- Ged (10/5): Excellent stay and fantastic hosts - Our stay at the Southbank was excellent, Yanni was excellent nothing was any trouble for him, the breakfasts at the St Peters restaurant were amazing, we also had a meal on two nights and once again amazing food and impeccable service, all in all these are fantastic apartments and i would certainly have no hesitation in staying again. - Nichola (10/5): Just superb. - Property was lovely clean and has fantastic views of Ketelios bay. Within a 2 minute walk to the beach. This is a self catering apartment with a hotel feel. i.e regular Change of towels for both shower and beach, clean sheets and a breakfast that was to die for. Yianis the owner also owns a taverner on the sea front serving the best food in my opinion in Ketelios. Superb apartment , superb food and superb host. Thank you Yiannis for a fantastic holiday. Would highly recommend. Everything

- Bart (10/5): Geweldige tijd bij de meest vriendelijke zorgzame mensen die heerlijk kunnen koken. - De locatie aan het strand is heel leuk met kinderen. Kinderen kunnen er zelfstandig erop uit om de omgeving te ontdekken. (8 en 10 jaar). Het appartement is super schoon en wordt elke dag schoongemaakt waarbij de bedden ook worden opgemaakt. Voor de zon liefhebbers is er een groot balkon waar je ook in de schaduw kan zitten. Het ontbijt is ontzettend lekker en groot. We liepen elke ochtend over het strand naar het restaurant waar je heerlijk aan zee kunt ontbijten. Het restaurant is ook een uitstekende plek om ‘s avonds kunt eten. We hebben hier een paar van de beste maaltijden van onze vakantie gehad. (10 dagen) De eigenaren zijn de meest vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen die je je kan voorstellen. Boordevol tips en kennis over het eiland en altijd bereid om iets extra’s voor je te doen. Niets

- Sarah (9/5): 7 days of relaxation in wonderful apartments - The location of the apartment is perfect and so easy to get to the strip of restaurants and bars. Loved waking up to a beautiful sea view each morning. The breakfasts were served at the owners restaurant saint peters which are available between 8.30-10.00. The breakfasts were amazing, plentiful and healthy too, the choice and standard is exceptional. The rooms are cleaned daily, with fresh towels each day too. Bottle of wine and water were in the fridge on our arrival. The hosts were very attentive and clearly want their guests to have a great experience whilst staying at their accommodation. Thank you Yianni. Kitchen utensils were limited although this didn’t bother us as we ate out every meal it may bother some guests.
- Kristen (10/5): Amazing hospitality that made our visit to Katelios Beach extra special - Yianni and Natalia were amazing hosts!!! We arrived off season and they upgraded us to the penthouse apartment. We had a lot of room and an amazing view!! Each morning, Yianni brought us breakfast from his restaurant. We had so much fun unpacking all of the tantalizing food which even included drinks! Each evening we dined at their fantastic restaurant. We were able to try some authentic Greek food and everything was so good!! We were spoiled royally and enjoyed every minute of our visit!! I highly recommend this property and especially the hosts!! Their restaurant is so cozy and welcoming, just like they are. I hope we are able to return again some day!! Everything was amazing!

- Walter (10/5): Entspannte Tage allerdings wenig Publikum um diese Jahreszeit und viele Restaurants sind bereits im Winterschlaf - Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Apartment mit Blick aufs Meer. Der Gastgeber sowie das Personal waren super nett und Hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war inklusive und wir hatten die Wahl es aufs Zimmer serviert zu bekommen oder es im Restaurant Saint Peter serviert zu bekommen. Wir haben es vorgezogen im Rrstairant zu speisen. Das Frühstück war vorzüglich und immer mehr als großzügig.

- Eva (9/5): Alles wow! - Alles: die Lage, das Frühstück (!!!), wie sehr sich Yanni & Natalia gekümmert haben, der Ort Katelios an dem alles bis auf ihr Lokal zu hatte :D Einzige Abzüge, dass es zwar eine Küche gibt, aber kochen nicht möglich ist. Kaffee und Tee machen, ist möglich aber sonst muss man abends essen gehen. (Aber nachdem Yannis & Natalias Lokal offen hat und ausgezeichnet ist, ist das kein großes Problem ;-))

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like - it was lovely.
- Aaren (9/5): - Comfortable stay. Daily housekeeping and owners were gracious during our stay. Additionally, they own a top-notch restaurant in town with beachfront dining. Amazing bonus was this property included breakfast in our stay! We had the best meals of our two week holiday in Greece at their restaurant each morning. PS Chef is the previous owner of a Michelin rated restaurant in Sydney, AUS. Our room was comfortable and extremely clean. I enjoyed the huge, sunny, veranda and the clothes rack. Views are beautiful and area was quaint and had a beach local vibe. Bed was OK but could be more comfortable.

