• Robert (10/5): An unforgettable stay that let me experience Venice’s timeless beauty - My stay in Venice was nothing short of enchanting. Caterina was wonderfully kind and attentive, embodying the warmth of true Venetian hospitality. Staying here felt like living history, not simply visiting Venice, but experiencing it as the Venetians once did. The residence, a magnificent palace adorned with art and refined décor, was spotless and full of character. Its central yet peaceful location made it the perfect base for exploring the city. I’ve stayed in Venice many times, but this is now my absolute favorite place, a home that captures the very soul of Venice.

• Zoe (9/5): Beautiful and luxe stay in a great area - Such a lovely place, the hotel opens right up onto the canal and all of the artwork and decor have a luxurious "Venetian" feel without feeling too kitchy. The bathroom was much nicer than I anticipated and the staff were very helpful and accommodating, providing recommendations, booking us a private taxi to the airport, etc. The location was great, this was our first time in Venice and we wanted to be somewhere walkable without being right on a tourist thoroughfare and this was the perfect location. We were spitting distance from a good wine bar and a few restaurants without feeling overwhelmed by people when we stepped out. The beds could be slightly comfier (not bad, just a little firm for my taste). We got a decent amount of noise coming off the canal some nights. Definitely just something to be expected with the location of being right on the river, but maybe bring a white-noise maker if you're a light sleeper! Totally worth the beauty of being able to look out and sit along the canal in my opinion.

I don’t understand why booking.com advertise this place as a hotel. I’m so disappointed in booking. Com for allowing customers to book this place, without full explanation of what is involved. Booking.com advertises this place as a hotel, it is not a hotel. This place is an Airbnb museum. Booking gave this place 9.5 rating and excellent. That’s why I booked it despite some red flags. For starters, I was beaten by mosquitoes at night. You ca hear your next door neighbor breathing. I was bathing one morning, water stopped running. I have no body to call inform them that water has stopped running. It was a nightmare. They will give you a code to get into the compound, you arrive back from your sight seeing, then you start putting this code to open the gate to enter this compound to get to your room that is in the top top floor , climbing this dangerous stairs. My room was advertised with mini fridge, there was no mini fridge. I have to file a complaint with booking.com because I felt deceived with the way they advertised this place. I didn’t know how to get out of there. The internet was horrible. The WiFi was so bad, it didn’t work.

Quello che ha reso il soggiorno pessimo è stato il fatto che la mia stanza era stata lasciata con le finestre aperte, quando sono arrivato, così mi sono ritrovato in una camera molto fredda ma, soprattutto, letteralmente invasa dalle zanzare, per cui è stato impossibile dormire. Il fatto di avere lo scarico del lavandino otturato, il rubinetto del bidet da cui usciva pochissima acqua, vedermi proposta una colazione che definire misera è un eufemismo e l'avere a che fare con una persona con la quale era molto difficile comunicare in lingua italiana, non ha migliorato l'impressione complessiva.

Das Zimmer war ebenfalls sehr schön mit antiken Möbeln eingerichtet und hatte ein modernes und sehr sauberes Badezimmer. Zur Begrüßung gab es ein Glas Wein aufs Haus. Die Lage ist bestens. Sehr nahe am wunderschönen Campo San Giovanni e Paolo mit kleinen Bars und Restaurants. Die Gegend ist sehr angenehm, da nicht so überlaufen mit Touristen, zugleich erreicht man alle Hauptorte der Stadt in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß. Wenn ich wieder nach Venedig komme, werde ich wieder dort gerne wieder übernachten. Fällt mir nichts ein.

The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully furnished in harmony with the Venetian theme. Even though the day was rainy, dark, and cloudy outside, once inside this place, with its beautifully decorated walls, baroque-style furniture, and vibrant paintings filled with a multitude of colors, it felt as if sunlight had gently filled every corner. The hosts of this hotel are wonderfully friendly, warm, and exceptionally professional, always ready to provide precise and valuable guidance to help you find whatever you may need. To my delight, I even encountered the actress from the series Emily in Paris staying here—proof that this is a place chosen even by celebrities with refined tastes. A truly special destination, one I wholeheartedly recommend.

