Guest Reviews
- Francesca (8/5): -
- Seetha (4/5): Bad experience - My friend and I stayed at Pearl Courtyard for 4 days. 18th till 22nd Mac 2026. We booked double deluxe with city facing view via booking.com.
The only good thing about this hotel is its location. My friend and I stayed at Pearl Courtyard for 4 days. 18th till 22nd Mac 2026. We booked double deluxe with city facing view via booking.com. Even though it was stated that we only pay at the hotel but 3 days before arrival they already called and asked us to pay 50% of the total amount which was INR 41,120. Average INR10,000+ per night. Later, we found it was really costly for the kind of room and the facilities that we got.
The manager also claimed that if we don't pay the 50% deposit, we might not get the room on our arrival date.
The worst part was, when we arrived at the hotel, we were given a room without window. Only 1 set of toiletries was given. No hair dryer, no fridge, the bedsheet smells bad, got cigarette smell. It was as though the room was not cleaned after check-out.
I showed the management my printed copy of the kind of room that I should get for the price we paid, they claimed all the rooms are fully booked.
The next day, they shifted us to another room which looked a bit better yet no hair dryer and fridge. The staff said, I have to request for hair dryer. So, on the second night after prayers and Gangga arti, we went back to the room around 10p.m. We washed our hair and requested for a hair dryer.
The moment my friend inserted the plug, there was a loud noise and the whole room blackout. Then we called the the receptionist. It took about 1/2 hour before an electrician came to check. The whole night they were trying to fix the problem, we couldn't sleep because the lights turn on for a while then goes off, sometimes it started flickering. We were so fed-up and only slept around 4 a.m. The management didn't apologise or said sorry to us for all the difficulties that we faced.
I WOULDN'T recommend this hotel to anyone. My other friends stayed at Broadway hotel, paid only INR4,000 per night but they had better facilities.
- Dr (10/5): Overall I enjoyed my stay - Its proximity to temple and staff are helpful, courteous and friendly Restaurant was expensive at the hotel and too much salt in food
- Shalini (5/5): - Location! Looks very basic and the room feels dinghy.
- Shiamdass (1/5): Too expensive for the poor quality - Threatening to cancel although booking.com confirmed with payment on arrival Smelly bathroom, without hand towels and toiletries
- Mrinalini (7/5): - The best part of the Hotel is it's location. The facilities are good, overall a 7 / 10 rating from me. (not value for money - charges are more for location than anything else - facilities and provisions are okay) Most of the rooms (at least in which I was staying) Have no natural ventilation (no window) and AC provisions are old (not sure of fresh air inflow) . The toilet are extremely compromised (the shower area smallest dimension was 600mm / 2 feet) no dry / wet segregation, no wash basin (lavatory) counter
- Kaushick (9/5): Good one - I expected a hair dryer which was not there.
- Kartik (6/5): Good location but below average rooms - Location is close to temple, thats the only bonus! Rigid timings and badly maintained property
- Ghosh (5/5): Passable - Rooms are spacious enough. Hotel location is in center of the temple area. Room price is very costly . 30,000 INR for Junior suite is beyond imagination. Which surpasses even 4 star hotel rent.
- Krishna (9/5): Superb -
- Chauhan (5/5): Passable -
- Thammaiah (7/5): Location is excellent. Can cover the old city by foot. - Location Rooms and washroom are too small for the price.
- Greeshma (2/5): Would not recommend this place. - The location The rooms had insects on the bed. The kettle was overheating and the ac was not working. When asked about both, the staff just informed that’s how they work. Room has a very musky smell. Was asked to make full payment on the on or before check in. Does not meet any expectations of the 4 star hotel it claims
To be or the price charged. The noise of the streets were heard in the room though the room was on the 4th floor.
- Eric (3/5): Poor - Location is outstanding - about a 10-minute walk to the ghats. Beakfast was fine. Service was ok. For the price (almost $200/night), and the hotel's self-proclaimed 4-star rating, the room was atrocious. It was extremely worn, not maintained and one corner smelled of urine. I would not recommend staying here for this price.