Yanni was a fabulous host that truly cared about our experience, provided great recommendations on food, surrounding beaches, sightseeing destinations and others. Last, but not least, do not skip visits to Yanni’s restaurant St. Peter - delicious food, attentive staff and great locations at seafront.

- Karl (7/5): Ok, but not special. - Apartment was large and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a real bonus. A little dated and hot water when showing was very hit and miss.
- Lea (9/5): Wir haben uns unglaublich wohl gefühlt :) - Großes, sauberes und lichtdurchflutetes Apartment mit Blick auf das Meer. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Jeden Tag wurde gereinigt und es gab immer frische Handtücher. Das Apartment ist gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz. In dem Örtchen Katelios ist es schön ruhig, man ist direkt am Meer, hat einen eigenen kleinen Strandabschnitt und die örtlichen Restaurants sind nur ein paar Gehminuten entfernt. Ein Highlight ist der Gastgeber Yiannis, der unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit ist ("he is always good" ;-)) und viele Tipps für Ausflüge gibt und sogar Anrufe für uns getätigt hat, um Informationen zu erfragen. Seine Frau ist eine unglaubliche Köchin! Sowohl das tolle Frühstück am Morgen in seinem Restaurant als auch das Abendessen waren unglaublich lecker! Das Frühstück kann man vor Ort essen, sich in einem Korb bringen lassen oder sich auch als Paket für einen Tagesausflug einpacken lassen. Eine weitere Glasscheibe vor der Dusche wäre gut, damit das ganze Duschwasser sich nicht auf dem Badezimmerboden verteilt.

- Alessandra V. (10/5): - The best of the best are hands-down Yiannis and Natalia! They spoiled us with a fantastic seaside breakfast at their restaurant every morning. On days when we didn’t have time to sit down, they even prepared homemade sandwiches and fruit for us to enjoy as a picnic lunch. Beyond that, they are simply wonderful people. We loved our conversations about life in Greece, especially since they’ve also had expat experiences, which made it easy to connect and understand each other. The apartment itself had everything we needed, was located in a quiet area, was perfectly located (close to several shops and restaurants), and came with access to a private beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas. It was cleaned daily, which made it even more comfortable. Staying here was the best idea—we could easily visit Skala or Argostoli without having to stay in those busy places all the time. There is nothing we didn’t like! Just keep in mind that the complex has apartments on three levels: ground, first, and second floor. When booking, or before arriving, double-check your reservation—our case was just a small Booking glitch. Nothing serious, since all the apartments are perfect, but it’s good to know in advance.

- Joseph (10/5): Better than imagined with the best breakfast :P - The Terrace with sea view was phenomenal, very peaceful and quiet area. The hosts were so lovely, it has been the best service and hospitality I have ever witnessed on vacation! Nothing!

- Karl (10/5): Genial, Griechenland pur, so wie man es sich vorstellt. - Perfekt, außergewöhnlich und großartig Die Lage ist perfekt, kurze Wege zum Strand und in den liebevollen und gastfreundlichen Ort mit seinen Tavernen. Im Apartment wird täglich alles frisch geputzt, frische Handtücher, frisches Bett. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und modern. Yiannis empfang war herzlich, so als wären wir alte Freunde. Er ist Vermieter und Gastronom aus Leidenschaft. Genial ist das üppige und außergewöhnliche Frühstück in seinem Restaurant am Strand. Hier beginnt der Tag mit einem Frühstückstraum. Zum Thema Ausflüge gab es immer wertvolle Tipps und Ratschläge sowie Frühstückskorb aufs Apartment inclusive Lunchpaket für den Tagesausflug. Yiannis erfüllt jeden Wunsch noch ehe man ihn ausgesprochen hat und ist mit Herz um das wohl der Gäste bemüht. Das ganze Dorf strotz vor Gastlichkeit. Katelois wurde für uns zur Perle von Kefalonia. (Suchtgefahr) Vielen Dank Yiannis und Natalia wir kommen wieder Im Penthouse-Apartment fehlt es ein wenig an Schränken oder Stauraum. Für 4 Personen war es eine kleine Herausforderung sich 14 Tage zu organisieren. Aber wir haben das mit unseren Freunden gut gelöst.

