Guest Reviews
- Aali (1/5): Was NOT as expected! - The living room was cozy and the heating system was great as the weather cooled down at night so we needed to use it. The lawn in the backyard was nice and spacious. We were surprised when we stepped into the house as we discovered that there were so many things that weren't shown in the photos online.
The house was not cheap to rent so we were quite disappointed when we found that it was not clean at all, there was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The dust was so bad that we got rashes on our body and our hay fever was flaring up the whole time we were there.
The bathroom door didn't close so there was no privacy and we had to stay upstairs until someone showered. They left us 1 toilet roll for 4 people for a 3 day stay which is a joke.
All the outside furniture was dirty and full of bird droppings so we couldn't use them at all. We couldn't even wipe or clean anything because there was no sponge in sight to use. We were shocked to find that we had to pay $120 in cleaning fees when the house wasn't even cleaned at all!
There was a Wii console with no working batteries, all the food that was left inside the cupboard was expired (some expired in 2012!). We had to buy our own things to clean with and use while we stayed there even though usually they are provided, for example, the hand wash bottle was filled with water and not hand wash! All the doors were old and worn so we didn't feel secure enough to leave our belongings without worry.
The annoying part was that the back door to the backyard was only through the bathroom so if someone wanted to go outside the other person couldn't shower.
Some of the bedding was stained and dirty. The dining table chairs kept shedding paint so we had to keep sweeping the mess even though it was not our fault.
There were no extra supplies of anything in the cupboard under the stairs like what was written in the blue folder. We couldn't contact anyone during our stay since it was a real estate company who was looking after the property and because it was the weekend our issues wouldn't have counted as an emergency.