- Sandeep (10/5): Exceptional - Very good service and staff are excellent
- Beerappa (8/5): Very good - All properties do not take advance payment but this property takes else the booking is not confirmed
- Vijayakumar (5/5): pleasant staff, good location cleaner and better restaurant should solve the overall experience - location was good as the property is placed in the centre of the city, however the cleanliness in the restaurant is not upto the mark and food was partially available with delayed service Bin was kept in the entrance for the food disposal which was too clumsy and uncomforatble at site for a clean ambience required inside restaurant
- Kavita (8/5): Very good -
- Kalpesh (7/5): Good - Staff is good..good room, emiinities
- Madhuri (7/5): Good -
- Sweta (8/5): Great stay and very warm staff - Room size is very good and location is perfect for ghat visit and exploring the street Nothing as such, but seemed overpriced
- Kush (8/5): comfortable stay - Food quality and location Too noisyc
- Singh (8/5): Very good -
- Shilpi (9/5): Awesome stay, very near to market, neat and clean - The location is superb
- Sridharan (8/5): Good stay - The location was very near and the hotel rooms were neat . Some rooms were small but very neat . The service and staff was very good. Very humble staff . The rates were very high
- Eva (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sadashiv (6/5): Good but not as great as reviews . It was a 5 start pricing with limited comfort. - The restaurant was very good
But the staff uniforms were not clean and presentable
Very dirty The rooms with no ventilation
Also bathrooms are very small and deceptive from pictures
The towels are very worn and scary to use
- Hatti (1/5): Bad -
- Daljeet (1/5): Not recommend anyone to stay at this exorbitant price - Nothing Nothing parking facility, no good service , rates is exorbitant high
- Simon (7/5): Good location, pleasant staff. - Good location Charged for a night I didn’t stay. My flight was cancelled and I informed the hotel in good time, but they insisted I pay for the unstayed night.
- Poduval (6/5): Pleasant - Cleanliness Geyser was not working during our stay. We were provided hot water in buckets by the hotel staff.
- Ajeet (4/5): Disappointing - We kept waiting for room because of some maintenance work. Room check in time is 1 pm. We reached hotel at 2:45pm still kept waiting for room for 40 min.
We were given standard room. Room size , ceiling height , outside view was disgusting
- Jitendra (1/5): Overall the stay was unpleasant. - Only the location which is walkable from the main ghat. Rooms are not even 10 square metres, while it is claimed that they are of 20 square meters. Room had no window, the handle of water heating cattle provided came off while pouring and hot water flowed on my hands. Awful food, some of the items were stinking and gone sour. Unresponsive and untrained staff. Ridiculously misrepresented room size and ambiance. Highly overpriced for what is provided. Unfair trade practice.
- Christopher (6/5): This is a decent hotel, but a bit run down, especially the bathrooms. The larger nicer hotels are all further outside th - The staff were all very attentive, friendly and helpful. The location is great for walking to the river and around the old town. Not that clean or updated, breakfast options were limited.
- Nitesh (9/5): Superb -
- Ashwani (8/5): Very good -
- Kannan (8/5): Very good -
- Prakash (5/5): located in very busy street, 5 star rate and 3 star facility. - not worth for this rate. House keeping staff very hood
- Kumaran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nehal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ioana (1/5): Bad - The reception looks good. The first thing after providing personal information about all guests, they had us pay the second half of the amount. Then they showed us the room, we were appalled by the musty smell. One of the walls was damp. The bathroom wasn't clean and windows were filthy.
They didn't have other rooms available for the first night, so they sent staff to dry the wall. We simply could not sleep there and chose to find another hotel. They refused to make a full refund however we didn't sleep there. If you care about your health, don't stay at this hotel.
- Jatin (1/5): Scam hotel, save your money don't fall for the pictures. - Only the location is good but you can find better in the same location for alot cheeper better price and they won't scam you like they did. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my recent stay at this hotel. The pictures on their website were utterly misleading, showing spacious, well-lit rooms, but the reality was shockingly different. I paid a hefty sum of 24.5k for two rooms for a single day, and to my dismay, one of the rooms lacked even a basic amenity like a window. The rooms were claustrophobically small, with linens that were not only unclean but seemed barely maintained. The bathrooms were marginally larger than what you'd find on an airplane - a stark contrast to the luxurious portrayal online.
The value for money here is abysmal. You can easily find flagship hotels offering far superior accommodations at a lower price. Adding insult to injury, the hotel's management displayed blatant dishonesty. I had a surplus from the deposit made and had arranged to collect it at checkout. However, in a clear act of deception, they insisted that I use it in their restaurant, fully aware that my tight schedule wouldn't permit it. This hotel is nothing short of a scam, capitalizing on false advertising and deceitful practices. I urge everyone to save their money and avoid this establishment at all costs. It's an absolute rip-off and a disservice to the hospitality industry.
- Vishal (5/5): Recommended only for proximity to temple. - Location is the only main advantage. Staff are good and well trained The quality of rooms & facilities are sub standard when you are paying such a high price. Breakfast is pathetic.
