• Jazmin (8/5): - La comida Te hacen sentir casi que no puedes tocar las cobijas, una minima mancha y te cobran, hacia aire y fue el unico alojamiento que no nos dejo abrir la sombrilla, por ende no disfrutamos nada la playa (todos los de al rededor las tenian abiertas) por el precio la vdd no los vale

Voor de helft van het bedrag komt het misschien in de richting. De kamer en de bedden waren erg klein, de badkamer nog kleiner, het zwembad was meer een dompelbadje erg klein. Geen ontbijt inbegrepen en dat allemaal voor een fors bedrag. Wij zouden dit hotel niet aanraden

• Carolina (9/5): Muy buena estancia con amigas - Las instalaciones, conveniencia del restaurante, el desayuno lo máximo es a la carta muy completo y rico. las camas muy cómodas, lugar para estar en la playa muy fácil acceso , la vista al mar del piso 1 no se ve tanto pero bueno esta de buen tamaño . el sofá cama que tiene la suite estaba muy duro no es tanto para dormir .

• Tony (3/5): Café Capuchino - Pues la ubicación bien. El desayuno estuvo bien salvo por un inconveniente. El agua estaba con demasiado cloro, al bañarse en ocasiones no se podía respirar, ardían los ojos con tanto cloro. Hubo un incidente en el cobro de un café capuchino, en el desayuno el mesero omitió cobrar este consumo, luego me estuvieron contactando para que efectuara el pago, les mencioné que en la cena cubriría este consumo así como el de 2 bebidas que consumimos en el área de la alberca, así lo hice, en la cena pagué la cena así como estos pendientes. Al efectuar el check out volvieron a cobrarme el café capuchino, les mencioné que ya lo había pagado en una cena en el restaurante, una persona fue a checar el pago, pero no podía comprobarlo, nos preguntó el nombre del mesero que nos atendió, pues lógicamente no supimos. En fin se perdió bastante tiempo con este problema, al final les pedí me cobraran los 60 pesos de capuchino para poder retirarme y no perder el vuelo. Me lo cobraron nuevamente y pude salir. Fue algo muy desagradable.

• ZeKrazyGerman (9/5): A wonderful experience - My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the location ideal, the room was spacious, and the bed super comfy. The restaurant had delicious food and we received a discount for being a guest at the hotel. We also took advantage of the beach loungers with drink and food service. All in all a wonderful experience. We would definitely stay there again. Can't think of anything.

Falta de atención en área de alberca y club de playa, no hay meseros al pendiente, aunque el hotel ofrece el servicio, frente a la playa nunca se acercó nadie a ofrecer servicio, en alberca si nos abordaron una primera vez y de ahi ya tardo mas de 1 hr en regresar el chico
• Michael (10/5): Best hotel on the strip considering the view, comfortable rooms, great food and all the amazing friendly staff. - Amazing view from our balcony in the 2nd storey, relaxing atmosphere at the pool side, great food and selection in the restaurant, 10 out of 10 for our main server Eduardo. Everybody spoke enough English to get by. Many stairs to reach the 2nd storey. Probably not as comfortable for people with walking issues. Definitely worth it for the amazing view! Higher cost but worth it!

The bathroom doors in the rooms are a barn door style which makes it feel like the bathroom is right in the middle of the room but it wasn’t terrible.

• Aikawa (6/5): Relaxing and great fun - The food at the restaurant is great and comes in large amounts. This place has the most amazing location! It is as beach front as you can get, with service to your cabana. I loved how it's not a busy crowded corner, so it seems quiet and no frills, perfect for a vacation. The food was great but quite pricey. The rooms were surprisingly small. They were stylish and clean, so perfect for a couple. For a family with small children, it was not ideal. Also, the pool and the bar were very much designed for adults. I don't think children will find an appeal for the pool, but the beach is right there so it's no issue.

