Guest Reviews
- Guilbaud (10/5): -
- Todd (7/5): Only a little effort from be great. - Great location, on the beach, only steps away from the water. The staff prepared a nice meal for our party of 5 without prior notice. The area was not kept clean and organized. With a little effort this place could be amazing.
- Moo (8/5): Great experience - Location was fantastic and host were both charming and helpful When it was stormy the rain blew through my room. Also the bathrooms need sinks: they were almost too basic
- Tessa (10/5): -
- Nadja (8/5): Tolle Unterkunft, allerdings eher einfach, aber sehr sauber. - Super Lage!
- Frances (7/5): Wonderful beach front location on a unique little island - Great location right on the beach. Excellent snorkelling right in front of the huts. The beds are comfortable however the bathrooms are terrible (no toilet seat or sink). The early morning dolphin tour was excellent and definitely worth doing! Free drinking water which was especially appreciated on this little Isla with no source if fresh water. If you can put up with primitive bathroom conditions the location of this guesthouse is unbeatable.
The included breakfast was pretty basic
- Michael (10/5): Paradiset - Paradiset!
Inget negativt bara positivt
- Iwona (10/5): The place you miss and want to be back - Location , the island itself is a gem, especially in the afternoon, quiet, peaceful, very friendly. We came by a public boat from Baclayon pier, the boat returns from the island to Bohol in the early morning hours.
Wang and his family are very welcoming and easygoing, we had a great trip on the boat to see dolphins, fantastic experience. What’s more, you just walk from the shore to snorkel and the reef is better than our snorkelling tour from El Nido. Nothing. But you must be prepared for basic conditions
- Gretelle (10/5): Le paradis - Tout Rien
- Moo (7/5): Basic accommodation and warm welcome in superb location - Location is superb and welcome from hosts is great In danger of being overtaken by rivals because of some cheap basics: the bedrooms need a repaint and warmer lighting, bathrooms are very crowded (cold showers over very basic toilets, no sinks) and no outside showers to wash the sand off after swimming.
- Didier (7/5): -
- thierry (10/5): - Tout !!! Le personnel, le logement, l emplacement, l île. Rien
- Catherine (10/5): Desert island life at its finest! - Weng Weng's place is in the most exquisite setting, right on the white sandy beach. It was a short distance from where the day-tripper ferry came in, and this part of the beach was generally deserted, so felt like a private island. The whole experience was fabulous, from the little Robinson Crusoe hut right on the beach to the scuba diving on the reef and incredibly good-value food, cocktails, etc. A couple of points. We didn't have a mirror in our room. That was quite nice, really, not to have to worry what we looked like, but if it's important to you, you need to bring your own. The accommodation is basic. Now the beach is wonderful. The sea is warm, clear and blue, so who wants to be in your room? You only need to be in there for sleeping. But if it's important to you to have luxury, this isn't the place for you. We had to leave early as there was a typhoon incoming, so we missed the last couple of nights, but would happily have stayed there for weeks and settled into relaxed island life. Just the best! Nothing
- Yekun (6/5): Be mentally prepared for anything - Well, the boss is quite enthusiastic and will try to help solve the problem. However, the resources here are quite limited, so you might need to prepare for some hardships. When you go take a shower, you'll probably notice it.
- Zipfoto (9/5): - Best Seaview and the owner Weng Weng manage easily all your wishes for transfer and extra boattours. Rosalinda cook special seafood for me.
- Silke (9/5): - Directly at the beach, romantic place for sitting, bathing and snorkeling. Very supportive householder who helps for the trip to the island by boat and in any other questions. We made a tour to the dolphins and saw many of them. Only five rooms, very individual service. The wife of the owner prepares the meal for guests. No washbasin, only shower.
Dommage trop tard.
- Paul (10/5): - Amazing host, outrageous location and fresh cooked local food made by WengWengs wife.
- Meredith (10/5): A truly amazing stay so rare to experience an island with an authentic traditional life. Il return next year & recom - Beautiful Island perfect location all staff & local community are wonderful. The food is traditionally home made cuisine….excellent & plentiful. Everyone is extremely helpful & welcoming. Snorkel with beautiful marine life and turtles right from their shore.
