• Jessica (10/5): Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Cruachan Cabin! - In der Unterkunft hat es viel Platz, sodass wir uns problemlos mit unseren zwei großen Koffern im Wohnbereich ausbreiten konnten. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Die Küche hatte alles was es brauchte, dazu haben wir von den Gastgebern noch Milch, Toastbrot, Butter, Joghurt und Eier gestellt bekommen. Caroline hat uns persönlich empfangen und auch verabschiedet, worüber wir uns sehr gefreut haben, weil der Aufenthalt dadurch nicht so anonym blieb. Von der Unterkunft aus hat man einen wundervollen Blick Richtung Berge und kann die Wetterverhältnisse am Old Man of Storr beobachten. Zudem hat man von dort einen recht guten Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel mit dem Auto zu erkunden. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und würden die Unterkunft jedem empfehlen, der einige Tage auf der Isle of Skye verbringen möchte. Die Unterkunft ist etwas abseits gelegen, weswegen man aus unserer Sicht auf ein Auto angewiesen und nicht ganz so flexibel ist. War für uns aber nicht dramatisch.
• Alison (9/5): - Clean. Location excellent for us. Friendly owner. Cabin obviously very new. Picture isn't of the right cabin, and the right one is nearer to the gate. A slight mix up with entry details, but resolved quickly.
• Nikolas (10/5): Perfect - Everything was perfect, the host was very welcoming and kindly provided us with bread, eggs, milk, butter and cheese in the fridge. The cabin was spotless and it was in a very quiet location. Perfect for a getaway trip! No notes, Scottish hospitality at its finest.

• Celia (10/5): The most perfect cozy location for exploring Skye - The most beautiful little cabin on the most beautiful property on the most beautiful Isle! We did not want to leave! It was the perfect base for exploring Skye and the hosts were so lovely and kind- top notch hospitality. We would come back in a heartbeat. The kitchen had everything you needed and the hosts put together a top notch information binder. The cabin has gorgeous views and was impeccably clean. Thank you for such an amazing stay!
• Maider (10/5): Absolutely perfect stay – even better than expected! - The Cruachan Cabin is a truly lovely place to stay on the Isle of Skye – even better than I imagined after reading the reviews. It’s comfortable and absolutely spotless (a solid 15 out of 10). The host was so kind and helpful, and the views are just stunning (especially the cows!). There were some really nice little touches, like finding eggs, milk, butter and cheese in the fridge, really appreciated! The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a quick meal. It’s also conveniently located, just a short drive from Portree. I completely fell in love with Skye and will definitely come back someday, and I’d love to stay at Cruachan Cabin again. Highly recommended!

• Hary (10/5): Gemütliche Cabin mit super Lage - Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber (es wurden sogar Toastbrot, Eier, etc. zur Verfügung gestellt). Die Lage ist sehr zentral auf Skye, Portree ist nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Die Cabin war extrem gemütlich und sehr sauber. Tolle Ausstattung in der Küche und das Bett ist auch sehr bequem. Absolute Empfehlung, ich würde die Unterkunft sofort wieder buchen! Das Badezimmer hat einen kleinen Heizkörper für Handtücher, aber der wärmt den Raum nicht auf. Es war ein wenig ungemütlich kühl, aber auszuhalten. Ansonsten gibt es absolut nichts auszusetzen.

• Bianca (10/5): Wir kommen garantiert wieder - Die Ausstattung ist exzellent, absolut ruhige Lage. Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind absolut freundlich und hatten den Kühlschrank mit Lebensmitteln gefüllt. Perfekte Lage für Touren auf der Isle of Skye —————
• Marion (10/5): Séjour Génial au Cruachan ! - Le propriétaire - Mearn - était au petit soin. Le frigo était rempli de petites attentions pour le petit déjeuner et autre: œufs, lait, beurre, pain, thé, café. La kitchenette était très bien équipée et la chambre très confortable. La VMC de la salle de bain est bruyante mais peut s’éteindre d’un interrupteur ! Hessie - une petite chatte sauvage - vit autour de la maison, elle aime se faire caresser à la tête et c’était un réel plaisir d’être au milieu des vaches en pleine nature au calme !

• Michel (10/5): Top Unterkunkt an sehr guter Lage - Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Willkommenspaket war sehr herzlich und praktisch (Brot, Butter, Käse, Eier, Joghurt...). Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll. Es hat alles, was man braucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ideal.
• Gordon (8/5): Tranquil spot right in the centre of the Isle of Skye with access to all the beauty of the island. - The ADU was in a very tranquil location outside in the countryside. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The hosts provided fresh milk, eggs, toast and other materials for a breakfast. The wifi worked really well and the room took advantage of a great view overlooking the mountains and forest. The shower was a little challenging, there are some low water pressure issues, which we understand are common in the area and so the water pressure was very weak and it was difficult to regulate between hot and cold water.

• Isabelle (9/5): Lovely and very clean cottage and nearby main touristic sites on the Isle of Skye - Nice little cottage with all the comfort you need, nicely furnished, much attention to details, and even more... the host surprised us with some food in the fridge and a bottle of wine. Parking place nextdoor and well situated on the Isle of Skye : only a 10 min drive from Portree, not far from Man of Storr, Castle of Dunvegan and Quirang. Very quiet.

Well equipped, very quiet location, view of the countryside from the bed. Very nice hosts who even provided something in the fridge. Good starting point - not far from Portree - to explore the island (The Quiraing in the North-East, Dunvegan Caste in the West (don't miss the Gardens) and also the south.) The lone rooster could be a bit friendlier ... but the newborn calf was a good compensation for that ;)

Nice 'package' of food supplies on arrival. Super-quiet location in the countryside and still close to Portree. Overall very comfortable and welcoming with great use of space. Bright in the early morning - blinds don't keep the light out.

Owner was responsive prior to arrival with clear directions. I was cautious about the rural farm road leading to the cabin. The owners house was adjacent and he met us within minutes of our arrival. Nothing.
