Coffee drinkers liked coffee too. If you drink black tea, bring it. Not widely available. We were totally happy. Our host and hostess were exceptionally friendly and helpful, but some restaurant recommendations fell short.

The peaceful, intimate setting, delicious breakfast, and exceptional hospitality from Cecilia and her husband made our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!

The rooms were well-appointed, and the entire property was clean, beautifully maintained, and inviting. As a solo woman motorcyclist, I especially appreciated having a safe and easy place to park my bike—a detail that made my stay even more relaxing. From the very start, Cecilia’s attentiveness stood out—she made the booking and check-in process smooth and seamless and continued to ensure I was well cared for throughout my stay. Her warm hospitality truly made the experience feel special. The location was another highlight, with everything I needed just a short walk or quick ride away: grocery stores, the beach, shops, and great restaurants. After a day of exploring, the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind—a wonderful added perk of staying here. Breakfast each morning was delightful, and the overall atmosphere was one of comfort, convenience, and care. Whether you’re looking for excellent service, thoughtful amenities, or a central location, Casa Magdalena is an outstanding choice.

• Henri (9/5): Beautiful and cozy stay in peaceful area in a perfect location - Beautiful house in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated (+ soft towels, linen napkins, complementary wine, robes and slippers). Morning yoga class included and was fun for us beginners. The staff warmed the jacuzzi for us and we really enjoyed it, it went well together with the cold pool. A total spa experience. A coffee station with snacks were provided, and the staff welcomed us inside for breakfast due to the relatively chilly mornings we had in November. The breakfast is minimal and chilaquiles, for instance were offered for additional fee. However, they made very tasty chilaquiles. We experienced a mismatch in communication regarding food allergies, we were told after reservation that they would accomodate to our needs, yet when we arrived there was very little flexibility regarding our allergies. On a positive note, we were offered more allergy friendly items for breakfast as time passed, which made us very happy.

The breakfast was delicious and Cecelia accommodated our early breakfast needs. The grounds of the Casa were beautiful, room was well appointed. 10 stars Room could have been bigger but it was ok for our needs

• Chris (10/5): A True Gem in San Carlos - We've traveled all over the world and stayed at all kinds of places and this is a top tier B&B easily. Check in was a breeze, there's dedicated, protected, off-street parking, hosts are fantastic, very accommodating and super buena onda. The place is gorgeous, its a true hacienda style house and with a pool, hot tub, fire pit, and rooftop deck with a hammock what more could you want? They serve you a light free breakfast by default but you can order more complete dishes a la carte at very reasonable prices. The place is located pretty much in the center of San Carlos but just far enough off the main road where outside noise doesn't keep you up at night. All this for a price we couldn't believe the value here is insane. We'll definitely be back Can't think of anything. Everything was fantastic!

Plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Super comfy bed, chairs in the room for reading, our own little patio area.in the big courtyard. Really quiet and very secure. I loved soaking 8n the hot tub after long days on the road. Great continental breakfast of fruit, yogurt, granola,.and artisanal bread. And hostess Cecelia was so welcoming!

• Mike (10/5): You won't find a nicer place to stay! - Casa Magdalena is an oasis in the desert, literally. Inside all is green and peaceful with a small pool for cooling off and a nice hot spa for warming up. It's only a few minutes walk to the main drag and maybe 15 minutes walk or a short taxi ride to the marina area. Michael and Cecilia are wonderful hosts, happy to help and offer suggestions. We stayed in the larger room and loved it, but the other 2 rooms are very nice also. There are cute decorative touches in the rooms and all over the property. Breakfast is light, French style, with excellent coffee, fruit salad with a bit of yogurt and granola, and a bread or roll. They will make much more substantial dishes for breakfast if you want, for a reasonable price--and given that it isn't so expensive to stay here, I had no problem with that. We were always up for eating lunch and dinner at the dozens of great restaurants and taquerias in San Carlos so we didn't want big breakfasts anyway. We came to San Carlos with some friends who rented a house nearby, and they were jealous when they saw our place. If we come back, this will be our first choice for accommodation.

• Karen (10/5): Delightful Hacienda Experience. - It’s an exceptional place - beautiful outdoor and indoor space with newly updated bathrooms. This is an incredibly quiet place to relax and the owners and staff are all charming, helpful and fully invested in doing whatever it takes to make their guests happy. Breakfast is included; a light meal with toast or bread, a small bowl of fresh fruit, OJ and coffee. For an extra $200 pesos per person, one can request a delicious cooked meal like Huevos Rancheros, an omelet, Chilaquiles with fried eggs and others. The property is adjacent to the golf course and has a very pretty garden with a fire pit, hot tub and swimming pool and a pretty little fountain. We could not recommend more. We actually stayed an extra night on our drive down from the US because we felt so safe and rested after our first night. There is secure off street parking available. Nothing.

Extremely clean and comfortable rooms and settings. Close to local restaurants and convenience stores. The highlight for me was the amazing owners and staff. From the moment I walked into the doors of the property Cecilia made me feel welcomed and at home. Her and Michael really made the stay perfect for me with their exceptional hospitality and for being such wonderful people. I’ve been in Mexico for 4 months and this was one of my two favourite stays throughout the whole trip. Thanks for everything! Nothing.