Very sweet beach hut accommodation made for a perfect stay. This is Paradise nothing not to like.
- Carolina (10/5): - Am stat decat o singura noapte o familie din cinci persoane.
In cazul nostru a fost din portul Baclayon Bohol.
Camerele sun in stil rustic amenajate su strictul necesar.
- Natalia Sylwia (10/5): - Einfach und Authentisch, Ruhe und Frieden.
Danke Weng Weng
- Louise (1/5): Do not go here. - The host of this property sexually assaulted me during my stay, please avoid this accommodation.
- CZEkki (9/5): A taste of rural life right on the beach - The accommodation is right on the beach. The hosts were very attentive.
The food is local and tasty. All that you may need can be arranged through the host. There is a nice joined seating in front of the accommodation with a bar and views of the sea.
There is one paved road through the island (1.5km). It is great to see local rural life - hens, pigs, goats, cows :) People on the island were very friendly! The WC has no seat and is flushed with sea water, the shower uses rainwater. I loved it as I thought of it as a tent experience.
If there is rain in other islands, the high tide will bring seaweed to the beach.
- Maria Magdalena (10/5): -
Es gibt alles was man braucht:)
- Vera (10/5): - We loved the wonderful view, the sounds of the waves, the lovely prepared and exceptional food they served, the quiet and the peace of the Island. The reef just in front of the location is amazing as well - if you go for snorkeling keep an eye out for turtles - you'll be surprised!
Go and find your place in paradise and don't miss out the dolphin Tour! WengWeng will arrange an unforgettable and mind-blowing experience. We say Thank you! Nothing
- Gil (6/5): Pleasant -
- Wilson (9/5): Definitely worth a visit. - WengWeng and family were very hospitable. It's basic accommodation but the simplicity makes it special. We enjoyed walking around the island, the islanders are very friendly and it was nice not having cars to contend with while walking (only bikes). WengWeng met us at Baclyon for the hour crossing to Pamilacan (he charges 3500 return). The island is fairly free of rubbish/trash but the beaches are not. Such a shame for an island that relies on tourism that the beaches and sea have so much rubbish and nobody seems to care.
- Melanie (10/5): A piece of paradise away from the crowds -a great reboot and hidden gem - My friend and I I came for 2 days and stayed for 9 days over new year. We were unwell on arrival and Weng Weng and his family went out of their way to look after us. The food here is amazing - fresh and loads of it. We had 2 rooms, one with air con and one with a fan. Good size rooms. Free water and coffee too and then the amazing beach and clear sea to enjoy. We saw a number of turtles. Great to fully kick back on this peaceful island with such an amazing family. We could not have wished for a better place to recover, thank you Weng Weng and family for your care 🙏 All good
- Helena (8/5): Pamilacan is an unexplored pearl in the Philippines. We loved the authentic experience, the small island and how friendl - We had a lovely stay at Pamilacan Island. The hut is basic but the location, owners and the experience fantastic. Very welcoming family, accommodating and the food is amazing. The bathroom did not have running water for the shower (due to a lack of rain). A little inconvenient but other than that no complaints.
- Lucy (8/5): Very good -
- Angel (6/5): Pleasant - The staff was very friendly
Nice sunset and sunrise
It takes 2 hours to walk the island Remember a bunch of money, 8 times as expensive as in Mainland, cash of course, and 3500 pesos to the 2 x 45 minutes sailtrip, 400 pesos pr meal pr person and so on,
Remember good shoes to awoid the very stoney beach, especially when it is low tide, and broken glass also
Always ask the price, otherwise you will be very surprised when you have to pay, also for the breakfast
Room service you have to ask for, and no toiletries like shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional - This island is so beautifull and unspoiled. Corals are very healthy and you will see turtles just after a few minutes snorkling from the resort beach.
The sea is full of delicious urchins that you can eat raw.
You can walk on the beach for one hour without see any tourists and when you meet locals they are incredibly welcoming!
The top of thr top is of course WengWeng, the host. He is amazingly friendly and helpful! He will take the time to discuss with you and introduce you the island.
The resort is directly on the beach, you can not dream a better location and view!
