Guest Reviews
- Silvia Regina (7/5): -
- Nicole (7/5): -
- Martina (10/5): - Staff super gentile.
- Philippe (8/5): Nice studio apartment for a short stay - The view and quiet environment
- Pauline (10/5): Lovely place, fabulous views, scary access. - The view! The very narrow and twisty road up to the property.
- Sebastian (8/5): We would recommend it, but it could use some small details to make for a perfect stay - Very nice view, Pool and Pool maintenance. The Garden was very well kept as well Some basic necessities would‘ve been greatly appreciated: Salt, cooking oil, napkins, body wash…
We also would‘ve appreciated one fresh set of towels for the 5 nights that we were there.
Very important: we were really missing at least one mosquito net on a window or door.
Panorama incredibile senza paragoni. Ci ritornerò di sicuro Nulla
- Renée (8/5): - Great base to explore Liguria and Toscana. Loft apartment is very spacious and amazing views.
Pool is lovely and clean, plenty of sunbeds. Just a few small things that could be improved: no towelservice during our stay of a full week. We had to go shopping on arrival for trash bags, salt/pepper and some other basics. A few more plates, cutlery, bowls, cups and stuff would be nice too.
- Margarete (10/5): Wundervoll! - Traumhafte Aussicht!
Wunderschönes Zimmer mit großer Terrasse und Meerblick.
Sehr gepflegter Pool.
Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt!
Sehr freundliche Gastgeber!
Unser Hund war willkommen!
Unkomplizierter checkin und -out !
Kann es allen weiterempfehlen! Steile Auffahrt.

- Mael (8/5): -
- Tom (7/5): Beautiful house and view - Breathtaking view and very nice house, set in olive groves. Comfortable beds and beautiful old interior. The pool with a view over La Spezia and the bay was idyllic, as was sitting out on the veranda in the evenings with the same view. It’s surprisingly quick and easy to drive to central La Spezia, and the Cinque Terre are easy to reach as well. The listing on booking.com included air conditioning as a feature, but this is only in some of the apartments on the property, and not the one we stayed in. This was a problem for us during an August heatwave. The interior was very warm and it was hard to ventilate via open windows due to the mosquitoes. The small, windowless kitchen was particularly hard to be in and some basics were missing such as cooking knives, chopping board, bowls, air ventilation.
- Saskia (9/5): -
- Judith (8/5): Amazing views and lovely location on the hills! Car required. - Amazing host, the best view on the sea, great pool. The kitchen equipment was limited.
- Pietro (9/5): Superb - The view was stunning and the pool well kept and marvelous after a day of hiking. Having outdoor spaces to relax and eat was lovely. Since the apartment did not have AC, it would have been nice to have screens to leave the door open at night to stay cool. It was a bit confusing that we were expected to remove our own garbage.
- Tobias (10/5): It was a very pleasant stay with a stunning view - perfect view / very friendly hosting -
- Kiri (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, lovely property, great communication. The pool was temporarily closed but Shannon very kindly ensured that it was open and ready for the summer on our arrival!
- Tristan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wiktoria (10/5): Exceptional - Great view! It is very up high on a mountain. Sometimes taxi drivers did not want to pick us up, and walking to the town took over an hour
- Daniel (9/5): Beautiful villa in the hill of La Spezia - Amazing view over La Spezia Steep road to get there
- Dianne (10/5): I would highly recommend this place. - Beautiful scenery and nice apartment. Had to be careful with number of appliances used at once.
- Miranda (1/5): Highly misleading, poor - Nothing. Staff responsiveness poor.
No network coverage, rely on WiFi.
Extremely steep road leading to the property, taxis refused going there, especially at night.
Poor property maintenance.
- Pamela (10/5): Amazing stay in a very beautiful place and staff very friendly and helpful - Beautiful view and the staff very friendly and nice Everything very clean and tidy beautiful terrace with view
- Ismaël (10/5): Very Nice location with a superbe view on the sea. Great sunrises in the morning. -
- Keith (10/5): Fantastic - Great view Road very steep to get there.
- Jasmina (1/5): not recommended - The property is not as it looks in the pictures at all. The apartment was old and smelled moistly. The kitchen was extremely narrow, very unpractical and not nice. There was no closet, only smelly drawers in an old dresser. The sleeping couch was extremely uncomfortable. One of the reasons we booked the hotel was the pool, which was not working when we arrived. Supposedly it worked some time the next day, but we were not around anymore to find out. Also, the opening hours of the pool (if it had worked) were too short. Getting there was really unpleasant and felt dangerous. The road is so narrow that you really don't feel like going up and down every day, but you kind of have to, because there is nothing close to the property… no restaurants or supermarkets…
We spend a night, because it was already evening when we arrived and we could not find anything else on such a short notice, but left the next morning.
On booking.com the property appeared with an apparently reduced price, which suggested that it was worth even a lot more than we paid. However, even the reduced prize was completely overpriced.