From the moment we booked, Catarina (the owner) was incredibly helpful—answering logistical questions, helping us plan our arrival, and making sure everything was ready for our group. The whole staff was lovely, and we’d like to give a special mention to Dorina, who was always friendly and kind as she helped us in the mornings. The hotel itself is a hidden gem: elegant, peaceful, and full of character, located in a charming part of Venice just a short walk from San Marco. We had stunning views of the canal, and some of our favorite moments were spent in the beautiful shared lounge area. With the large door opening directly onto the canal, we could sit and watch gondolas pass by just a few feet away. The whole atmosphere was relaxed, intimate, and uniquely Venetian. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the layout worked perfectly for our group. The accessibility was excellent, with features that made our stay smooth and stress-free for our relative in a wheelchair. We felt truly welcomed and taken care of throughout our stay. We highly recommend Console Palais to anyone traveling with family—or with accessibility needs—who wants to enjoy the authentic charm of Venice without compromising on comfort or location. The property was an old building but with the comforts of modern amenities. The owner, Catherine and her son Alvisa, were delightful and gave us recommended places to dine and visit. They're associate, Dorena was very helpful as well and had coffee and fresh croissants ready for us in the morning. Overall a very nice & pleasant stay. Definitely recommended. All was good.

Несколько диванов, столиков для завтрака и просто посиделок - непринужденно и уютно. На втором и на третьем этажах такие же общие зоны обставленные как в старинных палаццо. Прекрасная старинная мебель, картины, светильники, вазы, посуда. Все устроенно со вкусом и любовью к прекрасному. В номерах, мы за неделю успели пожить в двух (очень просторные), тоже все на самом высоком уровне. Ощущение, что находишься в старинном палаццо в 18 или 19 веке. Доступность ко всем главным достопримечательностям. Caterina - хозяйка и добрая фея каждый день на своем посту, поможет, подскажет, организует, посоветует. Такое ощущение, что находишься в гостях у близких и любимых родственников. Alvise сын Caterina тоже всегда добр вежлив и внимателен и поможет, если потребуется. Каждое утро Dorina помощница предлагает бесплатно кофе-чай и теплый круасан или два, если пожелаешь. Прекрасный отпуск в прекрасном месте рядом с прекрасными людьми. Спасибо большое.

The staff was very welcoming and happy to assist us in anything we needed. There was no elevator but it is a 500 year palazzo style building so its understandable. A bit tough to go up the stairs with heavy bags but we managed.

A multi generational family owned and managed establishment, with charm class, and comfort, all in the heart of Venice. This was my wife’s third time in Venice, but the first for myself and our 10 year old son. The hotel is everything you want for a relaxed Venice experience. From garden courtyard cappuccino sipping, to canal boat watching from the lounge area couch. Room: Our room was spacious for three, with beautiful view, comfortable furniture, wonderful shower and bathroom. A large TV (but should not be needed…you’re in Venice!) and good AC. The mini fridge is well stocked for different tastes. Location: The location is fantastic. From the airport in about an hour you can take public transport (by water and/bus) and have 5-10min walk) or take a 25 min water taxi directly to the reception lounge that is open to a cozy canal. Very easy. We did both; arrived by public water bus and walked a short distance, departed by sharing a direct-to-airport water taxi with other hotel guests. You are just a few minutes walk from all of the main must-see Venice attractions. However, you still feel somewhat secluded and not in the thick of things. It’s quiet at night. There is a grocery store, pizza, gelato, bakery and restaurants just around the corner. Management: Very welcoming hosts that speak fluent English and French. Services were attentive and accommodating. Every morning you are served with a variety of coffee options and freshly baked croissants that can be delivered to your room our any of the comfy lounging areas. The hosts know all about what is going on in Venice and will make recommendations based on your interests. They provided great ideas to do while traveling with a 10 year old. They even invited us to a friend of theirs art opening and reception. We wanted to go but had prearranged dinner plans with friends. We could not stay longer, we had to go home.
