Guest Reviews
- Jeanette & Giulio (5/5): -
- Eugene (7/5): - A microwave oven
- Grant (8/5): Suited my needs perfectly, and it was a damn sight better than the Begonia City Motel in Ballarat ! - Very comfortable and clean. N/A
- Zoe (7/5): Great price for a stopover to Adelaide - Great price and clean. The chickens were fun for the kids.
- Robert Geoffrey (6/5): Won't recommend or return to this motel - Kitchen was not clean at all.
- Ravi (8/5): -
- DK (7/5): - Room was clean. This stay is out of town but not too far. It is very basic but clean and comfortable for the one night. It is a little dated.
- Lance (7/5): -
- Maggie (8/5): -
- Kerry (6/5): Comfortable for overnight stay - Good value and the town was awesome. Very dated.
- Kerry (8/5): Very basic. - It was clean First impressions- the garden looked terrible. If we hadn’t pre- booked I think we would have gone elsewhere. It was not inviting at all. The facilities were very basic.
- Wendy (6/5): Comfortable for an overnight stay on our way to another town. We don’t expect 5 star in a - The motel is very old but it was clean and comfortable. It is out of the town a bit so needed to drive in to town to get food. The first room we had (we stayed 2 nights, not consecutive) the curtains were very old with holes in them and the tv was very small.
- Katherine (7/5): A place to lay your head - Available Very old
- Helen (8/5): It’s certainly not the prettiest motel to look at but the room was very clean and comfortable - Manager was friendly room was very clean It’s an old property. I think you could clean the chook pen!
- RICHARD (5/5): Acceptable - Room was well appointed The lawns at the Hotel and surrounds could do with a lot of tiding up . The shower curtain mouldy at the bottom. Just a little dated ,top of shower was very dusty including window sill in bathroom
- Betty (8/5): -
- Susan (7/5): Probably won’t stay there again. - You could feel the springs in the mattress. Very aged. Fridge rattled all night.
- Jenny (10/5): - I LOVED staying at
- Trigg (8/5): -
- Rosemary (10/5): - It is really quiet even though it's on a main road. Safe enclosed area for the kids to play. Games room a bonus and very welcome with three boys who love playing pool. Clean as a whistle, spacious and very comfortable.
- Gavin (7/5): Clean and quiet room. Good for one or two nights. - Easy check-in. Friendly staff. Clean room. Quiet location away from the highway. Easy access to Dimboola township. Would have been good if the room had a microwave oven and crockery and cutlery.
- Disney (1/5): Over priced and disgusting. - The location was good, and in good distance to the Town Centre. Upon arriving I went to the front desk and the person there was more interested in his phone than talking to me, No welcome and just told me keys are in the room around the back. As I drove through, the first impression is that it is run down and in much needed repairs. The room was very dated and old, shower was dirty and there was an old lawn chair as a bedside table. The Recreation Area was dirty and the dish cloth and towel were discussing, it smelled like old grease and dirt in there, not an idea for a family. The pool area is totally unsafe, with no safety rails for getting up the stairs or into the pool itself. The pool area was dirty and the pool was slimy and there was a garden chair in the pool itself. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone until it has a major upgrade.

- Nicky (6/5): -
- Christine (4/5): Adequate but sub par. - No breakfast, nothing to heat food with. No microwave. A toaster but broken knob and no cutlery except teaspoon.
Close to town, but too far to walk. Quiet area but road traffic loud at times.
Bed comfortable. A microwave to heat food would have been good. Some cutlery, A plate or two would also have been good. Real milk or option to purchase would be appreciated.
- Laurence (10/5): -
- Naomi (8/5): Good value for a night on the road - A clean comfortable motel, refurbished but still with the old bathroom and fixtures. Nothing fancy but good value for a night on the road. Pet friendly.
- Bronwyn (6/5): Good for the price - Easy to book in on arrival
Good to have access to a washing machine! I had to shower in about 3cm of water, as did my friend in another room. The water was too slow to drain.

- Karen (8/5): Thankful for a pet-friendl budget place to stay halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide. - One night stopover with my dog in late March, noone else was in my building so I could take my dog out to toilet anytime without worrying about bothering anyone. Late, last minute arrival was assisted without a hitch. Clean bedding, A/C, tv. Pet-friendly. I had to clean the air-conditioning filter, it was full of dust. A few millipedes inside were a bit off-putting but i know they are not dangerous. I was anxious about booking last minute so tried to call but noone picked up the phone and the phone number provided was an overseas number. I did eventually get an email response. Till then I was quite anxious driving at night from Adelaide wondering if I would have a place to stay with my dog. Facilities a bit run down and room quite small, fridge tiny, no microwave.