La promoción de pizzas no la hicieron valida por que supuestamente era dentro de un horario, cuando en el pizarrón no decía ningún horario. Los meseros muy atentos sin embargo no te dejaban en paz comiendo si no que a cada rato iban a limpiar la mesa incluso se llevaron un plato que aún tenía comida, le tuve que decir que lo dejara y no había gente en el restaurante sólo eramos dos mesas y parecía que les urgía que nos fuéramos.

• Stephanny (8/5): La playa 10 de 10 - El hotel está básicamente enfrente de la playa. Dentro de sus instalaciones tiene una alberca en la parte de arriba, un restaurante con un muy buen horario. En la playa tiene camastros, sombrillas y camas, además de servicio de comida y bebidas. La ubicación de las habitaciones es rara, no solo porque están escondidas sino que no tienen ventana. La que me asignaron literal estaba en un pasillo de un metro o menos y la única ventana que tenía, daba a la pared de enfrente.

• raymundo (8/5): - Frigobar ,botanas dentro de la habitación, muy cómodo y tiene estacionamiento buena ubicación,tiene una piscina no muy grande con camastros Que piden $2000 de depósito a parte de la habitación y algo fuerte la música en la alberca que no dejan que metas agua o algún comestible por qué según te lo cobran por qué está prohibido por normas del hotel.

• Zúñiga (9/5): The quiet vacation I wanted - Both the staff from the hotel and the restaurant were very gentle. The view from the room was incredible, the food at the hotel restaurant was great, we got to try many new dishes. The service at reception was outstanding. Also the beach is really peaceful and the place is pretty quiet in general which make it great if you're looking for spend some quiet time and relax. The hotel also has many contacts for different types of services such as gym, yoga, massages, etc., which is a great plus. There was a little water leak in the shower which caused small puddles in the bathroom, the price mentioned at reception for the tours was not the same as what we were charged by the tour agency (it was more, and there was no warning that prices might change).
• Alida (7/5): Good - The rooms are nicely decorated and the staff was friendly and helpful. As I could see, it was the nicest hotel in town, this doesn’t mean that it was. The rooms were nice, but the building had many stairs and my room wasn’t easy to arrive, there is no elevator. I’m in good shape, but if you have mobility problems don’t book there.

The serving staff ( older gent) at the beach umbrellas/ cabanas when you don’t order enough drinks things get different.

• Jennifer (6/5): Nice place to stay in Progreso - Staff were nice. Location is great, right on the beach. The rooms are large and reasonably comfortable. One of our windows couldn't be secured and there was no safe in the room so we were worried about leaving anything valuable in the room. The rooms are accessible to anyone who climbs the exterior stairs.
• Laura (10/5): All we hoped for! - The stay was wonderful. The staff could not have been nicer. It was a great location with a beautiful view, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it. No negatives really. I would just suggest that non-Spanish speaking travelers get a translation app as many in the hotel and the entire area only speak Spanish. This is not a critique only a suggestion. Also if you transportation-ask the desk to contact Daniel…he was the best!

• Lovemizzou (9/5): Great location with a small pool and the beach right out front! - Comfortable bed, location was right on the beach with loungers, umbrellas and service, and very nice restaurant. It was a little loud at night and our friends room had a smoky smell (room 211) because the downstairs restaurant's pizza office vented right next to their room.
• Carlson (3/5): Inaccurate pictures on the web and uncaring staff - Ocean front property in a great location. Can’t argue with that. Check in was total confusion, your room is ready, no it’s not. Charge my card for incidentals and if I don’t use I get a refund but there was a charge to my card for using it for this purpose and I didn’t have any incidentals. Get to the room and it’s not ocean front, or directly facing as it looks like in the photos and was told the rooms were when I called before booking. Tell the manager I’m not happy about that and they are misrepresenting what is really available. He just shrugs his shoulders. Had to track down the maid to clean our room and get towels then she says she can’t clean it because they don’t have a key, it’s lost. We ask you mean someone has an extra key to our room, oh no it’s just lost in the hotel. We had to unlock the door and wait for the maid to clean and get fresh towels. Told David I was going to complain and leave a lower rating on n booking and google and trip advisor and he just says so go ahead it doesn’t matter. Totally lacking professionalism in the desk and management staff that we encountered during our stay. I would have stayed somewhere else had I known all of this before hand. So, I hope all of you pick a different hotel.

