Guest Reviews
- Narelle (10/5): A Stanthorpe Gem - Everything! This beautiful cottage had everything we could possibly need. It was so comfortable and well-equipped. It had a lot of little extras that many places don't supply. We will certainly be happy to come here again. Nothingš
- Janine (10/5): -
- Ethan (10/5): Amazing accomodation so beautifully presented, I have already recommended to my friends and family. - Accommodation was beautifully presented with everything you could possible need. Fireplace was very easy to use and added to the ambience of our stay. Everything like milk, teas, coffees hot chocolates and mashmallows as well as cleaning products was abundantly supplied which was so thoughtful and made the stay so much easier. The hosts even left some lovely italian biscuits for us to enjoy. Such a great little cottage to get away and experience all Stanthorpe has to offer. It was all very impressive. Only concern was that the hot water did go cold while you were showering in the main bathroom for no reason and the sink in that bathroom seemed blocked and took awhile to drain.
- Shannon (10/5): -
- Michelle (7/5): A great place to stay with family. - Beautifully presented and tastefully decorated cottage. Very well equipped kitchen which was excellent for our daughter and son in law staying with 2 young children. Little extras supplied such as milk and pastries which was a nice touch. Comfortable living area and great outdoor verandah with barbecue. Fabulous location but still quiet. Washing machine and drier which was very handy for our 3 day stay. Mattresses on beds were extremely uncomfortable especially in middle bedroom and we had to put a folded quilt on top of mattress in order to not feel the springs. Main bathroom shower had very little water pressure and no hot water so we had to share the ensuite.
- Belinda (10/5): Perfect. Have stayed there twice now. Will be back for sure. - Perfect location and beautiful cottage with everything we needed. Beautiful inside and out. Very clean and comfortable. Pet friendly. Loved fire pit, big yard and undercover parking. Verandah with BBQ is perfect for entertaining.
- Stellios (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyable stay - Perfect location, awesome property and host Nothing
- Carolyn (10/5): -
- Joy (10/5): Gorgeous cottage - Beautifully styled, spacious, well equipped kitchen, wood for the fireplaces and even had marshmallows for a hot chocolate. Nothing
- John (10/5): Top class family accommodation in Stanthorpe - excellent! - The house is so beautiful! 3 good sized bedrooms, with the main bedroom having an ensuite. Layout of the house is excellent! The living and dining areas were a great size and the kitchen was modern and functional! Fireplace on the inside and a firepit outside - really added to the atmosphere of the property.
Communication with the host was easy and friendly. Location of the property is barely a minute's drive outside of the town centre.
Quite frankly, one of the best homes we have stayed in Stanthorpe! Nothing - everything was great!
- gary (9/5): Amazing cottage in an great friendly town - Clean, great facilities. Bedrooms fantastic and so comfortable. Everything was great Nothing
- Julia (7/5): Perfect location - Beautiful property, well furnished and beds were comfy with electric blankets for the colder weather. I think it needs reverse cycle aircon in the bedrooms or heaters as it was very cold especially in the mornings
- Lisa (10/5): Cute little cottage with lots of charm - The cottage was so clean and we were pleasantly surprised at how well presented and tastefully renovated it was. The hosts attention to detail made you feel welcome and comfortable for a perfect weekend getaway. We will sure stay here again next time.
- Julie (9/5): Beautifully appointed, cosy, well equipped home away from home. - This is a gorgeous house with beautiful decor. Itās fitted with everything you could need, attention to detail is next level, even had marshmallows for the fire pit! Plenty of tea, coffee and dishwasher tablets. Cordless phone chargers at every bedside. Beautiful fireplace with plenty of wood, fire starters and lighter supplied. Has a gorgeous deep bath and rain head shower. Webber on the large deck. Easy 15 min walk to town centre. Friend said the second bed was hard.
- scooterviv (10/5): Beautiful cottage, very romantic sitting in front of fire. great linen - No breakfast included A ramp at the back, and more firewood, it was winter and we had to buy our own, also milk left in fridge was out of date.
- Anna Ching Yi (8/5): -
- Kym (10/5): -
- Micaela (10/5): Was a wonderful getaway, we had the best time! - The Cottage was very clean, well equipped and freshly renovated. It was a bit cold with just the one ac unit, but we put more layers on and had heating blanket.

