Guest Reviews
- Marcus (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - On the main street. Plenty going on. Central for everything. Nice accommodation with good views all around. Felt homely. No freezer. Settee was uncomfortable. Dining chairs uncomfortable. Info in the pack was out of date. Said there was a parking pass but there wasn't. No parking at the property which I knew anyway but due to the weather and how busy it was, found a parking spot but felt I couldn't move the car again or id lose the spot. Didn't feel any of this detracted from the enjoyment of staying there. All in all it was a lovely little place.
- Philip (10/5): Shirt stay in Haworth - Location was super, clean appartment, fully equipped kitchen / diner. Lge bed.
Bathroom good size. All good.
- Hanagellar (10/5): Exceptional - We had a truly lovely stay at Little Withens during our weekend in Haworth. The accommodation was incredibly cosy, peaceful, and charming – a perfect place to relax after long walks across the moors. Everything was clean, well-prepared, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
The location is ideal – right in the heart of the village, yet quiet and private. It really felt like a home away from home.
We would absolutely love to come back again in the future and would recommend Little Withens to anyone looking for a warm and atmospheric place to stay in Brontë Country. Thank you for such a beautiful experience!
- Elizaveta (4/5): Good location but very dirty and the owner is not very accommodating - The location and the view were great. The flat itself was cosy but the cleaning level was very disappointing. I usually don’t write negative reviews, but this stay was very disappointing. The flat was quite dirty—there was a lot of hair on the bedsheets, which were clearly not fresh. The towels had stains, and there were layers of dust under the bed. There was also dog hair on the sofa.
The bed was very uncomfortable and felt like it was about to collapse (see the attached images). I was afraid to move too much in case it fell apart.
When I messaged the owner in the evening, she said she would send someone to clean the next morning, but also mentioned that three people had already checked it, which felt like she was doubting my concerns.
While the towels were replaced and the dust was cleaned, the bedsheets were not changed. After the cleaning, the owner simply sent me a message saying, “It’s been cleaned.” Not a very hospitable response.
I would not recommend staying at this place if cleanliness is important to you. I was also disappointed by the owner's lack of genuine interest in resolving the issue properly.
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (5/5): Ok need improvement - Location A bit run down & taty outside dinning table no fit for purpose, tv not good one tea towel & no scourer to wash crockery ?
- Natalie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): A perfect two day Christmas present in the centre of town. - Everything! When we opened the door and felt the warmth, up the stairs… the living / kitchen through to the bedroom. It was perfect! Absolutely nothing! I cannot see what anyone could find negative!!!!
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional - Very central ideal for shops restaurants.
- Kelly (6/5): Great location - The location is amazing On arrival, the apartment was very cold. It was explained on the information pack that the heating would be switched on twice a day. Still no heating or hot water waking up the next day, so we rang the owner to ask for it to be switched on. We stayed in November so it was incredibly cold and snowy. We were told they would switch it on for us but it wouldn't come on for another hour. We went out that day without being able to have a shower! Returned to the flat later and still no heating. Info pack said we could go to the shop 'Spooks' below if we had any issues, they told us the boiler was broken and waiting on fix. Delays in the morning because of the snow. Looking at the other reviews it seems to be an ongoing issue. The heating came on later Saturday afternoon about 4:30pm.
EDIT: 14/12/2024
I wanted to respond to the owners disappointing reply which is a clear attempt at damage control for their rental business.
1. NO INFORMATION ABOUT THE FAULT: The owner did not tell us about a fault with the boiler. We stayed for 2nights, arriving Friday evening and check out Sunday. We reported no heating on Saturday morning. We didn't ask why it would take an hour, instead I incorrectly presumed it took a while to heat up because the building was old.
2.LACK OF COMMUNICATION: After the call was made we realised we didn't have any hot water either.Sent a text message to report this. We did not get a reply back and again no info about a fault. Approx 2pm we visited the shop below. This was the FIRST time we were told of an issue. The lady was really lovely and I appreciated all the efforts that had been made to fix. She said she hadn't been able to get in touch with the owner. I'm somewhat confused by this now, how did she know about the issue?