- 靖晗 (10/5): Everything turned out even better than we imagined! - Everything turned out even better than we imagined! On our first day, even though we arrived close to 11pm, Yianni was already waiting at the door to welcome us. He warmly introduced the apartment, the free breakfast, and his restaurant. The room was very spacious, with a large courtyard on the ground floor and wide balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors—all facing the sea. The kitchen was well-stocked with complimentary drinks, and although it’s an apartment (not a hotel), someone still came to clean every day. Breakfast was such a lovely surprise: it’s actually from Yianni’s own restaurant, delicious and full of local flavors. Yianni also helped us arrange the activities we wanted to do, and even the taxi driver mentioned, “He’s a really good man.” When we checked out very early in the morning, we shyly asked if we could get just a couple slices of toast. Instead, Yianni gave us a whole basket of food to take away (which actually lasted us until afternoon tea the next day!) and even poured us two glasses of white wine. When we thanked him and said goodbye, his first instinct was to introduce us to his wife—perhaps to make sure we didn’t overlook her contribution. What a happy family! That moment really convinced us that when we come back to the island, we’ll definitely stay at Yianni’s apartment again. One little regret: we never got to try a proper dinner at Yianni’s restaurant. - Beate (10/5): Ein traumhafter Urlaub, Griechenland pur! - Die Apartments sind geräumig, liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Jeden Tag wird alles frisch geputzt, frische Handtücher, frisches Bett. Die Terasse mit ihrer Aussicht ist ein Traum! Der kleine Gang durchs Dorf zum Restaurant des Besitzers Yiannis ist wirklich nett und man wird dort von Yiannis mit einem aussergewöhnlichen Frühstück verwöhnt. Man kann sich sein Frühstück von der Karte aussuchen - köstliche Gerichte - ein kulinarischer Frühstückstraum! Hat man irgendwelche Sonderwünsche, ist das auch überhaupt kein Problem. Auch die Cocktails sind der Hammer! Yiannis ist immer bemüht, seine Gäste glücklich zu machen. Er hat uns ein Mietauto zu einem guten Tarif besorgt und uns gute Ausflugstipps gegeben. Yiannis - ein Gastgeber aus vollem Herzen und leidenschaftlicher Gastronom mit einzigartiger Küche. Aber auch die Menschen im Dorf sind alle so nett und gastfreundlich. Man fühlt sich wie im Urlaub bei Freunden, tolle Insel - einfach Griechenland pur! Gerne wieder!

- Sarah (10/5): Wonderful little place - Location was perfect, just a short stroll to the beach side tavernas, the beach although small was fine, we decided to go further down on the left which was perfect, shallow, calm waters. Yiannis and his family were wonderful hosts, and the included breakfast at Yiannis' place was amazing, thank you so much ❤️ The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, we stayed on the ground floor which had the benefit of garden access and sun lounges, you'd really need to stay 1st floor or penthouse for seaview, but for our 2night stay to round off our tour of Kefalonia it was perfect, thank you so much ! Nothing!

- Vernon (9/5): Sensational Southbank Apartments. No2 Review. - Most of all? Quite location, very clean, wonderful hosts, seriously lovely. Maybe not for everyone, but we thought it was lovely.. Nothing.
- Ros (9/5): A peaceful retreat - Our apartment was very comfortable and in a good location to explore Kefalonia as long as you hire a car. Many places closed due to end of season but it did make it peaceful which is what we wanted. A short walk to a bar and restaurant along the beach each evening was perfect. The beach is a 5 min walk away and it felt like our own with only a few locals on it from time to time. Swam everyday, the sea was lovely. What made our holiday so special was Yiannis, the owner who could not have done enough for us, he was a superhost and we will be back. We had to hire a car as very few buses running.

- Fieke (10/5): Holiday of our dreams - Where to start? We’ve travelled around the world and have stayed at quite some accommodations, but our stay at Southbank seafront apartments has been the best we’ve ever experienced. Yianni and his wife and mother have given us a holiday we will never forget. They are such warm, attentive and kind people and make sure you’ll have and experience everything you need during your stay. The food they have been serving has been of the highest quality and very tasty. The apartment, towels, dishes were cleaned thoroughly every day. The view from the penthouse apartment was superb, with the wide ocean right in front of you. Also, the accommodation was surrounded by trees and plants with many singing birds. Within 3 minutes you walk to their private beach, with options to walk further to Katelios beach. Other beautiful beaches, such as Kaminia and Skala beach are within a 12 minute drive away. The ocean in front of the apartment was very calm and warm during our stay in October and looked like a lake, perfect for swimming. The little harbour street of Katelios with various restaurants, small souvenir shops and a mini market is within 5 minutes walking distance. As travellers we are quite adventurous and never return to the same place, but we most definitely will return to Southbank seafront apartments.

