• Elisaveta (9/5): Beautiful and comfortable house is a beautiful setting - The accommodation is wonderful and has a home-like feel. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable: we felt that we slept on clouds! If you happen to eat in for some of the duration of your satay, the kitchen has all the basics and would serve you well if you want to put together a simple meal. You can also put some records on while you're at it. The living room and kitchen space is generous and allows for room to dance, play board games or just quietly listen to and observe the birds nesting in a stone wall. I really appreciated that the accommodation has solar panels installed and while it provides modern comforts, it also blends into the landscape. The host is welcoming, helpful and available if you need a few tips about the area or is you have any questions. I would love to return for a longer stay, so this may sum up it all!

Nice touch was all the kids toys and bits for entertaining children to make this stay even easier. Patrick was very accommodating and there wasn’t one single issue with the accomodation. Everything was perfect
• Ryan (10/5): Stay in oldcastle - The property was beautiful, big space outside which we had a few BBQs. A large living and kitchen space. Rooms with en suite’s. Also facing a farm so now and again you get a visit of the cows facing on the field. And the property is a stone throw again from a beautiful town with plenty of shops, we are from Liverpool and the locals we’ve very nice and welcoming. N/a
• Marie (1/5): Absolutely awful - Nothing We had a deeply disappointing experience with this accommodation. Upon arrival, we found the property in an unacceptable condition: the bedding was dirty, towels were soiled, and the cutlery was unclean. Unfortunately, the list of issues continued. We were forced to purchase our own bedding just to have a clean and safe place to sleep. We were staying here for a family wedding, and the poor condition of the accommodation significantly impacted what was meant to be a joyful occasion. Due to the lack of alternative accommodations in the area, we remained for two nights before deciding we had no choice but to leave early. Our concerns were heightened as we were traveling with a family member who is a cancer patient, making the cleanliness and safety of the environment especially critical. This property posed serious health concerns and caused considerable distress during our stay. Despite being advertised on Booking.com as a 5-star property, this accommodation does not meet even the most basic standards—certainly not those expected of a 5-star listing. We strongly question whether Booking.com has ever vetted this property, as the photos used on the website appear to be significantly outdated and do not reflect its current condition. just some of the pictures
• Patrick (10/5): Welcoming, homely, good value and very comfortable. - The house was comfortable, clean, quirky, private and spacious. Patrick was very welcoming and give loads of info not only on the accommodation but on the locality and places to go, and his home made bread was a real bonus. He had the fridge and presses stocked with the basics which means a lot and the stove was very cosy for a night in. There was nothing to dislike.
• Sil (10/5): Spacious and warm house, you won't be disappointed - The house is big but still has a "family" feeling. The rooms are very big, the beds are super king size, as they are made of two single mattresses together. Each room has its own bathroom, and the house was very very warm, even though outside we got to zero degrees celsius! I loved how easy it was to have a fire going, as Patrick our host had the wood and starters all ready. The kitchen has everything, from an air fryer to a real coffee machine (not the pods one!) And the host had milk and a lovely apple pie ready for us at our arrival. we liked it all
• Roisin (8/5): My family and elderly mother enjoyed a wonderful stay at Glenboy House. A beautiful home, centrally located and yet in t - Beautiful home nestled in the peace and quiet of Meath’s countryside. Cosy and warm despite being very spacious.
• Chloe (10/5): Lovely home, great host, close to town - Patrick our host was lovely and left fresh soda bread, jam & butter and chocolates for us on our arrival. The property was huge with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. A collection of toys kept the children happily entertained
• Teresa (10/5): A wonderful place to stay - This is a fabulous huge house and Patrick is a wonderful and friendly host. You are close to Oldcastle and it’s amenities but tucked away so have your privacy. It’s is exceptionally well equipped and has everything you will ever need for a comfortable holiday. It’s great that each bedroom has its own bathroom. Lots of information provided also for things to see and do in the area and further afield. All our group loved our stay and would highly recommend Glenboy country accomodation.
• Hamer (8/5): A very comfortable, friendly, enjoyable place with lots of interesting places to visit. - Patrick was very friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and comfortable. There is lots to see in the area. We had a really enjoyable holiday and would highly recommend it. Every bedroom has en-suite facilities. It is nice and quiet and tucked away in lovely countryside but close enough to Oldcastle's facilities.

• Zoe (10/5): Fantastic property for family celebration. - We stayed here with our extended family and the house was perfect for what we needed. The open plan kitchen/living area was fantastic, created a really nice atmosphere for the little celebration we were having. The ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms is fab for a large group. The host could not have been more helpful, great communication and not only supplying a travel cot but also a baby monitor, which was really appreciated. Overall we had a lovely stay and we hope to return in the future!

• Melissa (9/5): Convenient to the Ramor Theatre and perfect for a diverse group of family and friends - The house was perfectly suited to our weekend plans, to attend a play at the theatre in Virginia, and to the size and nature of our group (one couple and their two children, and two single women). The furnishings are unique, eclectic, and high quality, and the layout of the rooms was perfect for us. Speaking for my bedroom, the en suite on the left upstairs, the bed was the most comfortable ever. We cooked, read from the extensive collection of books, and played board games during the day, and on the way home we stopped and climbed up to the Loughcrew Cairns at Patrick's suggestion. We encountered a couple of maintenance issues but Patrick was very responsive, and all in all it was a very good stay. We'll stay again if we're ever in the area again as a group. We weren't able to use the fire, as there was a problem with the chimney - as it was a rainy weekend, that would have been lovely! But otherwise the house was super comfortable and felt cosy despite its spaciousness.