3. COMPENSATION NOT OFFERED: We have not been offered compensation and this has never even discussed.
- Peter (9/5): lovely location and xmas lights always a good start to festive season. Shop below is interesting too - great central location, nice view down and across mainstreet, clean, tidy, warm, useful little kitchenette. Will def book again.
- Jason (8/5): An excellent stay - in a brilliant location. - The location and set up of the property was fantastic. We really couldn't fault it. The only issue is that we didn't sleep well over the 2 nights there. The bed was uncomfortable and every time one of us moved the metal frame clanged and sqweaked waking us up each time. This was a shame as everything else was perfect.
- Cotton (10/5): Exceptional - Lucky got parking by apartment , open door and onto gorgeous street perfect
- Marco (10/5): Perfect - Perfect location, in the main street of the town, near the Bronte house. Very clean and confortable, fully furnished. i think is the best choice.
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Smashing location for the main street and really handy for our visit to the K&WVR beer and music festival. Pub directly across the road too. Perfect size for a couples break. Property nicely furnished and very clean. A lovely place to chill on an evening and watch the comings and goings on the street. Bit of bind with the parking, I had to keep returning to the car park to put more money on. The three spaces outside the property were fully occupied by the same cars all weekend. Some kind of permit agreement with the car park would be great to save on that hassle - otherwise perfect
- Katherine (9/5): I enjoyed my time at the flat and overall is was a great place to stay. I will go back again. - The location was brilliant, the kitchen had everything you would need. The views from the windows were the best, I could people-watch out of one window or daydream at the countryside out the other whilst having my breakfast. The headboard on the bed is coming loose from the frame so every time I moved the bed squeaked and it drove me mad. Just needs tightening up, a 2 minute job. Plus the pillows need renewing, they are very flat and lumpy.
- Carola (9/5): Fantastic accommodation in a unique spot. - Great location, everything close by Nothing to improve.
- Carol (9/5): Superb - Great location
- Jayne (7/5): Good value for money - Good location Parking difficult. Would benefit from WiFi
- Toni (10/5): Great little find !!! 😀 - Great little find - excellent location. Very homely - loved staying here.
Very clean & tidy. 😁
- Pam (6/5): Perfectly adequate central accommodation with basic facilities reflected in price. - I was able to drop luggage off at the property and access the key from a lockbox easily.
The apartment was in a very central location - just open the front door and you were on the main street of Haworth. The bedroom was lovely and the bed comfy but it did rattle a bit when moving.
It was good value for money as was cheaper than most properties in Haworth. Perfect for one person who just needs a base to explore Haworth. The parking situation wasn't great. There are a couple of spaces outside but these were always taken. The price has gone up at the nearby Museum Car Park and would have cost £84 for 3 nights! However the Bronte Village car park is still £20 and not too far to walk if luggage is dropped off first.
The apartment was good value for the money but that was reflected in the basic facilities provided and lack of personal touch. For me I was looking for a place to relax and recharge for a few days so things like there not being a cafetiere and a very small television, with unreliable internet connection affected this. There were no extras provided as in some places so bring your own shower gel, tea, coffee, kitchen roll, foil etc. I am a regular visitor to Haworth and I tried Little Withens after my usual accommodation wasn't available. I have also stayed at other properties with friends and family and for me I would rather now pay a bit more for better provision.
