- Mario (1/5): SCIFO - extremely difficult to gain access to the property. Extremely difficult to get any help from Italianway's so called "customer service" number. Kept waiting for a long time & then when call finally answered, the call was cut off & had to ring again & wait again. Recorded message urged contact by email. Finally, when call answered & dilemma explained, was advised to email details of problem !!! - Hello ? - I'm on the street trying to gain access to a booking I've already paid for & your entry instructions don't work & you want me to email ?!! Finally gained entry through main Portone, because another tenant happened to arrive & let us in. Typical " Menofregista " attitude from ITALIANWAY, has convinced me NEVER to use or recommend ITALIANWAY again. in short - service was SCIFO !! lousy bed - hard as a rock. So hard, it was nearly impossible to sleep.
The one most important thing for any traveler is to get a good night's sleep after a busy day of exploring & sight-seeing.
If the accommodation fails this one basic thing, it fails in every aspect.
- Artur (3/5): Bad. The air conditioning doesn't work. - Overall, the apartment looks not bad. BUT. The apartment is old, the floor creaks almost everywhere. The bathroom leaves much to be desired. The bidet does not work. But that is not the most important thing. I rarely leave bad reviews. But I was forced to do it. I paid 420 euros for 3 nights. And the apartment was rented because there was air conditioning. We checked in. It was 29 degrees outside, hot. The sun shines into this apartment constantly in the afternoon. Of course, it was stuffy there. The first thing I did was turn on the air conditioner to 23 degrees. To my surprise, the temperature did not change. I tried all the modes and temperatures. In the end, the air conditioner worked, but did not cool the air, but simply worked as a fan. The air conditioner was broken. I contacted customer service. Their man came. I thought he would fix the air conditioner. But he said that the air conditioner was working properly, and that this is how air conditioners work in Italy. He thought I was an idiot. And the fact that I had rented 3 apartments before, and also in Italy. The air conditioners worked fine everywhere and cooled the air as they should. In general, he did nothing. I was offered a replacement the next day. One apartment was far from the station and I did not agree to move there. The second one was nearby. I agreed to move, but on the condition that I would check if the air conditioning worked there myself. I was refused. We had to stay in this one with a broken air conditioning. The first 2 nights, I could not even sleep normally, I had to open all the windows completely all night. And the cherry on the cake was their offer to refund me 110 euros. This happened after the first night. They wanted to deceive me and refund 110 euros for 2 nights. Let me remind you, I paid 420 for 3 nights. In the end, this ruined our stay in Milan.
- Kang (7/5): Good - Spacious, mostly clean, convenient location (10 min away from Milan Central; plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in the neighborhood; pop-up farmers market twice a week right next to the building). The apartment is showing some age. Floor is squeaky. Kitchen utensils are mostly old. No seasonings are provided for cooking. Noisy street. Poor sound insulation especially in the bedroom and especially in the days of farmers market (can hear workers assembling stalls right below the window very early in the morning).
- Florentina (10/5): Exceptional -
- 馬機 (9/5): Feel like home. - Near the Metro station. The place is big with full furniture and equipment including the kitchen (and everything you need for cooking) and the laundry (inside the bathroom). I especially love the piano (yes you can play).
On Saturday there's a big market at the parking lot. If you drive the car, remember to remove the car before early in the morning. However, the vegetable and fruit at the market are really nice, and that makes me feel like living in Milan instead of being a tourist.
