• Banan314 (4/5): - it was nice they provided a transport from the airport for me, breakfast was tasty staff doesn't speak English at all, there were mosquitos, even though staff gave me incense to get the insects away, there was loud music and I couldn't sleep at night

• SANNA (8/5): - L'hôtel est arboré et se situe au centre ville.Le personnel est aux petits soins avec les clients et comme il possède une grande cour,les bajajs(Tuk-tuks)et autres véhicules peuvent se garer.Endroit à découvrir.Il y a également un restaurant et un bar.Beaucoup de commodités à proximité. Rien à signaler.
• Stephane (9/5): - Emplacement assez proche des églises. Le patron est sympa. Petit-déjeuner correct. Le guide de l'hôtel Morges était compétent et agréable pour les visites des églises.
• Hailemariam (8/5): A warm welcome that made me feel like part of the family and created a truly memorable stay. - The location is very convenient, right at the center of all 11 churches, you can either walk or take a Bajaj to reach them. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a spacious bathroom, hot shower, and a beautiful mountain view. Breakfast was tasty, especially the scrambled eggs. There wasn’t much that I didn’t like, but the power was out for 24 hours, which made it difficult to use the internet. However, there was some solar power available for basic needs, and it also turned into a nice opportunity to relax, read, and enjoy the lovely sounds of the birds.

• Sean (10/5): Exceptional - Great value within 10 minutes of all the churches. Quiet stay. I hadn't booked anything in advance, but they came to pick me up at the airport to my surprise and helped me coordinate everything. I would definitely suggest staying here for a more authentic experience.

• Atsuki (9/5): Reasonable price good staff and location - Room is clean though it’s old. You can go out to garden directly from all rooms. Location is great. Lots of shops and stores are around there. For example, coffee,grocery,souvenir and ATM. All staffs are kindness. When you go out and come back, they welcome with their smile. Some outlets don’t work and water pressure of bathroom is poor but it can’t be help. Imagine here is over 2500m altitude.

• Solofo (10/5): The place to stay in Lalibela if you love real people and discover cultures. - Lalibela Hotel and Mr Getatchew are very welcoming. The place is well situated, 10mn walking from Saint-Georges church and Timkat procession is passing front of the hotel. This is a place for people looking to be with local Ethiopian people and who love to siscover their real way of life Nothing !

They drive you crazy and don't let you sleep. WiFi available but complicated to connect. Staff doesn't show enough efforts to help clients with that problem
• Stacey (8/5): A Little gem if you want a relaxed, budget friendly stay in Lalibela! - Charming budget hotel, easily reached from Lalibela airport by bus for 200BIRR. I was met and accompanied by a guide, Ababa, from the hotel. Rooms are large and quiet, and they catch the sun in the morning whilst having breakfast, with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The wifi was reliable for me too! The hotel is in a warm and friendly part of town with locals wanting to engage - and it has multiple ATMs nearby. Everything is within walking distance although tuktuks into the main areas are cheap. The owner and staff are genuine, helpful and honest and the food on request is delicious. The guide is also onsite should you want accompanied trips or hikes and as a solo traveller, I took advantage of this and was never worried or anxious about moving about the town or hiking. The rooms are a little tired, but for the price, excellent VFM. I highly recommend! Leaving...
• Qi (10/5): Exceptional - Easy access (shortcut)to St George church, good restaurants nearby. Staff are polite anx friendly. Room is spacious with functional wifi and hot water.
• Chris (10/5): Kindness matters in this place. - Firstly, Birjan, the receptionist arranged my transport pick up & return to the airport, facilitated for my tour guide & checked for any help I needed. During my 4 days stay, it was straight forward check in & out in a spacious bedroom & bathroom with bathtub. The bed is comfortable with clean beddings. I was amazed a bird knocked every morning to wake me up & hear more chirping of various birds. I felt the sights & sounds of nature so relaxing, heartwarming & closer to the Creator. Baladto was happy to serve the breakfast to start my day. Sitting by the terrace, I could see the greenery & the surrounding mountains. Also, the canopy of the churches & the Saturday market are visible which be reached by tuktuk in 10 minutes. Spoken with the Manager Getacho who offered me a free dinner. All these experience is good value for money. Need I say more? Nil

• Nils (10/5): Best hotel in Lalibela in every way - Close to Kana restaurant, stunning views in the garden, incredible staff, the breakfast and very close to the historical churches. They have a local guide who speaks great English and have incredible knowledge about the history. They even offered me dinner for the last night!
