• Tracey (7/5): I liked staying at Hotel Aranjuez. The staff was great but its dated and the shower area are a mess as water was sprayin - The uniqueness with all the trees and plants. It’s convenience to downtown Very dated and the statutes were excessive. I asked for a little more eggs for my breakfast as I didnt eat the fruits and they told me No.

• Thelma N (1/5): - Me cobraron 10 dolares mas de lo que decía la reserva cuando consulte el empleado dijo que era por el tipo de cambio de mi banco ,y se molesto,al dia siguiente me retire temprano por ende no nos daban el desayuno, pero si les pagamos extra con todo gusto nos preparaban algo para llevar,use la maquina de café se trabo no me entrego los café y tampoco lo pudieron resolver, en ese momento reclame ,entonces me re hicieron el cobro anularon el primer pago de 75 dolares y me cobraron 65 como decía la reserva, un desastre

• Nelson (6/5): Plutôt déçus... - Petit déjeuner correct. Proximité du centre. Parties communes agréables malgré le jardin qui n'était pas entretenu lors de notre passage. Le prix qui nous a été facturé est de près de 10 dollars supérieur à la réservation. Je ne m'en suis pas rendu compte au moment du paiement car ma réservation était en dollars, j'ai payé en colones, tout en ayant le prix en euros en tête... Et il ne s'agit pas de frais bancaires. Sûrement le taux de change qui est fortement défavorable au client ou une manière dissimulée de facturer plus cher... Ce n'est pas très honnête... La chambre est sombre et sent l'humidité. Absence d'isolation phonique.

• Sandra (10/5): Wir waren jetzt zum 3. mal dort und für die Ankunft finden wir es perfekt - Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit viel liebe zum Detail. Die Zimmer sind sauber und zweckmäßig. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und findet im schönen Garten unter den Mangobäumen statt.

Proche du parc national et de plusieurs sodas pour les repas. L'accès au déjeuner un peu plus tot, genre 6h30, pourrait permettre aux départs plus tot d'en prendre un ou encore ceux avec de jeunes enfants.

• Lina (6/5): A mixed bag - Artsy hotel with a great breakfast and nice staff. Well located in walking distance from a bunch of restaurants and the center. The mattress in my room was so firm it made my back hurt. The staff was kind to change my room to one with a more comfortable bed.

• Varela (1/5): Unfair currency conversion and poor transparency - The location is good and the hotel has a nice atmosphere. I had a negative experience with the payment process. My reservation was clearly in USD ($85.78), but the hotel forced me to pay in Costa Rican colones using an unfair exchange rate (around CRC 515 per USD), which is significantly higher than the bank rate (~CRC 462). I was not given any option to choose the currency, and as a result I was overcharged by approximately CRC 6,000 (~$13 USD). This lack of transparency in pricing and forced currency conversion is unacceptable and misleading.

• Jacqueline (8/5): Boa opção de hotel, mas escolha outro quarto - O hotel é bastante confortável, cama muito boa e banheiro espaçoso e sua localização é fantástica, fácil de acessar muitos pontos turísticos a pé, e numa área tranquila, sem excesso de trânsito. A área de café da manhã é muito agradável, e o café é bom. A janela de nosso quarto dava para o corredor interno do hotel(quarto 8) havendo barulho quando da movimentação de hóspedes,e, também, deixando o quarto facil de ser acessado por estranhos...

Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber das Bett war sehr bequem. Das Frühstück konnten wir wegen der frühen Abreise nur einmal nutzen. Aber wir fanden es sehr vielfältig. War alles super.

• Nadiia (8/5): Christian is a scam and will add his orders on your bill, stay away from him! - The place is perfectly located right on the gorgeous beach with a coral reef for underwater lovers and sandy entrance. The rooms are spacious, they welcome you with a free cocktail at the restaurant bar at the check in, you get a free sun-bed and towels for the beach and a tasty breakfast is also included. All the staff are very lovely, caring and polite. I believe it’s one of the best if not the best places to stay in the area First point - they never clean the rooms, which is very inconvenient being located on the very beach with lots of sand. The most critical point - on the arrival we were met by the hotel manager Christian (that’s how he introduced himself). He offered his contact info to help with activities in the area and was off to his multiple friends in the bar as they were watching sport games, sharing drinks and meals. We ordered a bottle of beer to go, as were very tired after 7 hrs drive to the place. The bartender offered to add the beer to the room bill, we said we would rather pay right away, so paid and left. Christian never answered a message and we arranged all the activities ourselves, spending only nights and breakfasts at the hotel. At the check out we were “surprised” with huge bill for that first night with lots of drinks and snack. It turned out that Christian told to the bartender add all his friends’ orders on our room bill! I can feel it’s a useful thing for him. That was extremely unpleasant to deal with. I suggest every guest to pay their bills right there on the spot to avoid such stories. I hope the hotel owner, whom Christian claimed to be his best friend, takes care of this situation as the reputation in hospitality is the key, i didn’t rate hotel poorly - gave a high score only as a courtesy

It also had a lot of areas to sit and relax in gardens. Location was fine and worked for us. Lots off places to eat nearby. Breakfast was a bonus and delicious. Our room was small and beds were very firm. Pillows were hard.

El personal era bastante tosco (pareciera propio de los ticos) 2. Mala comunicación entre los recepcionistas, se solicitaba desayuno pero al consultar al del siguiente turno no tenia registro 3. No se realizaba la limpieza pero dejaban registrado como que si 4. La televisión no era smart 5. La falta de jabones, shampoo y enjuague. 6. La habitación era excesivamente pequeña. Prácticamente el inodoro estaba en la habitación, no formaba parte en sí de un baño

• Bergan (8/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel - Initially we were not pleased with our room as it was dated and was situated right off of a main meeting spot for other guests. Over time we put aside the room decor and enjoyed the quirkiness of the hotel's decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were ample sitting areas throughout the hotel where you could sit and read or catch up with emails. Overall we enjoyed our 3 day stay at this hotel. The room decor needs to be updated.

• Alexa (7/5): - Le petit-déjeuner offert est excellent et le personnel est très serviable et compétent ! Ils nous ont aidé à planifier une excursion au volcan Poas à la dernière minute. Le logement est également bien situé. Le matelas était vraiment usé et inconfortable. Il y avait un creux au milieu. Les installations dans la salle de bain datent également.
• Angelo (8/5): - Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb der Innenstadt, ist aber dennoch nicht ab vom Schuss, so das man gut zu Fuß in die Stadt kommt. Die Zimmer sind relativ groß und gemütlich. Das Hotel selbst würde ich positiv urig bezeichnen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, wobei es immer frisches Obst, Brote, Kuchen und frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen gab (Spiegelei, Rührei, Omelett usw.) für einen Zwischenstopp absolut zu empfehlen
