• Friedhelm (9/5): - Ein gemütliches, verstecktes Häuschen nur wenige Meter von der lebendigen Hauptstraße des Örtchens entfernt. Alles perfekt saniert und modern eingerichtet, so dass für das kleine Haus alles heraus geholt wurde, was möglich ist. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Von North Berwick aus kommt man auch sehr bequem und günstig mit dem Zug nach Edinburgh.

• Elizabeth (9/5): Pleasant stay in North Berwick - Location great, close to shops, restaurant , beach! Great comfortable beds and quiet at night time. Everything clean. We No clear instructions for heating. Could do with simple instructions next to thermostat, so that no heating is wasted. We have stayed here twice previously, but never needed heating. Lady I spoke to from Coastal properties was very helpful and gave me all the information that she had.

• Didi (9/5): - Amazing location, good communication, very clean, there was a free car park around the corner (maybe busier in summer). Very comfortable with everything we needed 😊 The departure instructions may be slightly clearer if the section on rubbish was grouped at the end with the other departure items as I almost missed it - this was an extremely slight issue though, overall everything was great.

• Cupples (3/5): - The location, it was a lovely property when you walked in but wasn't cleaned just the beds got changed. After travelling for seven hours I wasn't impressed the property hadn't been cleaned which I took photos the beds had been changed but that was it not impressed

• John (8/5): - Very central, but tucked away and quiet. Well equipped if you want to prepare food etc Second bedroom very small, but for a short stay it is fine.
• Shirley (9/5): A brilliant accommodation, perfectly located and had everything we needed. Would definitely return and recommend. - It was perfectly located and very clean. Had everything that we needed. Comfortable beds and well equipped. Nothing at all, it was ideal and surpassed expectations.

• Tracy (9/5): Good overall - Excellent location for the High Street, bars and restaurants and so close to the beach too. Comfortable and quiet despite proximity to busy streets. The fridge door did not have a shelf for cartons or taller bottles so it was quite frustrating trying to prop up a large bottle of milk. That meant limited space for other things too which is not ideal when we had more groceries than normal because of the festive season.

• Mary (9/5): A great little property - Lovely clean property . Comfortable beds. Amenities good. Met our needs in size of accomodation (family of 3 ) Close to High St and shops. Lovely and warm , nice tasteful decor , felt welcoming and cozy .No dogs and no smoking allowed was a bonus ! Stairs a bit tricky...had to put the ironing board across the stairs to ensure our daughter did no fall in night Non slip bathmat had black mould on reverse.

• Tim (10/5): Well appointed bijou cottage. - Well appointed bijou cottage for no more than 3 people. Great location only steps from the High Street. Nothing.

• Zoe (6/5): Lovely house but we can’t have this stress again. - Perfect location, very comfortable, beautifully decorated The heating stopped working. Several attempts were made to fix but it kept breaking. We had to buy heaters which meant additional expense. The owners came out but they did not apologise. We were not offered compensation for this. Stuff were helpful but this was a stressful experience.

• Amy (7/5): Lovely house, just quite cosy - A really lovely, clean property just off the high street. Couldn’t ask for a more central location. The furniture was very small. I ended up sharing a bed with my son and my husband sleeping in the single as the double was much too small for two adults. Parking was also slightly difficult to find so I image it would be a nightmare in the summer.

• Denis (8/5): Very good - Immaculate little cottage in a great location. Exceptionally presented maximizing the space available. Tableware was a bit sparse eg only 3 forks. Kitchen space was limited when cooking main meals. Lounge seats were not the most comfortable. Overall perhaps more suitable for 2 adults rather than 3.
• Emma (10/5): Fantastic location, everything you need and lovely cottage - Loved the fact that there were cleaning items, grease proof paper, tea bags etc. I brought my own thinking self-catering, they never have what you need to clean up after yourself and this did In the cold weather, you could put the heating on so that the place is warmed up for arrival. It took a while to warm up and it was very cold to watch TV for an hour before bed.

Nicely decorated and well maintained with everything we needed We are a tall couple so we found the tiny sofa and small beds a bit uncomfortable. The location is in a close of tightly packed properties so very overlooked

• Kevin (9/5): Superb - Small touches such as washing up liquid, sponge, tea towel (which I had for once forgotten) and apartment all very clean and well presented. One very small suggestion (which did not affect the grade), so that the name board can be seen, is that the 2 Smugglers Cove sign is put in the front windows if possible, as we walked passed it in the flower bed and walked in a circle in the horizontal rain first time!!
• Douglas (9/5): Great location for a visit to North Berwick, with excellent acess to shops and restuarants. - Nicely rennovated cottage just off the main drag of town. Parking is a 5 min walk away.

Thankyou - Amazing location, close to everything; railway to Edinburgh, shops , cafes restaurants, buses and an amazing beach Easy layout of rooms , comfy beds, lovely bathroom. Information about removing rubbish from bins and days of bin collection. It wasn't clear if we were supposed to take outside bins to entrance ourselves. Bin collection days have changed apparently. Just by chance spoke to a neighbour who said his girlfriend was responsible for taking garden bins to entrance. This did not spoil our holiday , but clarity would make it easier.

• Gemma (8/5): Would stay again great location and managed to park close by every night of a 4 night stay. - Very clean and tidy place. Small but comfortable Neighbours came to house and complained about outside light and were occasionally noisy - could hear them inside their house when in the cottage when quiet but was not a problem with tv or music on. Took a while to work out heating but was lovely and warm once we had.

• Stephen (10/5): I'd say Smugglers Cove is 1% off perfect for accom, facilities and location. Nobody is 100% - Smigglers Cove is excellent. You cannot get closer to shops, restaurants, bars etc and the beach. It is very well presented, decor and facilities are up to a high standard. Noisy floorboards upstairs, Caused partner to wake up during the night for toilet. Intructions for everything, boiler, heating, iron, microwave etc but not hob. I'm 70 and have gas at home so not familiar with induction hobs.
• Anonymous (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House has everything required. Will definitely recommend it to friends and will be back to - Really well placed to walk to all facilities. Hard to find in the dark. Instructions need to be more precise, possibly a map of the area showing the premises on the instructions would help. Parking was a slight problem.

• Carolin (9/5): Lovely stay - Lovely and clean Appartment. It’s very close to the city. Fast answer of staff during the stay when we had some troubles with the heating. WLAN didn’t work. Hard to find the apartment. No parking in front of the apartment.

• Warren (10/5): Loved North Berwick and being in the centre of it for a week. - A small house located in the heart of North Berwick which I found is an enchanted sea side town.

• Heather (10/5): had a fabulous break in a beautiful apartment - EVERYTHING !!! the apartment was immaculate ant the interior design was beautiful it had everything you could possibly need , I searched a while to find somewhere central due to my back problem and boy did I pick well .. was less than a minute to the shops and less than 5 minutes to the beach , it was like in a small courtyard and although outside space was minimal we used it well we sat outside for breakfast and lunch everyday enjoying the sunshine the local neighbours were lovely and friendly , they even had a small washing line out the back which was great as we didn’t come home with bags upon bags of washing for once ,we parked on the high street across from the nisa local as the apartment is just the wee lane next to the shop , we dropped all our stuff in then drove a few minutes to the free car park at the local toilets , we only waited a few minutes for a space as people come and go , we will definitely be returning very soon was sad to leave nothing