- Theodore (9/5): Superb -
- Diana (10/5): Amazing!! - This place was a class act! We really enjoyed talking to Weng Weng, the owner, who’s a super nice guy (but might come across a bit harsh at first :))The location is superb!! One step outside and you’re at the beach and in stunningly beautiful water. Pamilacan truly is paradise, and staying with Weng Weng you feel immersed in the island’s community! The huts are super simple. Which we loved, but be prepared :) Food seems to be expensive, but it’s super fresh, delicious and you get quite a lot for the price. Coconut is super cheap tho
- Iisbet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harma (9/5): A little paradise :) - We had the nipa hut right on the beach with an amazing view! Weng Weng collected us from Baclayon and offered us a good price to come over (800php) since it was market day and we shared the boat with his family. We just loved staying here and it was the highlight of our 30 day trip in the Philippines. The other resorts are very close by with one at the far end offering fantastic meals. The food is ok but small portions and quite steep at 400php a meal.
- Martin (9/5): Beach paradise - Your feet in the sand and the sea sea your nose, watching the sunrise from your porch after sleeping by the rush of the waves and then take a swim with the turtles right from there. That's what it's about!
The airy beachfront bungalow is quite simple but comfy, lukewarm water all good for your shower, and AC is replaced by the sea breeze. You even get reasonable data connection with your phone. Bed in the bungalow perhaps a bit smallish for 2, as found often in similar places. Food is simple and a bit pricey, but be it.
- Jan (9/5): Superb - The location is unbelievably amazing, also the staff is friendly and always helpful The price for the food was exaggerate high. They charged 400 Pesos for 1 Person. The food itself was tasty but at least average. So the price was inappropriate.
- Tomasz (10/5): Exceptional - everything was great. clean, breathable houses, great breeze at night, we didn't need a fan, very comfortable bed, right on the beach, great owner, the boss of all bosses because everyone knows him hehe. the food is amazing, the portions are huge, and if you ask for more, you don't pay extra. Thank you Mr. Weng Weng and the entire family for a nice stay and great service. We will definitely come back in the future. Regards
- Peter (8/5): Excellent Location, great good - It was a perfect location right on the beach, Wing Wing was very helpful and Stella cooked us excellent mrals If the mosquito net fitted over the bed without touching your face
- Karina (10/5): I will return!! BOOK with Weng Weng! - Insane views, spectaculaly clean and wonderful place to stay, great snorkaling and wonderful family atmosphere with incredible food! Nothing bad to say.
- Nicolai (8/5): Very good -
- Bastable (10/5): Exceptional - It was a little bit of paradise very few tourists .Very natural island .Weng Weng is very helpful in organising private transportation if needed to and from the island . Also organising any activities. The food is home cooked and delicious. The accommodation clean and basic as you would expect .
- Maria (10/5): Absolutely amazing experience - This is a small local family business and it is an absolutely LOVELY family.
The host - WangWang, is very nice and helpful, the food was incredible and the rooms are right on the beach.
We couldn't have chosen a better place to end our honeymoon.
You can rent snorkeling gear and see huge turtles and an amazing coral garden very well preserved. Unforgettable experience!
If you want peace and quite, good food and white sand beach to relax with very few tourists, this is the place :)
- Sascha (6/5): Pleasant - They was kind The food is to expensive
- Allan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (10/5): one of the best little breaks we have had. - The host Wing Wing was amazing .. helpful and considerate to all our needs. The best host anyone could ask for .. the little Huts are on the beach. The food was incredible and so tasty. Sand in the bed lol ..
- Gabriella (10/5): Amazing stay - I really enjoyed my stay, the experience was amazing. I loved the activities, Weng Weng and his family were so accommodating. The food was great and it was nice to get away from more tourist locations, and spend time on the island N/A
- Philippe (10/5): wonderful unforgettable - a privileged location facing the ocean, natural, authentic. weng weng is an excellent guide, available and generous. the welcome is friendly. the island is interesting to discover and its inhabitants welcoming. have to leave
- Taichi (10/5): Nature is the best - The scenery is the best! The owner and staff are kind, the wind, sound, the color of the sea and the sky are the best, and it is recommended for those who want to relax and those who like fishing and beer. I highly recommend this place because it's close to Cebu. I want a lot of Japanese people to come too.