- Christopher (9/5): Staying here was an excellent experience, a clean and comfortable base right at the heart of things - Both the property and its location were excellent for us, everything at hand. We found the flat enjoyable outside and in, somehow small yet spacious it has a very pleasant atmosphere, for us a real feel good factor. Very much enjoyed our stay. For a light sleeper the bed frame was a bit squeaky
- Tracy (9/5): Great couple of days - Fantastic location with great views Howarth is a lovely place so many walks and plenty of places for a drink when you’ve worn yourself out Nothing excellent value for money
- Agata (9/5): Superb -
- Thompson (9/5): Great spot, great place - Fantastic location, clean with everything you need
- Rebecca (8/5): Fantastic location with great views - Fantastic views of the village and great location. Very clean and pleasantly decorated. The pillows were really lumpy and there were not enough towels or tea towels. Probably could do with a few more mugs etc, all easily rectified.
Parking was problematic but that's more a Haworth problem. Use RingGo app for ease.
- Joanne (2/5): Lots of problems and unresponsive host - Location on main street was good no hot water, parking is all the way up the main road in public car park, car parking voucher is expired had to pay warden or car would not be released.
- Susan (10/5): Fantastic property would recommend it -
- Stacey (9/5): Perfect location for Haworth. - Perfect location for Haworth, everything you need/want is close to hand, lovely pubs and quaint shops, great for people watching. The apartment had excellent kitchen facilities!
The living space upstairs provided a fantastic viewpoint of the lower part of Main street and hills in the distance from the windows. I especially enjoyed hearing the toots from the vintage steam trains that were running during our stay from the nearby KWVR train station.
We really did enjoy our break... The place was very cosy and we were able to relax and feel at home there.
'Little Withens' is a little gem! :) A suggestion: A fan for keeping cool would be great and additional bath towels.
- Bulmer (9/5): A great location. Simple, clean and cosy accommodation. Lovely hosts. Great value! - The location is ideal if you want to be in the centre of Haworth. The accommodation is perfect for a couple. Views done Main Street are lovely. And even though there is traffic you're not bothered by that in the bedroom, as it's at the back of the property. There wasn't a car parking pass as stated. However, the shop below reimbursed our car parking tickets for the duration of our stay. If you want to experience the beautiful old village of Haworth and have easy access to the park, train station and the hills above for walking, Little Withins is a perfect place to stay! Not much I didn't like really. A bath mat might be a good addition. And maybe curtains in the bedroom to block out more light for those affected by that. Otherwise there is nothing much at all to criticise with Little Withins.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (9/5): The cutest location in the cutest street in Haworth! - Fantastic location right in the middle of the cobbled Main Street of Haworth. We managed to get a park right outside.
Communication was the host was excellent. We needed a few extra things for cooking, and they were provided straight away! Travellers should note that many of the shops and restaurants in Haworth are closed on Monday and Tuesday (as is the Bronte Museum) - but the pubs are open! The Black Bull at the top of the street even has Theakstons Old Peculier on draught!
- Linda (8/5): Very good - Location was great really central , apartment was lovely No blind above bath, bath taps and shower connection leaked every where. We didn't use the shower cubicle as not private no blinds at window
- Charlotte (10/5): Beautiful little flat. Perfect for two adults. Beautiful views. - Beautiful property. Excellent location on Main Street. So picturesque. Every thing you needed for a self catering break Loved everything
- Stephen22 (10/5): A relaxing stay in a beautiful location which was also excellent value. The host is very welcoming and free parking is a - The property was well looked after with lots of thoughtful little touches. The location was excellent for the Brontë museum, the Worth Valley steam railway and walks on the moors. Main Street, outside the property, was interesting and bustling with lots of local shops and cafes. However the property itself is very peaceful and relaxing. The bathroom is downstairs.
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - If you are a Bronte fan, the location was excellent. The period feel of the property has been retained and it was well equipped, bright and clean. It is located in the Main Street, just a short walk uphill to the church and Bronte Parsonage Museum. There was nothing I disliked but you do need to be relatively fit to live in this location because of the steep hills but that should be self evident to ay visitor to Haworth. The bathroom in the property is downstairs and the living are upstairs. I found this in keeping with the period feel of the property but some may find it a disadvantage.
- Vikki (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent. Very quiet . The shower was blocked & kept filling up .