Now, the reason why we are giving the lowest rating are not even the reasons above. That would have been maybe a 7.5. The reason is the following: we contacted of course the owners to let them know we are not happy and we were leaving for all the reasons above and asked if they could give us some refund. Now, they could have said no, but what they did is, they asked for the highest rating in order to start negotiations for a refund!! So, we were supposed to lie, hoping to maybe get some of our money back… we find that outrageous because it undermines all credibility of the ratings on booking.com. So, please don't believe the high ratings, people might have been tricked into giving it…
- Guy (9/5): Superb - It was a very nice stay. Marta was very good at making us feel welcome. We loved the view.. I would recommend... Pool only open until 6:30pm and we needed to take the rubbish from our bins in the apartment with us to the property bins down the road
- Nadège (10/5): Amazing view, amazing pool area and amazing staff... Thank you! - The view was wonderful.
The pool area was really amazing. Everything in the apartment was very clean.
Marta was always available to give us good tips and advice.
Thank you for our wonderful stay!
- Wiktor (9/5): Superb - Everything
- Patrick (9/5): Superb - Very nice and kind service. They reacted immideatly, when we asked for something. Lovely place.
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jens (8/5): We have spend two very good weeks there. - Very friendly and helpful hosts. Very good view to the Golfo di Spezia from the property. The new outdoor pool which has been under construction when we spent our holidays there is fantastic and opens new opportunities during the stay. We appreciated the silent environment. There is a discrepancy between the pictures visible on the web page of the web portals and the reality. Meanwhile the hedge in front of the terrace on the ground floor has reached a height that it is not possible to view the Golfo di Spezia when sitting at the table both inside and outside. One must stand up to experience this nice view. As Germans we have missed an electric coffee machine for filter coffee. Nesquick Gold did the job.
That is for the web portals only: It is very difficult to find out which apartment is where (ground floor, 1st floor) and what the interior design of these apartments is. Better description is recommended.
- Radu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simona (10/5): Nature and comfort go hand in hand. - The view was exceptional.
- Silvia (4/5): Disappointing - It seemed everything was used/secondhand like; the bin in the bathroom did not have a cover and I've read it in the previous comments before arrival - I can't imagine how the host couldn't fix it. The walls were so thin that we woke up every night because of the other guests. The pool was 'under construction' and the status of it was updated after we paid for everything... We stayed only 2 out of 3 nights; we decided to change the accommodation. It's not a recommendation for anyone!
- Yves (10/5): Exceptional - No remarks. Just perfect. Clean and comfortabel appartement. Very friendly host.m
- Marthe (1/5): No pool - A really cool house up on the hill with a great view. The owners seems lovely. Leaving a bad review solely on the fact that there was no pool on the property. I only booked this place because it said they had a pool, there was even edited photos of a pool on the ad.
- Beata (9/5): Superb - Beautiful view from the huge terrasse to the bay of La Spezia!
- Janine (7/5): Lovely accommodation with easy access to Cinque Terre - Beautiful views over La Spezia and impeccable grounds. Place looks exactly as described and staff was lovely. Access road is best suited to experienced drivers. The kitchen is very basic and bedding could be upgraded. Provision of basic supplies (ie. salt, olive oil) or a simple Italian breakfast would make a stay more convenient.
- Rashid (8/5): Very good -
- Martha (8/5): Cozy place with amazing views. - The property was very clean and had all the kitchen essentials. We also had an outdoor table with an amazing view. The place is nice and quiet, perfect to enjoy some days off. The place had parking. The bed arrangement was a little uncomfortable. We were 4 people and we had one sofa bed in the living room which was totally fine but the other bed was a mattress in the floor in what seemed to be an attic. Since it was kind of an attic with a low ceiling at the end, I literally had to crawl to my side of the bed. We arrived by car and the town is 10 mins away by car but if you don’t have a car I think it can be pretty challenging to get around for food and restaurants.
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (9/5): very pleasant and good for fitness - lovely view. Pleasant covered veranda. Well equipped. High up and so doesn’t get too stiflingly hot. An awful lot of steps to climb(about 1000) to walk to and return from La Spezia. I would have found a washing machine and a microwave more useful than a dishwasher and sandwich toaster.
- Anita (8/5): 5 Star View of La Spezia - Location, balcony, bath, view, nature Very bad insects and no fly screens on windows, no microwave
- Zsuzsanna (10/5): Exceptional - It's in a beautiful location overlooking the golf. Quiet, simply beautiful.
The hostess was very nice and gave us directions and info about CinqueTerre. .
It was a unique experience!
- Lomashvili (10/5): Exceptional - It is a fantastic place with stunning views. We are amazed with the service. The lady who met us gave us the best recommendations about the surroundings and restaurants. Considering her suggestions, we had a charming dinner and generally comfortable staying.
- Marc (9/5): Great place with stunning views. - Stunning views. Just relax on the terrace and enjoy life.
Friendly staff. Missing swimming pool. But one is in construction.
Don’t be drunk when you return to the apartment in the evening. The road is steep and tricky.
- Lasse (10/5): Very nice apartment, exceptional view. - Very nice apartment, exceptional view. The drive up the hill is a little twisty and narrow towards the end.