- Darryl (10/5): We has a lovely time and will book again in the future. - Savina Cottage is a very well located, well setup cottage. It has everything we could ask for. It was spotlessly clean. It is fully fenced and very dog-friendly. Nothing!
- Sue (10/5): Beautiful renovated home - Beautiful newly renovated home close to the centre of town. So well presented and immaculately clean! The full kitchen with a range of helpful grocery items was great. Loved the marshmallows! The double covered garage was also a bonus in rainy conditions. Would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay again in the future.
- Cate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Location was peaceful. Enjoyed autumn colours of trees. Easy access to mountain bike tracks for grandchildren. Grandchildren enjoyed roasting marshmallows outside. Enjoyed ascetics of the tastefully decorated cottage. Bath tub was a hit with everyone. I needed to use my shampoo conditioner and soap for the bath tub as hand basin and shower had them but were locked in place for basin and shower use only.
Could do with some coasters for outside verandah table.
Only one match left. Fortunately I had some with me.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Savina Cottage is beautifully renovated, quality linens, quality local bathroom lotions its a lovely home!
We had our Jack Russell dog with us along with my parents for a short stay in Stanthorpe.
The house is Close to town for supplies, nice street to walk the dog & a good size yard for our dog to have some outdoor time however the fence is off the ground level (quite a bit) a small dog can easily get out of the yard, mentioning as it may be an issue for some dogs.
We watched our dog while in the yard to make sure he didn't go under the fence to explore further a field.
We plan to return to Stanthorpe this year, we would stay here at Savina Cottage again if its available at the time!
We made one suggestion for feedback for the host to replace atleast 2 of the frypans with Tefal or other quality non stick frypans!
One or 2 more saucepans would also help for meal preparations for groups or families wanting to cook a complete meal as the Kitchen is lovely as is the outdoor seating area, we would of liked to have shared a meal as a family out on the deck before leaving!
There is always a next time!

Having cars under a car port was also fabulous; a bit too cold to be by the outdoor fire pit sadly; The beds were comfy and the added touch of an electric blanket for Brisbane folk was sooo good! Our host was obliging and easy access to house via key lock was great. Everything was great
- Alison (10/5): Charming Cottage for a Family Vacation - It was cozy and charming. A real little gem. The only place I want to stay at when we come to Stanthorpe.
The cottage was cozy and warm during our winter stay with plenty of heaters and electric blankets plus a fireplace which was well stocked with firewood. We had all the conveniences of a home away from home. We even had a fun night playing some of the board games available there. They thought of everything you could possibly need on a vacation. I highly recommend this place. Nothing. The only thing missing was extra bin bags but that is nothing.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (9/5): Fantastic stay in this super comfortable renovated house in quiet street near tcentre of Stanthorpe - Savina CottAge is a superb super comfortable newly renovated character home stacked with facilities, wonderful wood-fired low combustion heater with plenty wood, located in a quiet street close the town centre. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Nothing
- Melanie (9/5): Beautiful fully equipped cottage, perfect base for families to explore the granite belt region - We arrived in Stanthorpe on a cold winters afternoon and we were warmly welcomed with the fire going and some sweet treats on the kitchen bench. Property is beautiful - exactly as pictured and immaculately clean. It was equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of wood provided to keep the fire going. Kitchen is fully equipped so we could cook our own meal one night. Games cupboard and Netflix on tv to keep us all entertained while cosying up around the fire Very minor - smaller bowls for eating breakfast cereal
- Phillip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glancy (10/5): A relaxing break - Wonderful accomodation, clean, everything u could ever need available It was perfect š
- Liz (10/5): Exceptional - The furnishings were done well, great location, loved fans in toilets, marshmallows and drinking chocolate in the pantry etc, etc. Could have done with more t.towels.
- Hollie (10/5): Clean, comfortable and accomodating. - Clean, tidy and had everything we needed to feel at home.
- Margie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - The fireplace, the firepit, the open layout and the kitchen had everything in it what we needed. Very well thought of. And very clean overall There was a dirty pan in oven and the top bed sheet was round the wrong way so couldn't fold over. The other double bed, the other couple said was small. But not major problems that wouldn't get us back again.