Lots of little added extras including bottle of wine, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Breakfast delivered to room in basket. Excellent selection including - hollandaise eggs with ham, cereal, yoghurts, biscuits, cake, fruit and fruit juice. Close to beach and many great restaurants. Great balcony with seating and night light.

- Judy (10/5): Exceptional - We loved staying in this apartment, beautiful quiet setting, yet near to everything. Beach towels provided which is always a plus. Yiannis was so helpful, thank you for going to the pharmacy. He brought us an enormous breakfast every morning. The apartment was modern and spacious. Lovely garden and terrace with sunbeds. Very short walk to the beach which was a bit stony so we just went a bit further along where it was lovely. Nice parade of restaurants very short walk away where we sat overlooking the beach/sea. Supermarket very near. Thank you for the wine and for letting us check in early. Perfect stay and would recommend.

- Paul (10/5): A really lovely apartment, very close to the sea an local restaurants - Amazing and very comfortable duplex apartment with sea views. Yianni & his mother were both so helpful and allowed us to check out later as we had an evening flight. The wine, sweets, coffees & teas were a lovely gesture, thank you. Breakfast was delivered by Yianni each morning and was plentiful & fresh. We ate at 2 restaurants- Maria’s and Blue Sea and had fantastic meals at both. We found a lovely cove at Porta Scala with a few steps down to a pebble beach with amazingly clear waters, perfect for snorkelling with lots of fish to see. The beach at Katelios is sandy though there was quite a lot of dried seaweed on the shoreline. We swam just to the east of the apartment where free sun beds were available. The beach just to the west of the apartment, in front of the restaurants, was popular but a bit too shallow for us. Nothing!

The experience was incredible—everything is nearby, the apartments are cozy, and every detail is thoughtfully planned, so you don’t have to worry about anything. The host prepared delicious breakfasts for us, and we truly felt at home. We definitely want to come back. There wasn’t anything negative to mention!
- Roger (9/5): Superb - Housekeeper Ioannis was very friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious and fresh every morning brought by Ioannis in a basket, lovely. Some drinks are already available in the kitchen, a bottle of water, some beer and a bottle of white wine were provided free of charge in advance. Location is next to the beach, beach bar and a few minutes to the town Katelios with nice restaurants and Mini Market. A very quiet area, very relaxing. Apartment was fine so far, but the bathroom is very small and needs more storage options.However, the photos on the booking page have been edited and obscure the reality a little bit. The only thing missing from the kitchen equipment was a cooker, but everything is indicated accordingly in the description.

The apartment was spacious on two floors with a large outdoor balcony with sun beds. Each morning there was an excellent breakfast delivered to your door. - Natalie (10/5): Great location for beach lovers, chilled out vibes - Our host Yianni and his mum were so thoughtful and kind- nothing was too much trouble for them. Daily breakfast baskets filled with fruits, pastries and savoury dishes such as eggs and avocado were brought to our apartment. We even received a complimentary bottle of delicious local wine halfway through our stay! The location is amazing- on the beach and minutes away from the village- easy to pop out for an early morning swim. The only bad thing is we had to leave such a paradise!

As well as private beach with sunbeds and bar on site. Also easy & quick to get to Skala for boat tours. The property is relaxing. Accommodation is big, all the comforts of home. Yiannis and his family make you feel very welcome! Breakfasts are so good. Delivered to the room. Can't wait to go back!
- Mary (10/5): A wonderful place to stay - Breakfast was amazing. A basket of food was delivered each morning with a huge variety of stuff, including cereals, fruit, eggs, croissants. It was different every day. The apartment was lovely, with a large balcony and spectacular views. The location was yards from the sea and just a short walk to the main part of the village with a number of tavernas. Our hosts, Yiannis and his mother, were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. - Cubabeach (9/5): Excellent location and fabulous host! - Yianni was super helpful, very responsive and extremely friendly. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable - a great host indeed! A breakfast of local produce is delivered to the room each day. The location of the apartment is great, practically on the beach and a very short walk to the tavernas. Despite being in an apartment block it is very quiet with views of the garden and sea.