- Jaime (10/5): Extraordinary memories - Amazing views
- Niall (8/5): Very good - Nice apartment with everything you need. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely view across the bay. Easy, relaxed check-in with Marta. We were on the ground floor, so it was not quite as good a view as those on the terrace because of the hedge, but good nonetheless. You are about 2km from the centre of La Spezia, so it would take a good hour to walk back up the steep road. Car is pretty much a must.
- Lilla (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, terrace with a seaview, big rooms, clean
- Mārtiņš (10/5): Great place for long stay (if you travel with car). Realy liked it! - Fantastic view, and this place gived us real Italian feeling! The hedge could be lower for 1st floor apartments, it blocks the fantastic view of La Spezia
- Banu (8/5): Very good -
- Dr. (9/5): Poetic place - There might be no other location with such a perfect view over the bay of La Spezia up to the mountains of Carrara. The Appartment is very beautiful, fully equipped and in style of an old Villa building. Everything inside the appartment is working properly. Air condition is quiet and perfect on hot days. No noise of City traffic. Olive trees in the front. Very romantic place. It is the house on the highest position on this mountain. It is a save place for relaxing holidays. Really nice and recommendable. Marta, from the appartment team was very kind and helpful. Grazie per la tua support. To be honest: If you are looking for a daily thrill, then the private road up to the appartment will be your dream. For all other we can recommend to take care and time while driving up and down the last 0.5km private road, ... in first gear only. The smaller the car, the better it is. Additionally, we recommend not to forget to bring any anti-mosquito spray.
- Monica (1/5): Unfair treatment. - DANGEROUS. The private road leading to the secluded house was life threatening. The width of the road hardly fit my car ( Mitsubishi SUV ), they were unsecured and uneven. Ever meter we went we were scared our car would slide off the steep mountain side. We are from Switzerland, and used to mountain streets, this was too scary for us. The street also has no lights to drive up at night, forcing you to consume dinner in the villa, baring in mind the villa offers no restaurant, so forcing you to cook every evening on vacation. We decided this was too dangerous for our family and left upon arrival. The host understood our point of view, but decided not to reimburse us anything. Totally UNFAIR behaviour. The privat part of the road to the house is incredibly dangerous. They should not be allowed to get visitors with cars.
Very nice place. it was great to admire the La Spezia's bay and the Alps beyond. It was great having dinner on the terrace Teto baixo no quarto com cama. Low ceiling in bedroom with bed. Of
- Antonios (7/5): Good - View, serenity, Anna who helped us with finding the road & some necessities.
Proximity to 5 Terre. Difficult & real narrow street , dangerous for large cars
Missing coffee & some basic breakfast supplies, since grocery store too far sway
Bad mattress on couch.
- Murielle (10/5): highly recommend for anyone visiting La Spezia and Cinque Terre - the welcome at check in was great. super location with the amazing view of La Spezia.
very well equipped apartment with patio. nothing!
- Eva (1/5): Not what expected from pictures and description and a terrifying road - Beautiful patio and view. We had booked and paid for three nights, but we left after one day. This was not the place for us, and I’m still terrified of the road up here. Don’t try that with a large car. There should absolutely been a warning about this road. We manage to drive down, but will absolutely not go up once more. The room was not as expected from the pictures. So we where left with two options- stay there two more days with very humid, no aircondition, no food and nothing to do - or leave. So we left. We were offered a new apartment in an older house, but that was out of the question. So no return of money.
- Dr. (10/5): stunning view over the city and the ocean - gorgeous view it was a hard and long way to drive up, not made for every car to drive up there
- Bruno (10/5): A great stay with a great view - The view was magnificent and we got a roomy, clean and well equipped apartment! We were received very graciously by our host. It's nothing you can hold against the apartment, but you should be aware the road uphill can be challenging for an inexperienced driver.
- Raima (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ivaylo (9/5): Exellent - Wildlife in the garden, it was amazing! Hosts were more than helpful.
- Thanh (8/5): Very good - -Niccoló was very resourceful, was waiting in front of the villa for our arrival. Good communication, quick reply to our SMS & emails.
-If you are willing to pay for the view, this place is awesome, you can catch sunrise & sunset from your balcony. For those who are adventurous like us, the road to the villa is steep, very narrow with full of sharp turns. The villa needs TLC/improvement:
-the glass of one of the panoramic window is severely broken
-2 lamps were damaged & never repaired, the shower frame is broken (was replaced by a shower curtain)
-only 1 soap "fit all" (shower, hair, hand). FYI, this isn't the 1st Italian air b&b that we've booked on this trip.
- Antoinette (9/5): Superb - View from the balcony This is a 2 person apartment, not 4. 1 couple had to sleep in kitchen
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Very busy time to be here so I was a little worried about being so far from center with no car. Our host Paulo came to our rescue picking us up from the train station and also dropping us off to go to supermarket. Thank you so much for making La Spezia memorable. The view was fantastic and I enjoyed having a chance to cook too. We'll equipped with everything you need. There are a joining apartments a d our neighbours needed to walk in front to access their accommodation. Not too much of a problem as they were respectful of our privacy.
- Maks (10/5): The location is priceless, beautiful views and great infrastructure -
