Guest Reviews
- Matt Instance (5/5): - It was clean and tidy. Place was riddled with mice. But there is a plague everywhere. Just couldn't get any sleep mice crawling around I kept catching them in traps. Killing them annd then resetting traps for more all night.
- Peter (7/5): -
- Paula (5/5): Read for a thorough review - Want to be as honest as possible so future travellers get an accurate idea. We had a family room which was supposed to sleep 5 people. Needed to call the morning of travel to get lockbox details for the room but it was sent promptly. Also had a phonecall from one of the owners (they do not live in the state) to warn us of a mouse plague currently causing issue in town. She asked us to not leave food in the room which was easily enough for a few nights stay but would find inconvenient for a longer stay. She was also friendly on the phone. When we arrived the room did indeed smell like dead rodents. I understood that this is a problem all through town however the windows were unable to be opened to air the place out, there is no screen door on the room so leaving it open for fresh air invited the flies in. Perhaps leaving a can of airfreshener might be a nice touch for future guests.
There was a small, possibly double maybe queen bed that was springy and uncomfortable with two people in it, a single ensemble bed flat on the floor and a single bed with a trundle underneath. The trundle had a thin mattress and no bedding aside from a sheet on the mattress. There was a spare pillow in the cupboard. Luckily the nights were still warm enough to steal a blanket off one of the beds but recommend checking that bedding will be provided for the 5th bed. I am sure if we had asked it would have been provided on the 2nd night (was too late at night by the time we realizsd on the first night).
Furniture seemed quite flimsy and the cupboard shelf in the main room was broken, as was the small shelf in the bathroom for clothing. The shower head wouldn't stay up properly and the shower leaked water onto the floor and into the corner where it stayed a puddle for our entire stay as no drain for water to run off into. We looked for both a mop to clean up the water and a broom to keep dirt walked in on shoes down but couldn't find any.
- Mia (6/5): - The mice
- Victoria (7/5): Pleasant stay. As the iga is closed on a sunday on check in so need to be prepared. - Enjoyed staying in a room with the extra facilities, kitchen and lounge. Super hot when we arrived, took a while for the accomodation to reach a cool temp.
- craig (8/5): Would stay again - Convenient and contact Matt was super helpful
- eleanor (1/5): Need refund as I unable to stay - No breakfast We were unable to stay as water was turned off due to
Fault. We had to book into motel. Need refund. Room allocated very small. Would never consider returning here. Very disappointed
- Bradley (8/5): -
- Daniel (2/5): -
- Shane (10/5): Had a great stay and great hospitality - Great little place, good value and very clean
- Panagopoulos (7/5): Road trip stop over - Easy self check in
Room was clean
Great pressure in the shower
The building was clean Extremely small room
Fridge and air con were very noisy
The LED of air con brightened the whole room
- David (6/5): - Location was okay accommodation quite average eg shower cold tap wouldn't work, aircon didn't cool during hot daytime weather & windows didn't open
- Michael (6/5): Ok but disappointed with the bed - It was conveniently located approximately midway to my final destination and one of the few to allow a dog. Nice room with plenty of space. Unfortunately we could feel the bed springs which made it very uncomfortable.
- Michael (6/5): OK for the price - It was approximately halfway to our final destination, plus it was dog friendly so it was quite convenient and reasonably priced. Lots of appliances connected to power boards, some of which appeared to be quite old. The kettle in room 2 only boiled if you kept your hand on it and pressed downwards.

- Daniel (5/5): - It was clean and comfortable in a okay spot the bathroom was gorgeous No where to cook and no microwave either and the tv didn't work until we had to tune in
- Roger (5/5): fairly average - There was no breakfast. The bed was fine We arrived to find that the room had been booked twice, with other guests in it. After some difficulty we managed to contact the receptionist who gave us another room. The rooms had been painted but the painters had painted the doors in, so we couldnt get anything out, The first night was extremely cold with a cotton doona as the only covering. Consequently, I got a chill which I am presently dealing with. We got two heavy doonas the next morning, for the next night.

- Gia (8/5): Perfect overnight stay in quiet part of town. Would make a good base for a few days to explore region. Friendly town, ha - Communication & check-in procedures excellent. Extremely comfy bed. The heater was useful as it was cold overnight and decent hot water. Not new but well maintained & clean. Happy to have ensuite. Microwave in reception if needed. Went to the pub for dinner. Premises secure at night. Thin walls and able to notice other guests in hallway. However signs in the room to keep noise to a minimum were observed by everyone & I had a great night’s sleep.
- Husnija (6/5): - There was no heating in the room . AC unit seemed to be working but was not heating at all. Tried to contact the stuff on the mobile phone number provided, but nobody answered, and it was around 7 pm. I'm very disappointed.
- LEANNE (5/5): The place is run down and needs a bit of love. Garden also very over grown. - Rooms are clean Our first room lost power. The window had been taped up as it was broken. They did move us to another room which was good. This bed was much more comfortable and also had a new heater as it was cold. The only power point in bedroom is not near bed which is a problem if you have a CPAP machine.
