Guest Reviews
- Dylin (10/5): Absolutely fantastic so comfortable amazing view and such a tidy place would 1000% recommend for anyone looking a break - Absolutely everything Nothing everything was fantastic
- O'Neill (7/5): - The view. The coziness. The host. The cooker. The shower ran cold..
- Allison (10/5): - L'emplacement est à couper le souffle ! Se reveiller tous les matins devant le lac et les montagnes était un vrai bonheur.
Patrick est aux petits soins. C'est très agréable. Rien, c'etait parfait pour nous !
- Puentes (10/5): - Great accommodations, views, and hosts.
- Lindsay (10/5): - The location was beautiful and so quiet. The cabin was spotless and finished to a high standard. The owner welcomed us once we arrived and was happy to send us some locations for nice walks, which we done and they where all stunning, with forests, mountains and lakes. Village of Cong only 15 min drive. We will definately be back again, well worth the 4 hr 30 min drive from belfast. Nothing
- Ita (10/5): Exceptional. - Perfect little retreat. Amazing views.
I couldn’t say enough about it. It has to be experienced.
- PEJ001 (9/5): - Super cute and modern cabin located alongside a beautiful lake. Private location with a great view. The cabin is super practical inside and offers all comfort for 2 people. Also the host is very welcoming and available for help or questions. Nothing. We were sad we had to go .
- Jakub (10/5): Perfect - The views are amazing. It's a perfect spot to just relax and take a break from work and everyday stress. It's so quiet and peaceful, and the comments that talk about the hosts property being close are just complaining, really not that close at all. You have full privacy. The host was really friendly and helpful. I'm recommending to all my friends and family, and I'll definitely be back again. Thanks a lot for this perfect gateway trip. Patrick, you're the man!
Rien
- Thomas (10/5): - Totally peaceful and tranquil, beautiful spot. Would have been great to stay a few extra days to really enjoy BBQ and swimming in the Lake.
- Anne (9/5): Small and perfectly equipped space to enjoy a couple of days of peace and quiet. -
Sehr netter Gastgeber.
- Martha (10/5): Perfect retreat on the shore of a beautiful lough - This little cabin near the shore of the lough was very private and relaxing. The scenery from all windows of the cabin as well as from the attached deck was unsurpassed. My stay here felt like a vacation within my vacation. One rainy day I stayed inside reading, drinking tea, and watching the light and weather change — it was one of the most memorable days of my trip! I also loved the cows, who showed up each evening around sunset to say hello, as well as the fox who would trot by occasionally and the birds. The host was very helpful, checking in each day by text to see if I needed anything. There is nothing I did not like, but travelers should be aware that this is not in or near a village and it is a bit of a drive to a pub or small store. It would be wise to bring food supplies when coming as noted in the description, the cabin is small: it was perfect for me alone, but might be a bit tight for a couple if the weather keeps you indoors.
- Veronika (10/5): One of a kind location - Extraordinary lake and mountain views, very cozy cabin and great communication with our host.
- Sam (10/5): Brilliant - The wildlife by the lake- saw an otter and hares
- Grace (10/5): 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Galway - The cabin was in a great location. It was secluded enough to be peaceful but was only a short to drive to the town. All the little touches made it a great place to stay
- Mya (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect if you want a getaway to just disconnect from the rest of the world. And the visits from the sheep were fabulous!! Plus getting to listen to the sounds of the lake was beautiful. Absolutely nothing, I saw reviews saying it was close to his house which made me a bit apprehensive but when we arrived we noticed it was actually far enough away that you don’t even notice.

- Drina (10/5): Perfect Hut at the lake 👌 - Stunning location overlooking Lough Mask. Beautiful, cosy hut. No detail was spared, down to the small cereal boxes and milk in the fridge. Amazing use of available space with plenty of storage in 3 big drawers under the bed. The 2 Plate stovetop, small oven and fridge are perfectly proportioned if you want to cook. The outside space is well thought out with gas bbq, couch and hammock under string lights. We stayed 2 nights and cooked on the bbq both nights. The weather wasn't great but the covered outdoor space provided perfect shelter. Eventhough the main house is only a stone's throw away, this hut is very private and feels secluded as it is lower down a laneway, right at the edge of the lake and not overlooked. Cows and sheep are your neighbours and we even saw a rabbit and fox. This is more a personal preference but it would be practical if they opted for small side tables rather than boxed headboard so that you can move around the bed.
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional - If your looking for a quiet get away this is the place. Patrick made it easy to find and the cabin is very warm, clean and comfortable. The views are unmatched. I spent 2 nights and will be back again.
