Sibongile (7/5): - Great location. Very clean. Not having a remote to access the gate and you have to wait for the receptionist to open for you is inconvenient. WiFi in my room was weak, ended up using my own data to work.

Lara (3/5): no thanks, not recommended. - not much -Reception reeked of cigarette smoke. -Our room was right next to reception, and we heard everything there including video calls the staff member made to various people, videos he watched, and music he played (both late into the evening and extremely early in the morning). -We arranged to arrive late (past 10pm) but the fridge wasn't on and the door of the fridge was open. -We drove right in as we got to the gate as someone opened the gate so security is not great. -No bedside lamps available, only harsh overhead lighting with switches at the door only. -Curtains gossamer thin and old, and as a result if you have light sensitivity, no chance of sleeping as the sliding door looks into the central courtyard which is very well lit. -As someone who booked the place to catch some much-needed sleep between two long legs of a journey, we will definitely NOT recommend it to anyone. -It's in a student area and seems to be booked mostly for parties, if the odd rules and Tc & Cs are anything to go by (e.g. "no nudity at the swimming pool" and "day bookings must leave by 8pm")

DesIngez (8/5): - Booked this room for family and it all went well. They enjoyed their stay, were received kindly and loved the cosiness feeling. Nearby the university so great for staying after a graduation.
Tebogo (8/5): - The bedroom and kitchenette were cleaned with white sheets clean, and there was a great location with super friendly staff. Bar fridge was unplugged, and there was a stench of urine from the bathroom/toilet carpet. Those were the one drawbacks.

Theo (1/5): - The picture on the Booking App I had booked via Booking App. My transport would arrive only midnight in Bloemfontein. I called the facility to inquire if I could check in midnight hours. The lady I spoke to said it was OK, I should just call in when I arrive. I called the facility on my way to Bloemfontein 100km out to confirm. Unfortunately, the facility was then fully booked. Mean I had to make alternative plans since I cannot be stranded midnight. I brought it up with the facility if is was possible to get a refund. Yes it was not the refundable booking option but I find it unfair to have arranged with the facility and then later not to be assisted as we communicate. I cannot comment on the facility itself but the treatment I received was disappointing

Pontsho (5/5): It is just accommodative - The location and tranquility of the house The wordrobe/closet was unstable and the hinges were too loose to fall apart and there no hangers in the closet. The host entered our room without knocking the door. No signs that shows the name of the guesthouse and the numbers provided by booking.com don’t go through , we went rounding around the area looking for the guesthouse until we got help from the security guards in that area.

As we arrived at 15h00 after 8 hours drive and we were informed that the owner is having a birthday party and that they will not be able to accommodate us due to the possible noice. We went to a restaurant to freshen up after a very long and exhausting drive. They phone us back us 17h00 to move us to one of the other guesthouses (no good reviews either). As we were very tired after the long drive, we contacted one of the guesthouses we stay with previously, and they gladly accommodated us for the night. I was very disapointed as we paid for the room through booking.com. I just feel that they could have phoned us earlier, to tell us about their birthday party. After all this is a guesthouse where people want to rest. If this is also a party venue they should advertise it like that.

Seeiso Arnold (1/5): I'm done with you there - There was a lit of noise through out the night and everyone seems to be doing what they like starting from the receptionist to the drunken guest who don't respect other people privacy and the staff seems to6be having fun with them. The notice to start with. The receiption we got being asked why are we too early whilst I made it clear I'll be there by 12 and was told I'm too early. No member of staff seems to care or reprimand those other guests causing noise. It was my first time there and the last. The place is run unprofessional so

Love the renovations outside looks beautiful. The bed in our room was a bit uncomfortable it was too hard. The receptionist was a bit off during check in but the rest of the staff very friendly.

Bulelwa (7/5): Nice - The staff was very friendly and I asked for an early check in and they prepared the room on time. Our room was clean and there was an extra blanket for when one feels cold. There’s a chilling area where one can chill and relax and the swimming pool was cleaning. It’s in a quiet area. I hated the fact that they don’t have showers, they need to look into putting showers in the rooms because one doesn’t work hard on cleaning it after using it. The plugs went off while we were busy getting ready and the stuff didn’t pick up that they’re off, I had to go and inform them that our plugs are not working.

The receptionist was unprofessional, drinking on duty and casually calling my husband “chommie.” What was meant to be a peaceful getaway turned into a sleepless, uncomfortable night — definitely not worth it.
