- Jochen (4/5): - Lo unico bueno fueron las plantitas que tenian y que habia un mercado cerca, pero fuera de eso no lo recomendaria, habia cucarachas y para nada estaba limpio, habia mucho moho en las paredes del bano, perros ladrando adentro y la cocina estaba en malas condiciones...no iba a comentar nada pero ahora me llego un mensaje de que quieren cobrarme otra vez cuando en mi banco y en booking me aparece que ya pague, y por un lugar en esas condiciones se me hace un descaro. Gracias, hasta aqui mi reporte. =) No me gusto la calidad del lugar, hace falta mas mantenimiento, la limpieza y olor del lugar fue algo incomodo =( tiene potencial para ser un buen lugar pero si no le dan el cuidado adecuado termina siendo una experiencia decepcionante.

- France (8/5): Agréable séjour mais avec une fin abrupte beaucoup moins agréable - l'architecture ancienne, le quartier, la cuisine bien équipée, les aires communes problème de communication avec le personnel en place; nous avions demandé de prolonger de deux nuits et on nous a dit OK, qu'on pouvait payer le lendemain sans problème. Le lendemain vers midi, on nous annonce qu'il faut quitter car tout a été loué... On nous a offert de loger dans l'autre établissement situé plus dans le Centro, nous y sommes allés mais n'avons pas eu une bonne expérience dans ce lieu. Alors, je pourrais conclure qu'il y a un problème de coordination entre les réservations sur place et celles sur internet...

- bernd (8/5): A very good place a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of downtown! Great hosts! - There is a lot to like about Suites Chingon. The owners and the entire staff are very nice and helpful! It is a little bit outside the Centro Historico (which I knew when I booked it!) but everything is in walking distance. There is a metro station maybe 10 min walk away! There is a fruit and vegetable market and a bakery close by, so are restaurants and cafes (I strongly recommend RinTinTin and Pirotte 45!). There is a well equipped kitchen available. There is a big fridge with labelled shelves, so each room has its own space for food! They offer free coffee and tea and potable water (from the tap through a filter!) There was always hot and sufficient hot water for the shower available and the water pressure was good! It seems people stay longer than just a day or two. I met quite a few who stayed for weeks. I stayed one week! I think the price/value ratio ist quite okay! Well, the facilities are not new but rather well used! The water in the bathroom had a strange smell and taste (when you brush your teeth) which probably comes from older pipes. In the beginning I had a few insects in the bathroom, but I think they moved out shortly after I moved in... Since the kitchen is shared it isn't always super clean, which is not the fault of the owners. In fact the cleaning team tried to stay on top of things! Not everyone followed the "leave it as you want to find it" rule! We had some issues with the internet. For a day or two is wasn't available or spotty.

The kitchen was very well equipped..i decided to stay a few extra days as my flight kept changing..it was wonderful to be able to cook and relax like being at home Some of the guests could have been more respectful about cleaning up after themselves, and remember that noise carries through the older homes..so be respectful of others at 3:00 in the morning when you're coming in from your party

Las cañerías del baño generan mal olor, pero se valora el esfuerzo al dejar aromatizantes para que no se note. La zona era cercana al centro pero no para volverse caminando de noche

El único detalle fue que no me dejaron toalla en la habitación, la solicité al día siguiente y me la proporcionaron sin tema. Aunque no tuve contacto personal con el staff, la atención fue muy buena. La tarja de la cocina siempre estuvo sucia, pero eso no tiene que ver con el personal, sino con los usuarios. Hay que considerar que es un lugar compartido.

Está a cuadra y media del mercado de Jesús y, por ende, muchos lugares donde comer a buen precio. La identificación de las suites, al exterior, es un poco complicada.

- Kristina (8/5): Nice place to stay - Attractive accommodation in a nice part of town about a 15 minute walk from the historic centre. Lots of places to eat nearby and a cute market only a few minutes walk away. Staff were very helpful and helped us out with some tours which were good value for money. Would definitely suggest staying here as the room was very comfortable, the shared facilities were great and the staff were very helpful.

- Andrea_HM (6/5): Beautiful Property but Issues Affected Our Stay - The room is set in a beautiful casona, giving it a lot of character. The property is very close to the city centre and main attractions, making it convenient for exploring. Overall, the place is clean, well-kept, and visually appealing. When we arrived, the sink had a major leak and couldn’t be used until the following day when it was fixed. Although the host did repair it, this shows the property is lacking basic maintenance and that checks weren’t made to ensure everything was fully functional for guests. On top of that, the shower had virtually no hot water. The “hot” tap only provided lukewarm water at best. One of the few things I expect from accommodation is access to a proper warm shower, which wasn’t the case here. I strongly suggest the host inspect their water heating system and either repairs or replaces it, as it clearly isn’t supplying hot water properly, at least not to the unit we stayed in.