- Steve (1/5): - Location ok but not Heather inside that works properly very cold in room Heater not on wall
- Alexander (6/5): -
- Dhruv (10/5): -
- Gary (8/5): - No breakfast but the location was good
- Steve (7/5): Good - All night a nice by fridge you can not sleep
- Pauline (6/5): Pleasant - The location, it was quiet area I will not give bad rating as there were unforeseen problems at the location
- Roger (1/5): Totally disappointing & would definitely not recommend at all. - The reception area was nice but no one on site for booking in or to help, other than by phone. Our allocated room didn’t have a globe in the only light fitting in the room. Pitch black.
We were given another room but told to take a toilet roll with us, as there was none in the new room.
The shower was unusable as the shower head hung straight down the wall & could not be even held up by hand to shower.
There was not even a tiny bar of soap for hand washing !!
Fridge was fine but only 1 mug in a room for 2 guests, which makes having tea & coffee supplied pointless.
- Val (9/5): Superb - No breakfast Need to check cobwebs in bathroom
- Heather (9/5): Everything we needed - very good location easy to find. mattress getting a bit old and springs coming through.
- Penelope (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shay (7/5): Good - Simple check-in and check out process.
- Natascha (4/5): In that region there is not much to choose, so you have to take what you get. - Late check in worked very well and the shower was nice and hot. The worst thing was the left over food in the fridge from a previous guest, which does make me question the hygiene standard of the place.
The room was super tiny, no place to actually have some food or hot drink (there was a fridge and tea/coffee making equipment though). Also there are bigger rooms available. Bed on wheels is not very practical.
Not sure if there was internet - access info was not obvious to find and no one around to ask (to be fair it is announced that there is no personnel at the premise and there is a number to call, but felt reluctant to do so in the middle of the night).
There was some very loud live music going on somewhere in the village till way past midnight and that robbed us a good night sleep. Not the fault of the place, but a sign of minimal noise isolation.
- Peter (3/5): Didn’t live up to any of our expectations. - Near to centre and clean No staff at all during our 2 night stay. No locks on front door. No lights on when we arrived. Had to phone for assistance. Only help was by phone to find room or lights. Very poor air conditioning. Bed moved if ‘you’ moved but luckily room so small it couldn’t travel far. Description provided on line regarding property or services bares no resemblance to reality. Not a ‘guest house’and no restaurant or food .
- Neil (7/5): Good - great location and very safe we could hear the shower in the adjoining room
- Rita (8/5): Very good -
- Glover (5/5): Only reason l booked l thought the restaurant was open which it wasn’t - Can stay at The Atrium in Mandurah with restaurant swimming pool and room service for less than thisplace
- Pam (3/5): We were glad we were staying only one night. Quite underwhelming. - Nothing. Better than sleeping in the car. Untidy exterior, poor reception by Deb. Not attended and only a phone number to ring. Our phones didn’t work in the area so we hunted around and found an unsightly backyard and a cleaner who gave vague directions and then took us over to find Deb.Excuses for lack of resources in room. There was no shampoo or conditioner. 2 teabags. Told to help ourselves in what appeared to be the office/reception area.
- Terrance (1/5): Very disappointing and uncomfortable Significantly different to website description. Would not rec - We paid for breakfast but there wasn’t any No breakfast no wifi. No chair in tiny cramped room. Very soft bed Broken fibro sheeting in bathroom No tea or coffee provided in rooms. Torn curtains and blinds in bedroom and bathroom
- Elizabeth (6/5): Pleasant - The location for wildflower touring was good. The room was a good size and it was good having an ensuite. We weren’t offered breakfasts There were no toiletries provided and the very limited tea/ coffee offered was eventually located in the fridge.
- Tim (1/5): Couldn’t leave early enough - Nothing Room double booked, no heater, fridge sounded like darth Vader, no commercial tv channels, food channel no picture, TOO many dogs barking overnight in the other guest rooms, VERY LOUD music till midnight, freezing room, black stuff in the bed, only one cup, 6 tea bags in the fridge not enclosed, no soap to wash hands
- Bruce (5/5): average - room was ok clean key to get into the building at night after dining out. room key does not open front doors. people were locked out.
- Knox (6/5): Very disappointing - There was no breakfast dinning room was locked Somebody unlocking our door at night while we were in our room. No service at all never had this problem before
- Glenys (8/5): Warm room, hot water, cosy bed. - It was a quiet location. Clean facilities. Hot water and a warm room. A sitting chair or two in the room for when having a cuppa. A reading lamp would be helpful.
- Clinton (6/5): Pleasant - It was comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Unfortunately our room was missing cups for the kettle and bathroom had used toiletries. I could of called caretaker instead there is access to reception where I located what was needed. Bathroom walls had cobwebs and floor a little dirty minor things but for the price your left hoping for more. Note there's no WiFi access and reception is limited.
- Susan (5/5): It is okay for one night stay - No clear information Okay
- Ashfaq (8/5): Very good -
- Beverley (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (6/5): Basic but pleasant. - Very helpful staff, food provision was great. Room was clean. The accommodation is in a process of renovation which hasn't been finished yet, The front needs to be cleaned up and tidied so that it is more appealing. Our first response was what have we come too? But it was a pleasant stay and staff were apologetic and lovely.
- Sheridan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (1/5): Bad -
- Jigme (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (5/5): We were quite happy with our stay at Everlasting Guest House but much work is needed to renovate. - Breakfast in the dining room was very nice, freshly cooked, friendly Staff. A huge task ahead of Managers and Staff to renovate, rebuild, and restore this place to make it really comfortable and attractive. Our room wasn't ready for us when we arrived but was quickly sorted.
