Guest Reviews
- Glenn (8/5): We all had a lovely stay - The communication with the host, The house was just what was required The towels could be larger and maybe a hand towel in the upstairs bathroom. Just a small quibble
- Beverley (8/5): -
- Susan (10/5): Fantastic for family get togethers. - The house was very spacious for all of us & the location was very perfect.
Very cosy & homely. The small yard garden. Felt it wasn’t child friendly.

- David (8/5): Great for one night - Spacious Doors did not close too well.
- Damian (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (9/5): Perfect for the split of people in our group - Very nicely laid out over 3 floors. A bedroom each and nice shared area All good
- Karen (9/5): Ideal location near our family event at the Exchange - Plenty of space in the house.
The house was clean and comfortable
- Farah (8/5): Fantastic stay, thoroughly recommend - Location was fantastic for us, kids could walk a short distance to a very good park and the promenade. Shop down the road and an amazing sourdough bakery 5min away. Bus's were also close by for us to go to Lancaster. House was nice and spacious for the number of people and we loved our stay. Could have done with more towels and a working tumble dryer. Both of these werent big problems but just with the number of children it would have been good to have the drying facility. Also felt extra bed pillows would have been good, the ones on the beds were fairly low
- Karen (7/5): We would stay again as vfm was excellent - Large property. Plenty of fridge and freezer space. Instructions left were clear and precise The single bed on its own was very uncomfortable - the guest had to move to another room. The outside bin was overflowing- we brought half our rubbish home with us.
- Michael (4/5): Disappointed at the lack of correspondence. - Clean The overall presentation was getting tired. We needed 3 doubles and the 2nd room was no more than a mattress on the floor which at 59 is not an option for me. The steps were too much for my Mum so we decided to go elsewhere. I wrote a polite email to the owner explaining it was not suitable for my Mum and the house was as she left it. All I expected was a polite reply but 48 hours on I am disappointed to say I have had no corresponds from her. That is not good business We had a delightful weekend once we found more suitable accommodation and would recommend Morcambe.
- Katherine (8/5): Very good - Comfortable, all amenities, good communication with proprietor, near promenade
- Julie (8/5): Lovely quirky home from home - Lovely, quirky home from home in a great location Needed more towels and some kindling for the log burner but they're minor things
- Gillian (8/5): Very relaxing for our needs - Plenty room Stairs were a bit steep.
- Ainsworth (9/5): Morecambe stay - The cleanliness was brilliant, the size of the property was great and Marie the owner was very helpful. Would book this property again. One double bed was low to the ground and in one room it was a single bed and a car bed not really what couples of an age want but we made the best of it and actually all the beds were really comfy
- Boyd (9/5): Great base , nice big house, clean & fresh - House was perfect & felt homely , we used it to stay the night before we started the Coast to coast bike ride
- John (4/5): Enjoyed time with family but local people, and lack of attention upstairs, made it less enjoyable - The downstairs was spacious and comfortable. Nine of us ate together and we had a lovely evening in front of a cosy fire. The room and kitchen were more than adequate for our needs. The outside yard area needed tidying up. The back middle floor bedroom had a mattress on the floor. The front middle bedroom door wouldn't stay closed and the bed was very squeaky. None of the bedrooms had anywhere to hang our clothes and I only saw one bedroom on the top floor that had a mirror. When there are 6 members of the family who are female these omissions were quite significant. Probably the worst thing about the property are the people that live in close proximity. Many of the houses have been turned into flats for housing associations and we encountered several people who were clearly the worse for wear through either alcohol or drugs. We wouldn't let our teenage granddaughters go out after it went dark. My 86 year old mum and husband left two days early, and my partner and I left one day early due to the lack of sleep. We were all on the middle floor. A bit of TLC, mirrors, clothes hanging spaces, and two new beds could make the place a lot more acceptable.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, clean and comfy
