. Would be useful to have en suite or a second bathroom , but was not a problem . Ideally need a lock on the bathroom door and a less stubborn front door lock .

Er ontbreekt helemaal niets. Wasmachine, droger, oven, magnetron, open haard. Eigenaar Kate super vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. Geen idee. Alles was top.

• Rosie (10/5): A beautiful little cottage, with countryside views ❤️ - This is a really special place! We loved the location, the host Kate was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Everything felt so clean, new and good quality. The outdoor space overlooking the countryside and the sheep was so relaxing! We had a 1.5 year old with us and he could roam safely between the house and the outdoor space which was a dream. It’s been really well decorated, the kitchen is so functional we only ate out once because we loved cooking in there so much! A lot of thought and effort has been put into making this the perfect spot for a countryside break… we didn’t want to leave! Nothing… everything was beautiful.

• L (10/5): Enorme fijne plek!!! - Het huis was liefdevol ingericht en verzorgd, dat merkte je aan alles! Alles om de gasten naar de zin te maken. Veel aanwezig zoals peper, zout, olie, koffie etc maar ook badkamerspulletjes. Ook alle keukenspullen die je maar nodig kan hebben, echt compleet. Heerlijke bedden, zeker van de kamer aan de achterkant was het matras lekker stevig. De tuin was ook fijn, net als de ruimte van de farm en de leuke dieren. Kate was een hele fijne gastvrouw. Leuke wandeling naar painswick en lekker tussen de locals gegeten bij the Oak. Eigenlijk niets te klagen, als ik één ding zou noemen zou het een bbq zijn, maar ach, dat is extra en natuurlijk geen noodzaak.
• Marije (10/5): Beat stay of our trip - Everything! There was nothing we didn’t like. It’s even more beautiful in real life than on the photos. Katie is the most lovely host you can imagine. The house is lovingly decorated with attention to every possible detail and the enjoyment of the renters in mind. We booked way too short. We should have stayed for the week. Neither the kids nor we wanted to leave when « our time was up ».

Siamo stati accolti dalla proprietaria, in casa abbiamo trovato biscotti,pane, caffè e marmellata. I letti sono comodissimi, tutto è nuovo e ben tenuto. Abbiamo amato la location immersa nella loro fattoria e nel silenzio totale. La strada per arrivare è un po' tortuosa, giusto segnalarlo per chi ha un veicolo grande e fa fatica a fare manovra. Zona ottima per visitare i dintorni e le Cotswolds .

• Claudio (10/5): Very pleasant stay at Quarker cottage - Almost everything. Kate was really friendly and available, she gave us also a welcome package at arrival. The cottage is new, spacious, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed also watching the animals at the farm and having a walk in the countryside around. Nothing in particular, maybe just the road to reach the cottage is narrow but, after the first drive, i got used to it!

The accommodation was outstanding, stylishly decorated like something out of a magazine, with incredibly comfortable beds and a lovely view of the village. The welcome pack was a wonderful surprise as well. Great quality bedding and towels - might have to upgrade our bedding at home now. My family of 4 all highly recommend staying at this peaceful and relaxing cottage.

We were welcomed by Kate upon arrival who was super friendly and helpful, and the cottage absolutely exceeded our expectations. It had all the necessary amenities and more, including a welcome drink with several snacks, and various pamphlets on things to do in the Cotswolds area. The cottage was very cozy, comfortable and peaceful, with stunning views over the farm and beyond. Great location within walking distance from the town of Painswick. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Kate, our host, is a wonderful person, who took care of every detail in the property and generously provided us with breakfast goodies, as well as a bottle of bubbly. The cottage was spotless and very tastefully decorated. A fully equipped, well designed kitchen made it a joy to cook. Staying on a farm was an added bonus, it was very peaceful and quiet and we got to meet Kate's wonderful horses and prized sheep. Great views to the village of Painswick across the valley. We will be coming back!! There was nothing we didn't like.

It was very quiet, and had all the amenities you needed for a few days. The beds were very comfortable, and it was warm and clean. It was decorated and fitted out to a very high standard. The TV which worked off wifi kept dropping out. However we weren’t there to watch TV.

Great for a stay and was lovely in the winter being able to sit on the sofa and watch tv near the fire and i can imagine lovely in the summer. I would definitely return and recommend this to anyone who wants an escape from the stress of life!!

The cottage is modern with very comfortable beds and a super modern kitchen with all we needed. Also we thoroughly enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. The cottage is warm and it was a true home from home experience. The property is located on a very well kept farm just outside the historic charming village of Painswick. Glos. with lovely views of the village across the valley. We highly recommend this delightful property and look forward to staying here again. There is nothing that could add to our enjoyment of staying at Quaker Cottage, it was a truly delightful stay.

We stayed just before Christmas and the beautiful tree and decorations, and the wood-burner, made it so perfect. And the view of Painswick, as the lights came on as dusk drew in was completely magical. Nothing not to like.

• Gareth (10/5): Fantastic property and host. - Katie is a lovely lady who was so kind. My father has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and turned off a few switches he shouldn’t. Katie was patient and understanding. This property is fantastic. Ground floor, easy access, great facilities, so clean, warm and home from home.
• Ian (10/5): Perfection at its best in a very beautiful idyllic setting. - This cottage is absolutely beautiful in stunning surroundings. We were greeted by host Kate who had set out a lovely breakfast selection of freshly baked bread, butter, jam tea coffee biscuits and hot chocolate, which we really enjoyed. The cottage was spotless on our arrival and everything was very well presented including the sumptuous sofas and sky glass tv which was a bonus. There are bi fold doors that look out over Painswick village and st Mary’s church plus the very scenic fields and sheep. There are 2 gorgeous black faced rams nearby, these 2 are little characters who love a digestive biscuit or 3! They’re very friendly and gentle. I couldn’t recommend this beautiful cottage more. We will definitely be booking again. Massive thanks to Kate the cottage is a credit to you. Absolutely nothing!
