• Dana (4/5): - Good location, very cheap, friendly staff Not really a hostel, more of a building filled with bunks. Didn’t feel particularly safe as there were no rooms, no luggage lockers, and the front door remained unlocked. The building smelled of petrol and bathrooms were not clean.

• du Rivau (9/5): - Personnel honnête et très sympa, qui m'a aidé a réserver et à trouver les bons plans pour mon étape à Labuan Bajo et la suite de mon voyage. L'hostel est idéalement placé, à deux pas de la rue principale et du port, mais dans une rue silencieuse.

• JB (7/5): - Very friendly and helpful host, good location - 5 min from the port. Water refill and tea were available Bathroom could be renovated. No curtains or doors in the dorm so there's no privacy

• Lana (6/5): Good one night stay before Komodo trip. - Very good location. Very basic facilities. Street food right next to the hostel was very expensive even tho the owner said it was cheap, but i think they ripped us of because we were turists.

• Peixin (9/5): - 位置很好，邻近码头，附近吃的也不少，商圈就在不远处，老板很友善 卫生间有些老旧，视觉上看着不是很干净，虽然实际上是干净的
• Eva (3/5): Buena ubicación con lo básico - Estaba muy bien ubicada en Labuan Bajo, a 5 minutos de todos los centros de buceo, restaurantes y bares. Te ofrece lo básico (un colchón y un baño). Pero merece la pena pagar un par de euros más por noche e ir a otro Hostel con mejor calidad. No hay puertas en las habitaciones, ni cortina en las camas, por lo que la intimidad cuando duermes o estás descansando es nula. El dueño y su hijo viven en la casa y no sé quién fue de los dos, pero fumaban dentro.

• Eva (8/5): Un chouette hostel ! - L'hôte est au petit soin avec nous et de très bons conseils, l'auberge est bien placée près du port et il y a les équipements nécessaires pour passer un petit séjour dans la ville pour un bon rapport qualité/prix Un peu de bruits environnants mais avec des boules quies c'est nickel 👌🏼

I liked my time there. Maybe a cheap curtain for the beds would be good for a little privacy. But it is just an idea

• Guest (1/5): Do not stay here - I would not recommend this hostel to any woman. I felt very unsafe and had to leave without staying the night. The owner kept coming to my bed and getting very close to me, touching my face, taking photos of me and messaging me on WhatsApp to borrow my stuff when I was out.
• Jean (10/5): - Cheap and good location, owner Chris very helpful and friendly. Don't expect luxury for the price, but it's simple and clean, AND you get drinking water. My bicycle was locked in a secure space. Could have more privacy, but quiet and comfi!

• Pascal (6/5): - Der besitzer war ganz nett Es hat drei achter räume die aber nicht geschlossen sind. Eigentlich schlafen 24 personen im gleichen raum. Der sohn des besitzers hockt vorne beim eingang im innenbereich, raucht zigaretten, schaut in hoher lautstärke filme und rülpst herum 😅 respekt gegenüber den gästen ist anderst.
• Georgia (5/5): You get what you pay for - a good spot to rest your head for the night but not much else. - Excellent location, so handy to access the port and town. The beds were comfortable. I know you get what you pay for. But they don’t have wifi, the water in the sinks don’t run, the bathrooms are pretty gross, you aren’t given a sheet or blanket. It’s located down a side alley and we were a little confused when we arrived and the owner told us to keep walking… we told him no we think this is our hostel and then reluctantly took us inside. There are no doors or complete walls, equalling zero privacy, this could be remedied slightly by putting curtains on the already existing curtain rails beside the beds. The big lights are left on very late into the night. I woke to the smell of cigarette smoke first thing in the morning.

The owners son is a smoker and sits inside smoking scrolling reels on loud, blowing smoke out the window, which is fine. But where my bed was the second time meant I was up listening to his reels smelling cigarette smoke right up until midnight when he went to bed

Bathrooms (toilet + shower) are extremely tiny, impossible to have a relaxed shower/personal hygiene. No privacy (curtain) in bed, the hostel is basically one big room packed with beds.

Per i servizi forniti il prezzo è troppo caro (no Wi-Fi, no colazione), in più c’è il coprifuoco. 🙃 (scoperto troppo tardi). Il proprietario non è particolarmente accogliente come pensavo.

• Simon (10/5): - J’ai été accueilli par Christ, c’est un homme gentil et qui sera vous aide pour rendre votre séjour plus agréable. L’hostel est aussi très bien situé !
• Guido (10/5): - The owner is super kind and friendly, he helped me knowing where to go to visit and where to do laundry, scooter, barber etc. Very nice the hostel and super cheap. So many backpackers in the place, easy to meet people and organise visit or fun diving day trip! 10 star to my friend!!!

I appreciate the time I spent getting to know him and the insight he has of flores island. I would certainly go back to stay at cempaka hostel again.
• Петроченко (10/5): - The main advantage of this place is its host, Kris. He can help you book a Komodo tour with a discount, recommend what to see in the town, and where to eat cheaply. He also helped me get crab and lobster at the market for a very low price.

• Caitlin (8/5): - Really nice owner. He helped me book a bus and when they tried to charge me a lot, found a shared car for me for cheaper. Lots of advice about what to do in the area. Make sure to get some chicken and rice across from the hostel for 10k!

• Kamil (9/5): - Chris was an amazing host. He helped us quickly organise a trip to Komodo Island. The hostel is ideal for backpackers for sure. Excellent localisation, close to the harbour. It was quiet during the night. For this price you get everything that you need. Maybe too narrow WC cabinets connected with a shower. Lack of WiFi.

Plus, everyone is really friendly and gives really good advice ! Thank you very much, I'll stay there again next time I come to Labuan Bajo 👌

And the water had to be switched every time You went to toilet, otherwise no water 🙈 so if u forgot you had to come out the bathroom back to switch it on Very annoying.....

Lo mejor es que el aire acondicionado funciona jaja, en otro hostel que estuve no podia dormir del calor. las instalaciones son humildes asi que leed mejor la descripcion antes de sorprenderos por eso, por el precio y ubicación está muy bien, muy cerca del puerto y el fish Market quiza el baño no es de lujo, pero cuando te acostumbras a viajar asi te da todo igual

• Maren (8/5): - I arrived very late and the owner friendly welcomed me. Thru out my stay he was very polite and interested. The hostel is simple with comfortable beds. The harbour is 2 minutes by walk, the main street is in front of the hostel. Quiet surrounding. I would go again :)
• Matan (6/5): A place to crash for 1-2 nights - Prime location near the harbor. Good price. Free water and tea. It took a while to find the place, located on an alley with no signs. Sometimes there was no water in the sink. The owner is obsessed with walking around the narrow hostel, and was mostly grumpy.
• Johanna (5/5): Only okay for one night or if you‘re on a really tight budget. - Cheap and very central. Clean. Difficult to find (not on Google Maps). Door is locked at 11 p.m. so you can‘t go out to meet friends in the evening. Had to leave a good conversation with a friend in the middle of it, even tough I wanted to stay outside with them…