Water pressure was very low (one day we had no water for a while). Getting warm water took 5-7 minutes of run time. There was no furniture in our room except bed.

Not the biggest of rooms but well appointed, loved the beach towels in a wicker basket! Excellent restaurant and worth eating at. Staff all very attentive and helpful. Beach club area very nice, and service good here as well. Balcony was too narrow for such a premium priced room. Lighting in room was too dim

Our first room had a window that wouldn’t close in the bathroom so it was muggy but the hotel promptly offered us a different room that was larger and comfortable.
• Katherine (10/5): Best hotel on the boardwalk, we think. Would stay again. - Beautiful property right on the beach! It has a wonderful 2nd floor pool deck with loungers and an area with loungers and beds right on the beach with service from the restaurant. You get a 15% discount at the restaurant and sister restaurant, Almedia. Both were nice meals with great waterfront views. The staff were very professional and helpful. Overall a great stay.

• Dina (6/5): Decent hotel close to beach. - Proximity to beach Room was very small and shower pressure not great. Our room was on a side street 201, and it was very noisy. Food in restaurant was ok but pricey. Pizza was pretty small. We wanted to enjoy our beach or pool time with our own food and drinks but we’re told we weren’t allowed to eat or drink our food at the pool or beach areas.

• Liliane (9/5): Beautiful place - On the malecón close to everything. Beautiful views from the pool area like on the pictures; they provide towels; beach club facilities. Room has A/C, coffee machine and fridge. We had room 201 with partial view of the ocean. Will definitely return. Hotel has bar and restaurant on main level. Bathroom was small

• Vienneau (7/5): It was ok - Location Restaurant (restaurant closed at 5pm - first day we arrived was not aware) People who all greeted us where very nice Was able to watch english tv Nice size room No chairs in room Very noisy neighbours - late at night Dogs barking - late at night Seems you had to walk true the restaurant to check in - seemed weird (if you parked street, had to be careful of the one way street etc) Many Tiles in room where broken #208 Seem to be quite pricey - for what you get (weather was not that great so did not get to enjoy, most of what was offered) No little fridge in room Stairs are allot if you have sore knees (but used the bathroom on main floor restaurant)
• Margarita (2/5): Staff concealed the issue of lack of running water - Beach front No running water for two days, staff lied about it, and also provided misleading info about attractions nearby.
• Becky (9/5): Another Great Stay! - My fourth stay and the Scappata is still wonderful! I booked late (12/25) so could only get a sea view room that overlooked the pool, but as it was on the same level our view was the backs of pool chairs and we had zero privacy in our room. So recommend ensuring 3rd floor if you want sea view - otherwise just go with a street view room, which are equally nice. I wish they would have kept their beach chairs out later as we would have liked sitting there for the sunset.

• Samantha (9/5): Lovely resort with beautiful beachfront location. Hotel owner beach loungers with good and drink beachside - Fabulous location. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Nothing I didn’t like. If I had to be picky, it was weird that they didn’t have a drinks menu at the bar or restaurant.
• Polina (6/5): Nice place, wonderful staff but not worth the price - - Wonderful staff - Cool bohemian design - Beachfront - their kitchen exhaust/grill is right underneath the pool so it smells like grill/burnt plastic all the time and ruins the pool experience - Wifi was very weak in our room - Toilet was not functioning super well (had to push the fill valve manually for the tank to fill up) - There was a day when empty bottles, beer cans, and dirty glasses were around the pool from the night before hours after they opened it up - Beach chairs/umbrella set up was often late I realize some of these things are a bit nit-picky but trash around the amenities, bad smell affecting experience at those amenities, as well as poor quality of basic stuff like wifi, are unacceptable for the price they charge per night.