- Graham (7/5): Friendly welcome - you get what you pay for? - Old but OK value Noisy a/c & fridge
- mark (10/5): no hassles - plenty roomy, facilities good, very clean comfortable bed
- Maria (8/5): -
- Davod (8/5): A good choice for a short stay where the immediate environment is unimportant. - Though quite an aged motel, it had been well maintained and was freshly painted. It was large (3 blocks) but no garden. Its location outside the town, without dining facilities was unfortunate, tho the block we were in was shielded from any road noise. A good choice for an overnight stay, clean, adequate, and with a comfortable bed. The grounds were somewhat barren, though the entrance inviting.
- Anne (7/5): V satisfied given the rate. - Very friendly and it was a convenient location.
- Penny (2/5): Awful - Didn’t order breakfast. The rooms are really old and dated, the bathroom was disgusting. The tiles in the shower looked really dirty and we did not shower. The towels were very old and could do with new ones. The chairs in the room were stained and filthy. Could just go to the tip.
- Carol (7/5): - Room was clean Landline was not working and no mobile number provided on website
Really no facilities could do with a microwave on the room
Only mugs and teaspoons provided
- Graham (3/5): Would not stay here again - Bed was comfortable Phone - they don’t answer phones or return calls when messages left
Room - very dirty, dead bugs in cupboards and window ledge. Shower absolutely filth. Shower no water pressure at all.
- Chris (8/5): Comfortable, inexpensive place to rest - Easy to get to, good showers It was very neat but dated so someone who is worried about aesthetics may not appreciate it. We were very comfortable
- Skye (7/5): Clean and economical for a family - Polite and friendly greeting on arrival, easy check in. Clean and comfortable. Quiet at night. Air con worked great. Dimboola is a fabulous small town with a big personality. The perfect halfway point between Adelaide and Melbourne and definitely worth the stop over. Mattresses a bit firm for my liking.
No wifi password listed in the room (or any other info). Office was closed once we noticed and noone answered the phone so couldn't use wifi.
This is a small, regional motel. Don't expect a luxury resort. Yes, it's a little outdated, but it's a convenient, clean, friendly place to spend the night.
- Paris (6/5): -
- Frank (5/5): -
- Bill (5/5): - clean, electric blanket shower water was very difficult to get correct temperature.
- Craig (6/5): -
- William (6/5): -
- Darren (9/5): -
- Rochelle (7/5): Great value for money if comfort and cleanliness is more important than modern and bright. - Easy check in. Beds were very comfortable. Mattress, pillows, linen and blankets very clean. Electric blankets. New split system heater/ cooler. Just off highway so location is convenient. All the basics. Clean. Do yourself a favour and go get dinner at the pub - food and service were excellent (it was AFL gather round weekend and they were slammed, but they were still so accommodating) Rooms are old (unopenable wooden window with wood rot, cobwebs in between screen and window), old fashioned bathroom.
- Vicki (5/5): Desperate for accommodation and this was the only option - It was a bed to sleep in Poor presentation
- Simon (10/5): Friendly, cosy motel with good facilities and swimming pool. - Really clean room, comfy bed, good bathroom, good swimming pool, kitchen on site, helpful friendly staff, good wifi and TV. It's out of town, not walking distance, so you have to drive into town.
- Luke (9/5): - Out of town, but 24/7 taxi close by. Very good for price especially for gather round afl where everyone puts up prices but not this place. Will stay again Nothing, very clean
- brian (7/5): - The Motel is well away from major highway, which made it quiet at night. Good for sleeping.
It is situated just on the edge of town, a short drive to shops, and restaurants. Bed was comfy, but did sqeak a little when you rolled in bed.
Being an older property it could do with a bit of an upgrade.
- Johns (6/5): -
- Kerry-anne (6/5): It’s good for a quick overnight stay - Was good for an overnight stay. Bed was comfortable. The shower was broken and water squirting out the top everywhere and there were a few bugs throughout the room .
- Allison (7/5): -
- Lorraine (6/5): -
- Kirsten (7/5): Although it was run down, it was clean and as a stop over I would stay there again. - I liked the price, staff friendliness and old school motel feel. The room was big enough and comfortable. We used the kitchen. It was very good. The place was a bit run down and could be improved. It took us a few minutes to wiggle the door to lock it when we went out. But we always felt safe there. We played pool but the cues were old and wrecked so it was a funny game to keep us entertained.
- Erlinda (9/5): Fair - Serenity Far from everything
- Kim (6/5): - It was lovely and clean The bed kept me awake , it creaked so loudly everytime one of us turned over
- Mark (5/5): -
- Reilly (5/5): Reasonably priced accommodation with basic facilities. - This location suits me, its quiet with no trucks passing at all hours. Plenty of room for parking. Has a basic kitchen. The staff always appear happy.
