• Lynsey (8/5): Great stay - The location is excellent; you couldn’t be more central in the village. There are great cafes and bars surrounding the property and lots of shops. Everyone is really friendly and lots of places are dog friendly. I loved that we were able to take the dog with us to the property. The penthouse is very spacious. Some of our group found their beds uncomfortable but others loved them.

• Ellen (9/5): A great stay! - Unmatched location and has everything you need for a stay. Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of room. We were a group of 6 (three couples) and a small dog, and found it spacious. Apartment has probably been recently renovated as feels modern and clean. Parking nearby on Broad St is £1.50 a day if you do early bird - can't complain! Good value for money when comparing against other similar accommodation in nearby area. The pictures on booking.com don't do it justice! It's a lot bigger in real life. The apartment is next door to a co-op so you can hear their deliveries in the early morning (back bedroom only) although probably not an issue if you're a deep sleeper.
• Ria (10/5): Relaxing,cosy weekend away. - Beautiful spacious property with lovely rooms and spaces to sit and relax, we also loved the bath in the master bedroom. It was also in an excellent location surrounded by plenty of restaurants and above a Coop.

• Eleanor (9/5): Nice flat in central Windermere - A nice, comfortable flat offering what i thought was comparatively good value for the Windermere area. A little quirky, with a bath in the main bedroom as well as an ensuite and main bathroom. The main bedroom is largest with a great view over the high street. Moderate double room with window which can not be opened, smaller double with rooflight and no other window. The lounge and kitchen area were more than sufficient, but a few beams that you may need to duck to get around. Two flights of steps to get up to flat from entry door. Good communication with the owner, who was quick to resolve a couple of questions. Shops and cafes on the doorstep. Parking in the street or in nearby carpark. This flat was comparatively good value for money, so I didn't expect perfection. The carpet was clean but looked a little worse for wear. The ensuite bathroom design made it quite cramped. The fridge was a bit small, but we used the large inbuilt wine fridge for drinks and salad. There is a separate fire escape, which was unusual but looked secure. Check in was easy, but I would have liked instructions re parking

• Carole (8/5): We had a lovely weekend at the penthouse in Windermere. Ideal for a family as it was spacious and located in the centre - Central location. Lack of parking.

• Benjamin (8/5): Great location and good value. - Location is great. Rooms were a decent size. Could do with a bit of a freshen up, quite a lot of stains from roof leaks.
• Tahlia (8/5): Fantastic spot for a fab weekend in the Lake District - Great location and cosy spot! Great for a long weekend in the Lake District. There were a few issues but the host was quick to resolve them! Great response time.

• Christine (9/5): Central apartment Windermere - Brilliant location,spacious,plenty of cutlery and crockery,tea coffee. 2 x showers 1 x bath. Owner kept in touch. Some signs off wear. Didn't think we should be asked to strip the beds before we left.
• Trofin (2/5): As soon as I have arrived I started to clean the place so we could enjoy our stay here and I was very inspired that I go - The location is perfect, the apartment is spacious . The apartment it was very dirty, the fridge small dirty and dated the coffee machine it was a disappointment, the 2 chairs were broken, the towels were not changed, the hub was dirty as well. The floor in the kitchen was sticky
• Davediane (9/5): Lovely apartment - Perfect location and the apartment itself is lovely. Modern meets old. The main bedroom is large and really well presented. We stayed for a weekend break. There is plenty to do nearby if you are not exploring by car and very close to the train station. The street it is on has many shops and restaurants, and it's a short walk to Bowness. We found on street parking no problem. The host was easily contactable and very friendly. We had a great stay. It is missing just a couple of essentials in the kitchen, mainly tongs and oven gloves. One of the bedrooms is very small with just enough room for the bed. Nothing major.
