Guest Reviews
- Peter (9/5): Really enjoyed it there. -
- Nicole (10/5): Memories made in a beautiful place - The location was brilliant. The cottage was homely and quant.
- Emma (10/5): -
- Vicky (9/5): Fantastic place, great location and Russ from Tarn and Escape is wonderful. - Excellent location, beautiful cottage , it contained everything we wanted. The induction hob , but that was personal to us . We couldn’t find English instruction and found it extremely frustrating to figure out how to use it .
This was the only niggle and as I say personal to our group who hadn’t encountered one before.
- Shaun (6/5): Pleasant - Fantastic location very well equipped.
- Threlkeldcowboy (10/5): Cracking cottage in a great location - I can honestly it's a cracking property and there's nothing not to like! Pushing it, and not being picky... a pizza cutter would be good unless we just missed it.
- Rob (7/5): Comfortable stay in beautiful Lake District village - All the basic needs No paking
- Sheila (10/5): Superb - House very clean and comfy and was situated in the centre of the village. There are various walks available from the cottage and a bus which connects Hawkeshead to other main towns in the lakes. Nothing. Every was as advertised.
- Stephen (10/5): Lovely cottage well equipped for a family, the host was helpful and friendly. - Great location in a lovely village, walks from the door.
- Julia (9/5): A comfortable stay in a great location. - Smithy Cottage is comfortable and clean and in a great location - perfect base for what we needed over the weekend. We had really good communication and service from Tarn and Fell Escapes (thank you Ross) Didn't really have anything we didn't like.
- Sean (9/5): Perfectly located cosy, clean, well equipped property, ideal for family. - The location was perfect, so close to the village facilities, you could walk directly from the property, and local beauty spots were within easy driving distance. The property was very clean, cosy and well equipped (although a cafetière would have been nice). Although not a great inconvenience, because we didn’t really need the car, a parking space at the property would have been ideal - but this shouldn’t put anyone off.
- Gretchen (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cosy home, ideal location.
Instructions were clearly, communication brilliant.
Thank you! We loved staying there
- Philippa (10/5): Exceptional - Great location especially if you're doing The Lap, ultra. Spotlessly clean great facilities and very comfortable beds. We only had one parking permit but had to use more than one car and paid for parking for 3 nights which added to the cost slightly. Other than that there was nothing to dislike.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexandria (9/5): Fantastic stay and would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. - Excellent location, beautiful cottage. Very comfortable double beds. Management team are excellent We couldn't get the TV's in the bedrooms to work - but that could have just been us and the SKY satellite needs updating. Also, 2 mattresses on single beds not great (for adults).
- Margaret (9/5): A lovely stay in a lovely cottage in a lovely part of the world - Closeness to town and amenities. Close to good walks out straight into the country. The cottage was very lovely and warm, comfortable. It was really quiet despite being close to the road. Parking facitilities do make it quite difficult for more than one car. The cooker could do with a guide as to how to use it near the cooker to help those who are not confident with such a cooker
- Lety (10/5): Amazing house and location in a beautiful village. - Wonderful little house. Very spacious and was perfect for our group. Location is perfect to everything
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Gareth (9/5): Superb - Great furnishings, cozy and had everything we needed. The mattresses were quite firm, granted it was very hot while we stayed and my partner is pregnant which added to the discomfort. Otherwise very comfortable stay.