La comunicación con la persona fue pésima, solo por mensaje, Juan Hoyos quien dice ser socio y director de operaciones únicamente al inicio fue amable en mensajes de WhatsApp de copiar y pegar, pero al momento de solicitar insumos que regularmente en los alojamientos deben de proporcionar su actitud se reveló, manifestando nula acertividad, pregunté por una secadora de cabello, una plancha y por shampoo, hasta ahora a quienes les he hablado sobre esto estamos todos de acuerdo que el hotel debió mandarlo y manejar la situación con profesionalismo, esto lo digo porque la actitud pasivo-agresiva de sus respuestas y de que obviamente nunca me resolvió favorablemente, me hizo pasar un mal rato y me amenazó tácitamente al decirme que me iba a reportar, ¿Cómo? Ni shampoo, ni secadora, ni plancha y además me iba a reportar la cuenta, woow, tan solo le dije que no me estaba resolviendo que solo necesitaba esas cosas, sencillo era decirme que en ese momento no podía pero que nos mandaba inmediatamente mañana, o algo no sé, se nos han ocurrido tantas opciones y no es obligación del huésped resolverles todo, aún así lo tuvimos que hacer por nuestra cuenta. Además, las áreas comunes están pegajosas, la cocina huele a basura, la estufa está llena de cochambre, los refrigeradores apestan de lo sucios que están, una botella de vino de la mesa principal lleva ahí los 4 días de mi estancia. Terrible, no se queden aquí, yo no lo volveré a hacer.

- Natalie (7/5): Good value for money - Our room was very clean and spacious. The staff were also very kind and helpful. The location was quite handy, as it is located between Centro and Colonia Americana and is walking distance from both. Having the water filter in the kitchen was a bonus. Unfortunately we were given a ground floor room, which was also located at the front of the property on the road (which is quite busy)- this meant that it was very loud, and difficult to sleep. Would recommend trying to get an upstairs room if possible. Since there is no air con the windows need to be left open for ventilation, and there were a lot of mosquitos around- it would be great if mosquito nets were provided to help make sleeping more comfortable.

- Jeffrey (9/5): Suites Chingón is a good value in a great location with an excellent environment for remote workers. - Breakfast was not offered. WiFi and location were excellent. Having a full bathroom en suite in EVERY room is a HUGE plus! The location of my room wasn't ideal, because the dining area was just outside my door, and the outdoor terrace table was directly outside both my windows. Although this meant that I experienced a lot more conversational noise than other rooms, it was likely unavoidable. The lack of any kind of a kettle to boil water is a drawbackSuites Suites Chingón could easily remedy, so I'm not sure why they don't !!?? Other guests often left VERY unpleasant and disrespectful messes in the kitchen, which does not say good things about them -- not sure Suites Chingón could do much about that. But perhaps they could provide easy-to-use cleaning supplies, better & larger signage to encourage cleaning up, labeled disposable trash and recyclables containers, and dish, hand, and paper towels for guests to use -- it would be a good start toward improving the kitchen, its functionality AND its cleanliness !!!

- Anna (1/5): I don’t recommend to stay there - There is water filter, so you don’t need to think about it Important: Most rooms in this house do NOT have windows! Here’s my experience staying in Room 7: 1. I booked one room, but when I arrived, I was given a different one—without a proper window. The “window” was just an opening facing the inside of the house. 2. People constantly walked past my room to get to theirs, so I couldn’t even open the curtains. This meant I had to keep the light on at all times. 3. No window = no fresh air. I had to use a fan for an entire week. 4. No window = no natural light. 5. I arrived on Sunday afternoon and asked why I wasn’t given the room I had booked. The response was, “Sorry, all rooms are occupied. We can refund you.” 6. The bathroom was dirty, and the water temperature was either freezing cold or extremely hot—no in-between. 7. No soundproofing at all. My room and the neighboring room were separated by a wooden door, so I could hear everything as if people were talking right next to me. Since both the door and the window faced the inside of the house, noise was constant. 8. The window and the door (which had glass panels) had curtains, but they didn’t block the light completely. It was never fully dark in the room, so I had to sleep with an eye mask. 9. The house and windows would shake as if it were located next to or above a subway line.

- Golembiewski (7/5): It was very good, great price, good location - The location was good only 20 minutes to the center of town to walk. Bus stop on Main Street. Lots of small places to eat. Accommodation was clean, kitchen with all the appliances. Room was a good size. The only complaint I have is the mattress. It was very firm and I could feel every spring. A 2-in Topper would solve the problem and it would have been perfect. I first had a room out front and it was very noisy. But I could switch to a room in the back and it was perfect. The internet is not great could not watch any movies on my phone. The room did not have a TV.

- Ian (7/5): Good location and facilities, but needs more attention from the owners. - Overall an affordable and conveniently located place to stay in Guadalajara. Rooms are a good size, Wifi was fast and hot water was good. Full kitchen was nice to have access to as well. Without A/C I don't think it would be very comfortable to stay there in the summer time. Even in mid-September it was stuffy at night. Ceiling fans and open windows can only help so much. If you are a fan of hard beds, then you will like it, but for me, I found the beds incredibly firm with little padding on top, making it difficult to sleep the first couple of nights. There is no on-site staff apart from the cleaning services and a volunteer person. When I first arrived, it was very late, and the self check-in information had given me the wrong room so there was already someone in that room.
- Bernadette (8/5): Great location for metro & restaurants - Great location near Refugio metro station, good bars & restaurants nearby. Room clean and hot water in the shower, access to shared kitchen Room no. 1 is ground floor, small and very hot, even with the fan. Upstairs rooms look better