- Adrian (9/5): Relaxing and comfortable. - The property was exactly as described Nothing
- Peter (9/5): It was a delightful place to call home after exploring. - Well appointed. Lots of light. Lots of wood for the fire. Chocolate and marmellows. Lovely soft soaps etc. High step at back door from grass to first step.
Lack of coffee table in lounge area - front door not used during trip but lounge room was so plenty of space for one.
Quality of electric blanket in main bedroom not strong yet nights cool.
No heating in second bathroom, not even wall mounted heater.
- Vyvyan (10/5): The property was spotless, comfortable and very well appointed. - NOt applicable
- Casey (10/5): Excellent holiday home for a stay in Stanthorpe - Loved the small touches, treats left on arrival, lots of creature comforts and it was incredibly clean! Beautifully renovated, good beds, one of the best holiday houses I have stayed in There is some construction happening next door on a vacant block so we were affected by noise Friday afternoon and Monday morning
- Roz (10/5): Exceptional - The fire pit was everything Not one thing.
- Pamela (10/5): Loved our stay would definitely stay here again - Beautiful home with added bits of luxury Nothing
- Linda (8/5): Relaxing. Open fire, bottle of port from the winery in our jammies. Perfect - It felt just so clean and bright when we walked in the door.
Freshly painted in a lovely Hamptons vibe This is only very minor.
But there was no bread knife for our fresh sourdough loaf.
My other suggestion would be an inside door mat at the back door. We had rain and got soaked from the car to the back door and then walked wet footprints into the hall.
Minor stuff, it wouldnāt stop me from rebooking.
- Stacy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Owen (9/5): Superb - All the added extras - 1L fresh milk, chocolate powder, big spray, mozzie coils, umbrella, Italian treats.
- Cass (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely renovated queenslander. Well set up by the hosts, had everything we needed for a shirt stay. Nice and close to the main street and easy to get to other areas of interest in the area with a drive.
- Tatiana (10/5): We had a fantastic relaxing 3 night stay and will be back in June - Location is very convenient and close to the main street of Stanthorpe but in a quiet neighbourhood , the house was beautiful and spotlessly clean , but also perfectly appointed with everything you need including board games and books , even a BBQ on the large deck along with an outdoor table setting and a fire pit outside Everything was more than we expected
- Julie-anne (10/5): Suited us perfectly. Very comfortable. Near new. Great location. - Contemporary renovation with all the amenities. Didnāt use them but combustion stove and fire pit will be great in winter. Fans in all rooms and air con great for summer. Kitchen well set out with everything you need for self catering. Very easy to use bbq on the deck. Everything functioned as it should. TV took awhile to warm up, screen distortions when first switched on. Heating light in ensuite but no underfloor or heating evident in the second bathroom could make it cold in that bathroom in winter. Alarms went off briefly for no reason when we were watching TV. Could have been a test. Nothing appeared to set it off. Very brief loud noise.
- Elizabeth (9/5): A lovely and pleasant place to spend a few days. - The house was very comfortable and attractive and very well-equipped. The garden is very new and will no doubt look not quite so stark when plants have grown.
- Gia (9/5): Lovely house, very clean and comfortable. -
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Jodi (10/5): Very relaxing and pleasant stay. We loved the clean fresh feel of the cottage. - Loved all the little extras. Very well appointed. Nothing. It was lovely.
- Michael (10/5): A wonderful home away from home - will definitely be back! - Clean, comfortable and homely Nothing
Not a dislike but just a note to say to add a tea towel in the kitchen to dry dishes when washing up instead of using so many paper towels šš¼
- Katherine (10/5): It was perfect for our trip. - It was a beautiful home, comfortable and clean. There was nothing to dislike.
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Milla (8/5): Very good - Very clean house, great location, comfy beds. Toys and board games were great for the kids. Canāt really use the spinning function of the washing machine.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Petersen (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed - Code was sent the day before. All good
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (10/5): Excellent location and modern renovated home - Good location, quiet, close to town Lounge area seating was a bit limited for 4 adults. But good quality and comfortable
