Guest Reviews
- James (9/5): Beautiful - Quiet location in the middle of the action
Excellent views
- Peter (10/5): Perfect apartment in an ideal location. Highly recommended. - Excellent central location, easily within walking distance to Rome’s main attractions. Marvelous roof terraces make for perfect, quiet evenings outside. Lots of stairs but somehow they add to the experience.

- Lesley (9/5): Lovely romantic week in Rome city centre. - Extremely central location. Ideal for wandering round the city centre. Nearby are hundreds of restaurants/bars plus several supermarkets and stalls selling fresh fruit/veg.
The view at night from the rooftop is stunning! There are roughly 90 steps up to the apartment so you need to be fairly fit. We used the exercise as a payoff for eating gelato! The apartment is bright and clean with plenty of space for a couple. Electric blinds protect your privacy and heat from the sun and the aircon worked very well. The fold down bed was reasonably comfortable. The shower was good. We requested additional towels which were delivered the next day. There's plenty of kitchen crockery, mugs, glasses and cutlery for use by guests and a very small oven/grill. The nespresso coffee maker was put to good use. The washing machine was very easy to use and the clothes dried very quickly outside on the drying rack. There's room on either side of the bed for a week's worth of clothes each with hanging space and shelves, and plenty of hangers were provided in the wardrobes. My only suggestion really would be to provide cushions with the outdoor furniture as the metal can get quite hot in the sun.
- Guest (10/5): The Quirinal Penthouse: A quaint and perfect place to stay in the center of Rome. - This adorable apartment was everything I expected - and more. Clean (with great AC) and spacious despite it being a 1 bedroom place, it was such a pleasure to stay there. Plenty of towels, a good sized bathroom, and my favorite... a washing machine!!! What a life saver that was. It's in a very safe area, there are huge beautiful windows (and power shades for the afternoon) that made the livingroom airy and bright and not one, but 2 patios. The upper deck has a gorgeous view of the city, and there is a surprisingly large patio outside the kitchen where I enjoyed hosting some friends for dinner. The owner, Adriana, was as helpful as she could be and took care of every question before, during, and after I was there! She's even a tour guide, so I hired her for a local history enthusiasts view of the center city. As a host, she was THE BEST. The apartment is ideally located just next to the Piazza Barbarini, and very walkable to restaurants and the sights. SO glad I chose this place. And the REALLY cool thing was the parting scene from the classic film "Roman Holiday" starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn was filmed right there on that street.
- Catriona (9/5): I would recommend this apartment for a trip to Rome if you are looking for a central location. - The apartment was in an excellent location. Underground station only 5 mins walk away so very handy for getting around the city. The street the apartment is located on has no traffic and is beside the presidential residence so it is quiet and has manned police boxes which meant there was no concern for safety. Inside the apartment, it has everything you need for a short or long term stay. The roof terrace also has a good view over the city. Just be aware there is no elevator to the apartment but if you are fit and able its not an issue getting up the internal stairs from the street level. I would highly recommend this apartment if you are visiting Rome.
- Mark (9/5): Excellent but shame we had no hot water for the last two days. - It was clean, quiet in safe area and had the terraces, it was also relatively spacious with lots of light. No kettle or coffee machine. For the money we pay it would not hurt to add a welcome pack that included bottled water ect.
- Busby (10/5): Great location, great views and quiet. - Fabulous place to stay. Conveniently located to Rome's central attractions and with easy walking distance of Roma Termini. The apartment is well appointed and very quiet. The two terraces with sun and commanding views are a highlight. The stairs would only be an issue for the non-abled person or those who travel with heavy wheeled-suitcases. nothing
- Tiia (10/5): If you are looking for a classy, pleasant and well located place to stay this is it! - Location was brilliant. It was hard to believe that we were in a very heart of Rome because it was so peaceful and quiet. The view from upper teraace was magnificent!
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful apartment. Plenty of space with great view from the roof terrace and close to restaurants, bars and some of Romes nicest spots. The location is a hidden quiet spot with all you need in walking distance. Katerina was our contact and was very responsive and helpful. We will come back for sure.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - My wife and I stayed for 12 nights. We've done extended stays at other homes in other European cities but we've never reviewed them because they were all mediocre and we've been unwilling to succumb to grade inflation and rate things five stars that are really three or four. We can write this review because Quirinal Penthouse deserves the top marks we award it.
● The location is super convenient, close to both the historical sites and the train station.
● The space itself is compact but nicely laid out and frankly beautiful. The terraces are huge.
● The kitchen is small, but is fully outfitted with quality cooking gear, not the spare junk you often find. You can cook full meals--anything you want. We loved the stove. There is a toaster oven but no microwave and no oven.
● We stayed over Christmas and New Years, including during a cold spell, and the apartment was plenty warm.
● The place is new and nothing is broken (e.g. no loose fixtures, wobbly furniture, caved-in couches, warped countertops). There are a couple weak spots where trouble will eventually arise, but not yet.
● Location is inherently quiet as it is on a backstreet overlooking an expansive private garden. (Mind you this is Rome, however!)
● Adriana and Edoardo (the hosts) had thoughtfully provided all kinds of basic supplies--paper products, umbrellas, some kitchen basics... There were other items as well. We were very pleasantly surprised.
● Wifi: My speed test got >500 Mbps.
● Perfect space for a digital nomad. The two biggest issues people are likely to have are:
● The stairs: This wasn't an issue for my wife and I, but we've lived much of our life in walk ups, and we travel light. But if you have a lot of luggage or are accustomed to elevators...
● The bed: We slept well every night, so you could say this wasn't an issue for us… but if we had to pick an issue, I would say the bed itself was four stars.
- Stephen (9/5): This is a great apartment at a reasonable price! - The space was updated and clean! Great light, large windows and doors for an 'outdoor' feeling when desired and the outdoor terraces were excellent areas to relax and sip wine! The hosts were very communicative and helpful. The apartment is also in a very safe area of the city! Highly recommend! Lots of stairs (5th floor) but aside from that, no complaints! We knew that going in so not a surprise at all.