It's a very basic stopover between Adelaide and Melbourne. Im worried about the poor chooks, does not look like a suitable coop. Air cons are old and noisy. Lace curtains in many rooms have holes. Not all rooms have small table/chairs. Old bath towels. The beds are average, however fine for a night.
- Vicki (7/5): -
- Danielle (8/5): Cheap and fit for purpose - Value for money. Free Wifi. The bed was hard.
- Olivia (7/5): Quiet location - Clean and convenient as a halfway point from Melb to Adelaide
- Chris (8/5): -
- Suzanne (7/5): - Staff friendly, room clean Quite at distance from town centre
- Jill (7/5): Fair enough for the price - Clean No housekeeping
- Howard (9/5): Thanks - Clean, comfortable, quiet, no fuss
- Hubbard (1/5): - There were bugs all over the walls floor and bathroom
- Biruta (8/5): -
- Janette (7/5): - Lovely staff who were great with a late check in.
- Noela (8/5): - Motel room was dated but good value for the price and Very Clean.
Staff member was friendly and helpful.
Shower was great with plenty of hot water and soaps.
The bed was really comfortable. Nothing.
- Brendan (1/5): This has to be t6he worst motel I`ve ever stayed in and I`m 81 years old., so have stayed in many. - Bed comfort and TV were OK. if you like mould, you`ll love the shower recess! There were a few cockroaches near the toilet, paint was peeling from the door, no flyscreen door etc.
- Janine (9/5): Good value for money - Good location clean
Need to update information in rooms
- Kathy (8/5): it served our needs. - The room was good but didn't have a microwave or a very big fridge. However we found the kitchen which served us well and we were pleased. a microwave. more crockery in the room.
- Allison (7/5): Good, clean stop over spot - From the outside it looks its age.
One inside, tge room was clean, no strange smells, had a fridge, kettle, toaster abd AC.
Everything we needed for our stop over on tge way to Adelaide. The showers water pressure was a bit lacking, but did the job.
- Ann (7/5): Clean - Clean Looks old and run down from the front
- Noble (5/5): -
- Chris (7/5): -
- Dwyer (8/5): -
- Mark (9/5): -
- Peter (8/5): -
- Gary (4/5): -
- Lori (5/5): - Staff were very friendly and the room was clean but very dated. Bed was comfortable. Facility was very old and in need of refresh, rooms was not well insulated and not much natural light in the room.
Pool was slimy and not fit for humans to swim in.
- Brett (1/5): Absolutely awful. It was a shit hole - I didn’t stay I drove away as the property was disgusting to look at outside. The building was falling apart and it was a mess. I didn’t bother to go in I just left and stayed at another property. The photos on booking.com are extremely old and the property looks nothing like it Everything. It was completely false and I was sucked in to staying there. I have wasted money and had to stay somewhere else. This place should be shut down or at least inspected and new photos taken so people know what a dump it is and not have false photos posted
- Caitlin (7/5): Lovely - Simple retro motel with lovely staff The chickens are not well cared for - they need a bigger coop, perches and a nesting box with straw
- Steve (7/5): Quiet and Acceptable - Rooms well back from the road Fixtures are very dated, but still functional
- HUI (8/5): - 就在高速公路旁边,很方便
- Manachanok (9/5): -
- Jo (7/5): -
- Phil and Sandra (7/5): - Room was clean and functional. Had all the basic supplies needed. A bit out of the way.
- May (5/5): - Staff was helpful. Mattress was comfortable. Sorely need to be renovated, part of sink was chipped, shower was old.
- Ross (2/5): -
- Tonianne (7/5): Quite enjoyed it. Didn’t notice stuff under bed till leaving so didn’t affect our stay. - It was a good place to stay. Not outstanding but functional. Beds need to be moved when cleaned as some items not belonging to us under them. Shower needed to be attended to.
- Reilly (6/5): - This Motel needs some love and new lace curtains.
It's clean and comfortable. Kitchen is a bonus.
So quiet. It's a good stopover Motel. It's just very tired and needs work. Water pressure, old noisy air cons.
- Tracey (5/5): Definitely would not stay here again. - Not too much to like but it was just an overnight stay and adequate. Rained overnight and I woke up to a leak from the roof dripping on my head. Not a very peaceful night at all.
- David (9/5): - Bed comfy, staff friendly Shower no pressure
- Therese (5/5): Good for a last min stay - Location and availability at last min Could do with updating
- Kevin (9/5): Great value and friendly service - Clean and bright. Welcome pool on a hot day. Great kitchen facility
- Darren (6/5): - Clean bed linen