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): A great little good value find - The apartment above the Spooks shop was comfy and cosy, simply equipped with what you might need for a short break. Loved the views of the street and across the valley 😄 We loved Little Withens on the busy 'Main Street' of Haworth (busy at the weekend with tourists walking up and down not with traffic). The bedroom was to the back so quiet and removed from the evening street noise. Be aware as we were from the blurb and other reviews that the bathroom is downstairs as you enter rather than upstairs with the rest of the accommodation - the lounge/kitchen and the bedroom which isn't great for some - we left the light on round the bathroom mirror which gave enough of a glow to see the way down in the middle of the night.
- Mia (9/5): Superb - Such a cosy, lovely little flat in an unbeatable location! Truly felt like a home from home and I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Having a washing machine, being able to cook my own meals etc. was so convenient during a long trip around the UK and the WiFi is fast & reliable for remote workers/digital nomads. As other reviews have pointed out the bathroom is downstairs, so that may be something to keep in mind if you struggle with stairs. For me however the location (right on the Main Street with lovely views) and the overall vibe of the place were just what I was looking for! Tip: Uber works in the area so if you have lots of luggage I’d recommend getting a taxi to/from Keighley—it’s less than £10 and saved me a struggle uphill. After that I used the frequent buses to get around and visit the area. Lots of interesting shops in the village and everyone in Haworth was so friendly and welcoming! Maybe provide more towels—I usually bring mine so I was OK, but only one was provided at the flat. I’d also recommend bringing a sleeping mask if like me you’re sensitive to light because it does get quite bright in the morning (at least this time of the year).
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - Location , near everything, shops park and the railway station.
Quiet, even though it was near a pub . First impressions were , clean and a good size , however after the rain nowhere to leave a wet brolly , coats dripping on the carpet.
The mixer tap on the bath is faulty, couldn't just wash our hair , the washing machine draw was black , didn't use it just wanted to rince some wet clothes , the hallway could in our opinion benefit from another banister for safety reasons , also the sofa had hairs on it , some of the kitchen cupboards inside still had ring marks from the glasses and cups , also a discusting dish cloth was left , .We didn't take any towels , we had to share one .
Disappointed sorry 😞.
- Herbert (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect for both long and short stays - Perfect location, fantastic communication, beautiful little apartment with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. Thank you for a lovely stay 😃 There's no negatives

- Kerry (10/5): Go now! Amazing! - Absolutely perfect! Location great could not ask for a more perfect spot!. The lady who owned the building messaged us when a power cut happened and the lovely people in the shop below came to check in when the power went and were so useful on local information and where to go etc. Apartment was lovely and clean very spacious and bed was really comfy! Nicely decorated. Can't praise this place enough! Can't moan about anything honestly the best place we have stayed so far from booking.com
- Catrin (10/5): Exceptional -

- Sheena (8/5): Enjoyable visit to Howarth. Ate in The Fleece Inn twice and staff were lovely. - Very central in the village. Comfortable and clean with everything I needed. Bed was very comfy. Unfortunately the heating and hot water cut out on the last night of my stay. There’s a little electric heater so I wasn’t cold.

- Hurst (7/5): Good - Central location. Slightly chilly.

- Tracy (10/5): Beautiful Haworth - The location is central to main st, and how homely it felt.
- Ray (10/5): Fabulous stay in a clean Apartment. - The location was excellent, the lady who managed the property was so nice and friendly. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. We have no complaints what do ever. Nothing to report, we have no faults with this booking and we will return.
- Francesca (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous little apartment in a brilliant location. Spotlessly clean.
- Patricia (10/5): Perfect location in the heart of Haworth in a lovely cozy apartment - Couldn't get any more central...stepped out of the door onto Main Street in the heart of Haworth...perfect! The apartment had everything you need for a lovely break away...! Will definitely be back!
- Rebecca (10/5): We enjoyed our visit to beautful Haworth and I am pining for the place now I am home x - From the front door onwards it was a lovely little apartment. The views of the street and hills from the windows were lovely.
