• Sonntag (6/5): Bad water, electric, Wlan ... supply. - Breakfast was ok. But we had to remember staff, that breakfast is included. A lot of technical problems: - no cold water. Always water ca. 40 degrees on both conection ( warm amd cold) - one day no water at night until next noon. - another day no air conditioning. - one day no WLAN. - another day no water at all. There were technical dificulties on every day of our stay there. We had the feeling the crew there were blackmailing us, to get some financial support. Just one exeption: garden is properly done. The housemaid ( Betty) is doing well. But she can't do it all alone. Because the technical crew ( electrician/plumber) is not skilled and also not trustworthy.

• Stephanie (10/5): This "absolute paradise" offers a flawless stay with beautiful villas and fantastic staff - I loved everything about this place. The villas are beautiful, with ample space to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The pool is fantastic, as are the staff who go out of their way to make your stay perfect! Bed was comfortable, upstairs lounge was great to enjoy the cool evening breeze. Super quiet and absolute paradise. Easy to get to and from with a Boda or TukTuk. Particularly loved having breakfast cooked for us each morning at the villa and housekeeping was impeccable. Nothing - it was all perfect! We were so happy here. The weather could have been better but the villa offered us the perfect shelter.

Dieser wurde zwar über den Tag behoben, aber Nachts war der Strom weg so dass der Kühlschrank warm wurde, technische Geräte nicht geladen werden konnten und es ihnen Ventilator recht warm zum schlafen war.

When we contacted the owners we received NO ANSWERS. With the current staff they agreed to change our room but it was the same situation. When we try to recontact again, they CANCELED our BOOKING on Booking so that we could not leave a REVIEW. Be advised with who your dealing with.

Очень отзывчивый персонал, но до пляжа не близко. Самое удобное ходить в Папа Ремо Заселение, приехали поздно хоть и согласовали это, парень на ресепшн очень долго снимал копии и сделал ошибки. Потом забыл передать информацию о завтраке. Остальное все понравилось и остальные сотрудники были очень отзывчивые

Servizio Lavanderia perfetto La pulizia davvero ottima! Siamo arrivati in mattinata presto, e la nostra casa non era pronta sono stati così gentili da farci appoggiare su un altra casa vuota e darci dopo la nostra Durante il soggiorno abbiamo avuto problemi con la Pompa dell acqua domestica, che più volte staccava e non ci permetteva di lavarci se non dopo l attivazione. La strada per raggiungerlo è dissestata, ma con un tuc tuc o anche passeggiando non si hanno particolari problemi. Le zanzariere presentavano dei buchi e in una stanza erano assenti, la sera poteva capitare di ritrovarci insetti che tiravano dalle finestre chiuse (spifferi)

• Joe (9/5): A little Watamu Oasis - Friendly and super helpful staff, beautiful and well equipped villa and the pool is amazing! It was very quiet and tranquil. They were a bit inflexible with late checkout, wanted to charge for a full extra night when we only wanted an extra couple hours. We'd have been happy vacating the villa and sitting by the pool so this felt a little unreasonable.

Fresh and nice breakfast at any time with nice and accomodative staff with Gloria in mind. A secured place with guards and property been well secured. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about the villa.
• FreeCops (9/5): Tutto quello che cercavamo - soggiorno confortevole, appartamenti spaziosi ben forniti e anche con aria condizionata in camera (che non è cosi scontata) personale disponibile h24. servizio molto interessante fornito dalla struttura è quello della "cuoca a domicilio" (a pagamento) dove una persona della struttura sarà disponibile a cucinare per voi ottimi cibi locali nella cucina dell appartamento. la strada che dalla via principale collega la struttura non è dotata di luci notturne, e dopo un certo orario è difficile rientrare a piedi.

• Bogdan (9/5): A pure east-African experience - A very African resort, nice, clean, comfortable and intimate. Swimming pool is excellent and deep enough to allow jumps. Kitchen was very well equipped and Anna and excellent host. A note about upper bedroom: it seems strange for Europeans, giving you a sensation of lack of intimacy and protection. Nothing far from truth. I spent 6 nights there, all of them excellent and indeed very unique and exotic. If you can choose I highly recommend the upper apartment! Location not very close from anything, but with tuk-tuk you can manage. Wifi relatively (relatively) good. Power outages were annoying. Sure not the fault of the resort but when 3 out of 4 villas have back up power you start thinking again who is to be blamed :). Of course, we drew the short stick! At leas an outlet for phones and lap tops charging should be fitted in.

AC was good and the hot water. Only down side was we had to go one a dusty gravel road (10minute walk ) to reach the property. You always need a tuk tuk for this. Profit who was looking after our flat and cooking our breakfast was very helpful.

There was no problem with checking-in early as we had to arrive sooner than planned because of bad weather. Breakfast prepared fresh at the time of your request were a nice touch. As our plane was leaving mid afternoon the staff was kind enough to let as stay at the area, even after the check in, until we had to leave for the plane. 5/5 would recommend.

