On s’y sent presque comme en famille grâce à la convivialité des échanges. La chambre était tout à fait convenable, propre et confortable. Une belle expérience globale, l’emplacement est très bien, je recommande.

• Ivan (6/5): Враження що тебе замкнули та треба перечикати - Приємний персонал та розташування недалеко від міста В туалеті проблема з дверима якщо їх зачинити то потрібно відкривати ключем з зовні. Світло у кімнаті не недостатньо, немає зручностей куди покласти речі (але є попільничка та стіл на вулиці), кімната стара (добре що не було мурах). Атмосфера не сприяє відпочинку.

• Mark (6/5): - Location is easy to find, close to downtown and just 5-minute drive to San Juan. Host/staff is accomodating and helpful. Water dispenser is a plus and the parking. Aside from AC unit there is also fan. Good value for money. Wifi is working well during our stay which is essential. Definitely booking this place again next time. Room is dusty, toilet needs futher cleaning. They might consider updating the AC with a split-type so it is quiet. They might also consider replacing their window with sliding glass panel instead of jalousy to maintain better room temperature when the AC is on.

• Alyssa Micaela (8/5): Extremely Satisfied - It was affordable and the hosts were very accommodating. They also have solar power so you won’t feel that there’s power interruption. WiFi is also reliable and there’s free water. It’s near the port but quite far from San Juan which is our fault because we didn’t double-check ahead of time. But given the price it’s worth it.

Location is quite good as its within 15 mins from the port via motorcycle. The owner was very nice and accommodating. Toilet could be better. No hang points for towel and toiletries. Should be a matt inside.

Since it was my first time in Siquijor I really didnt know where to to stay but this is really an answered prayer as it was just a perfect location for my 4 day stay. The host is also exceptional. I was able to rent their car for days with a reasonable price, there are times I had even requested my food to be prepared since I had no time going out. It was a hassle free experience staying here!

• Quentin (2/5): Bad stay - Bed & pillows were okay Wifi good We didn’t have a great stay at James. We have been 4 weeks in Philippines, used to guesthouse filipino Style. But usually as we book , we know the state of the place , thanks to the picture and information from the owner ; so even if simple, not an issue. Here the problem : it looked nothing alike the picture. The owner took care of taking old « okay » picture ; no picture of the bathroom In the end : - Really bad smell of humidity/urine ( they should know since all windows were open when we arrive ) - Room is in a really bad shapes : painting clogging everywhere ; curtains broken , holes in the wall. - Bathroom : Not cleaned and basically full of dirts - hairs & sand, tiny , 1sqmeter, not hot water and not mentioned - Not friendly staff. They propose to clean the bathroom when they come back a 10pm but not even a sorry, an apologize , a smile. - AC old school and super noisy - Window gives on old trashes behind the house ( old toilets for instance ) And the worst quality/price we had in all Philippines. We stayed one night while booking for two , and left before the end of the stay.

Budget room was basic but certainly can't complain with the price. Budget room a/c struggled to cool the room during the day and the bathroom had quite a few ants in it.

Haha we ended up having a room without AC, that was terrible. We were unlucky to get the room with AC, otherwise our stay would be way better. But due to holy week, there weren’t any options left.

Puppies are so sweet and don't disturb your staying. We stayed there 5 days and we had to ask for toilet paper and a broom for cleaning the room, because they didn't do it. It would be nice if they were pending on these things.

I was there with my whole family and they find the place very relaxing and comfortable. Looking forward to visit and stay again - Our Siquijor trip is a blast and part of it is having a lovely accommodation (feels like home). The staff and owner are very helpful and show real hospitality to us. If you're a dog person, you'll have a chance to meet their furbaby Hersey <3. They even accommodate our request for another stay due to the boat trip cancellation (Going back to DGT). We'll be going back to Siquijor since we haven't done exploring it and will not hesitate to stay again with James Homestay. The location is very near to the port area which makes it easy to move around. The location was a signal dead zone but they have strong internet connections to compensate, we just have a minor issue encountered when we try doing transactions that need mobile signals like receiving OTP which can be done when you go to the area w/ signal.