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): The Pefect Short Stay Spot - Perfect spot in the perfect location! Little Withens was cosy and welcoming, clean and well-equipped. We loved the views and proximity to bars and pubs. Being able to drop off the car and then not drive for a couple of days was bliss. Nothing negative to say!
- Catriona (9/5): A cute wee bolt hole - This place was so adorable. Very cute and comfortable. Right in the centre of things and close to shops pubs and restaurants. Well equipped. Unfortunately the parking is a fair walk from the property which was not a huge deal but posed a bit of an issue because I had injured my knee and walking was temporarily painful. It might have been stated in the listing but we didn't notice that.
- Sanders (8/5): A fresh, modern, two storey flat in an excellent location on Main Street. - I made my own breakfast as it was self catering Accessing the key from the locked key box. I didn't have the right entry code and needed help from a nearby shop owner and the flat's cleaner in order to open the door.
- Alicja (9/5): Superb - Location on spot, very small but it is sufficient, they gave us parking pass which was great because if you stay longer than 2 days it feels bad to pay for carpark in such a busy youristy area. Bed was super comfortable Small, but as mentioned it doesn't really bother
- Norman (9/5): Excellent stay, would stay again. -
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay littlest gem of a place - Brilliant little place. We loved it and will be back again. Everything was perfect
- Derek (8/5): lovely central clean but living room cold even though heating on - very central the main room very cold at night
- Derek (7/5): clean good facilities but very cold - very clean right in the main st nice welcome pack tea coffee milk sugar couldn’t control the heating and it was cold in the morning lot of condensation from the windows not warm enough for a winter stay
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Tim (10/5): Hidden in Plain Sight! - Ideally placed in the centre of Haworth's Main Street with bars and restaurants straight out of the door. Also convenient for the Bronte sites and for the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway whose Beer & Music Festival we were attending. Hard to find fault, not the cheapest property.
- Deborah (7/5): Good -
- Mason (9/5): Cracking location and comfy place to stay - What a great place, location could not have been better for a couple of days in Haworth. Spotlessly clean, well appointed and very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Should be aware that bathroom and rest of apartment are not on the same floor. Steep but safe staircase between them.
- Rebecca (5/5): basic but clean budget accommodation - ideal if all you want is a comfy bed and a hot shower, but lacking the extras tha - good location and very clean steep steps, tiny sofa, no wi-fi, no nearby parking (other accommodation has a residents pass you can borrow)
- Beverley (4/5): Ruined by poor service - Good central location. Good furnishings. The owner knew there was a problem with the heating and left us for two days with no heating so the property was very cold. The heating is controlled from the shop below so goes off when it closes. Very disappointed with the owner's attitude to us.
- Miles (7/5): Clean, nice place. Helpful host -
- Louisa (10/5): Excellent location, clean and well maintained - highly recommended - Spotlessly clean, well decorated, everything possible provided for a comfortable stay. Central location in Haworth Main Street, close to the Brontë Parsonage Museum, Church, pubs and restaurants. Suggest bags on wheels if you come by car. Parking in car park at top of village. Not a complaint, rather a recommendation to future guests. Worth it for central location. Pass provided for free parking.
- Nobuyuki (8/5): Very good -
- Hilary (7/5): Relaxing - Location good central. Cold bathroom
- Nicky (8/5): Nice overnight - Wonderful central position, clean. Very sparse, no books or games or any bathroom supplies except handwash. We would normally bring but were long distance walking so hoped there was shower gel or something like.
Bathroom with toilet is downstairs if that's a consideration for you.
- Laura (10/5): lovely little apartment on the most picture perfect street. - great location, very clean, free parking permit, cozy. nothing
- Paul (9/5): Amazing little find! - Location couldnt be more perfect. Beautiful little apartment. Kate couldnt be more accommodating. Would definatly book again if i the area NA