• D.od (9/5): A wonderful, relaxing time - I really enjoyed my stay here, Rafiki Village is a stunning property and really gets you in the holiday mood! Anna the house manager was on call at all times making sure everything was okay and that I had everything I needed, she made sure a yummy breakfast spread was prepared every day and would only come and clean once I had left the house for the day's activities no matter how early or late. She was so nice and hospitable too. The villa is spacious but also homey and comfortable, the compound wasn't too full of other visitors so it was also nice, quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed dips in the very well-designed pool and I love that Rafiki Village is not far from many amenities. Very close to restaurants, supermarkets and the Watamu nightlife. Jaliwa - the manager made sure to have a tuk-tuk/cab driver available for me whenever there was a need. All in all, I can Rafiki Village was a wonderful experience and I will for sure be coming back with friends so we can occupy the full house! I did not like the booking process, whoever runs the booking.com listing needs to give customers an option to pay via Mpesa, esp those who are Kenyan. Bank transfers tend to be tedious and cost more when MPESA is a much easier accessible option.

• Elvi (9/5): Superb - The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable. You can ask the staff to prepare dinner for you in your own accommodation, which is amazing after a long day out. The accommodation is really nice, but small things like handsoap and cooking oil were missing. Some clothing hooks broke off and that made it difficult to put our towels somewhere to dry.

Everything was positive apart from 1 thing: it would be just perfect if upon our arrival we could receive a bottle of water each. Google maps will mislead you so get a driver who is familiar with the area. It is close to a mall. Property is very clean and well maintained and the rooms are beautifully designed with great attention to detail. Well equipped kitchen should you wish to make your own meals. Good swimming pool. Apartments are cleaned daily. Lovely and pleasant staff. Special thanks to Mr. Profit who was kind enough to take me to the beach (5 minutes drive), nearby restaurants, malls and do airport transfers. Such good value for money. I’ll definitely be back!

• Nguo (9/5): It was a good stay. - The location is very good. It's close to the main Watamu shopping center and a few meters from the all-weather road. It is close to essential services - Gas station, Pharmacy, eateries, and a shopping mall. One can walk to the Beach too! The lady taking care of the facility - Anna- is such a kind soul. She consulted on our breakfast needs and checked constantly if we were fine.

• Kang'ethe (10/5): I had an amazing time as I felt I received value for my money. - The staff was amazing, very attentive and responsive to our needs. Very friendly staff. An ambient place to stay, a clean pool, clean beddings, towels, and amenities. We got conflicting information about when the time the pool would be closed and so we didn't use it as much as we would have loved to on our first day.
• Gillis (8/5): Very good - Great rooms, pool and overall beautiful place. Just like in the pictures. The check in, there was no real welcome, or instructions on the house. I would recommend to leave behind some general info on the house & facilities as well as on Watamu and things to do / where to buy.
• Saruni (8/5): Amazing Watamu Stay - The stay was great with the staff being very conscious of your needs. The accessibility to the pool was quite amazing as you could swim whenever you needed that cold dip. The option to get a chef during the holiday was great as well It would be nice to access a microwave since heating leftovers is not always easy with an oven
• Steve (7/5): Good - Nice villa. The pool was great on the hot days. Upstairs open area was a great place to relax and read. Bed was comfortable and it was good to have air conditioning in the bedroom. Having a kitchen is good. Our booking was messed up, we returned from a day at the beach to be told we should have checked out even though our booking clearly showed one more night of accommodation. It would have been nice to have air conditioning in the living area as the ceiling fan didn't circulate enough air.

• Paul (10/5): Fantastic stay with exceptional staff - The village is beautiful and quiet with a great pool. super clean and comfortable with all amenities needed and very helpful and friendly staff. we felt like we had the entire compound to ourselves. We loved that we had our own massage gazebo to get pampered in. There were heavy rains at times which created a few big puddles in the road in to negotiate. the unit could also benefit with the addition of a microwave.
• Nicole (8/5): Very good - It is beautiful, cozy, relaxing and it matches the pictures on the website. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The Wi-Fi is terrible. The freezer is not working.
• Sterling (7/5): Good - The pool, and the ambience surrounding the resort No back up generator, once the lights went, we couldn't have water for the washroom.
• Solenne (10/5): Lovely stay - We arrived from Malindi and due to delays with our flights, we ended up arriving at the hotel at around midnight. The staff were very accommodating and even helped us get our luggage from Malindi the next day. The villa we stayed in was spacious and included a small kitchenette with a fridge, hob, toaster etc. The rooms were well furnished with teak furniture and nice accessories throughout. There was also a private terrace and some seating outside, with a view of the pool. The staff were lovely and decorated our bed with flowers and foliage from the garden! The staff keep the pool clean throughout the day, there is also an outdoor shower. The garden around the pool is nicely planted with local flora. The location is not great. The hotel is situated at the end of a dirt road, and it is quite far from the beach or the restaurants so you need to hire a tuktuk or taxi for every trip (around £3 each way).

• Scorns (6/5): Pleasant - The place is so beautiful, the villas and everything It’s really cute, checking in was amazing the guy who checked us in was so nice, the watchman really did a good job, the cleaners too. The lady in charge I think she’s the supervisor or something she was such a bug, all i can say is if you are planning to pay on checkout or even if you aren’t sure the amount of days you’ll stay please just forget about it. We wanted to stay longer so we made arrangements and before all of us could agree, the lady was already outside our door asking for payment. It’s the most annoying thing considering we had already paid for the first two days and you. She even showed up while i was in a towel. All i can say is paying on checkout will just spoil your mood just clear everything on arrival.

Big apartments with upstairs sitting and dining area. only few apartments which gave it a special and cozy feeling! Fully equipped kitchen and proper bathroom (so good) A bit far from the beach and a bumpy road to the place. Only a parking a lot outside the facility