- Татьяна (7/5): Nice for 2 days only - Nice hotel in great location
5 min from ganga The bed sheets could be more cleaner
- Kaushik (1/5): It’s not a value for money hotle - Location was good What image shown in booking is total different. Executive rooms don’t have ventilation
While booking the hotle breakfast was inclusive but when came there it was not included.
Even booking.com didn’t have confirmation mail for same. Only message was booking is confirmed
- Deepak (7/5): Helpful staff - Location Too small room
- Astha (8/5): Very good -
- Tiago (4/5): Don’t stay here! - Location! Everything else.
- Richa (7/5): Over all good. Some improvisation w.r.t maintenance would be better to improve the stay. - Property is close by to the major temples and the ghat. Hotel is at the main market and things are available at finger tips. Hotel staff is generous and polite. They very down to earth and respectful. All of them have a smile on face while attending guests. They have a travel desk nearby reception which makes it much more convenient to book cabs around the city. 1. Room size and price: A standard double room is sufficient only for one person. Wash rooms are small. Windows are all packed. Rooms lack source of fresh ventilation. Prices are comparatively high for the rooms. Can find much better rooms although a little far less than half the price.
2. Maintenance: Furniture and walls are mostly white based and it needs maintenance. Wash rooms need more maintenance - there were stains on the tiles and on the door.
- Nakshatra (8/5): Very good -
- Kalpana (7/5): Good location - Nice big room but needs updating. Could do with an update.
- Gangam (9/5): Superb -
- Shreechandra (8/5): A stay to remember for a long long time. - Both wonderful Food taste
- Rohan (10/5): Exceptional - Very good behavior of the staff, location, service all top notch
- Anjan (9/5): Superb -
- Kavitha (8/5): Stay was good but process to get there was bad. The stepping stone was pathetic - The facility was overall good. I had a very bad experience at the time of booking. They did not have paytm wallet. Neither did they have credit card facilities. They said they eill cancel my booking. Somehow u manged qr oayment. I spoke to hotel and said payment is made. Next day u get email rooms are cancelled i had to call them and re explain everything. Not a good experience
Total harassment. I did not like that part of service. May think twice before booking
- Sidhartha (7/5): Good - Location is good Breakfast was good The washroom
- Varsha (6/5): Pleasant - Good Food and safe Hotel
- Bhandari (9/5): Excellent 👌👍 stays. - Politeness of staff, food and room cleaning. No half plate in restaurant because full plate is excess to us.
- Parma (3/5): Unpleasant - Staff behaviour was rude Rude behaviour of the staff.
- Mukesh (9/5): Superb - great stay
- Arya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sushant (1/5): Unhygienic and regretful - Nothing There were blood stains everywhere including the bed sheets and side tables. Housing guys didn’t come replace the sheets even after repeated reminders.
There were bed bugs, kids have bug bites all over the body, there was mud and hairs in the bed. There was no proper management just some young boys left to manage the whole thing.
Bed bugs, hairs in bed, and blood stains all over the room is totally not acceptable. These guys should be put accountable for providing this unhygienic rooms.
Also important to mention that this was one of the most premium and expensive room of this hotel.
- Gupta (9/5): Superb -
- Ramasubramanian (6/5): Over all I felt this place is a bit pricey for the fasciities but so are most of the inner city hotels - Proximity to temples & ghats In the barricade zone so cannot access this using taxi
Only cycle rickshaw is able to get through
We landed on a Monday and ended up dragging our luggage for some distance
- Abhisek (10/5): Good hotel to stay in Varanasi - The accommodation and staff behavior Restaurant services
- Shakti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shanka (3/5): Poor - Lot of noise disturbance, staff are not responsible they were holding my IDs even after i checked out,i have to visit the hotel again the next day to collect them Not worth the money i paid
- Reena (10/5): The Pearl in Varanasi - Rooms were absolutely spotless, comfortable and well looked after.
We took a la carte breakfast as it worked well for us, palate wise (can't handle much spice) and pocket wise. The hakka noodles, pakora, Indian curries we had were fabulous. The jalebi, made in Desi ghee, were to die for. We had the kheer and gulab jamun as well.
Staff in restaurant are very warm and welcoming, with Mr Lalsu always serving us. Suvarna and the other lady were always checking on us.
Staff at reception were very helpful as well. Driver Mr Ashok is such a reliable person too. And Mr Prateek from the travel desk assisted us in Organising our trip.
Definitely recommend this hotel found in a bustling area. A minor incident with a cleaner but effectively dealt with by the staff. Impressed.
- Sanjay (9/5): Superb - Exceptionally clean. Very courteous staff, I could see that they have been trained to be polite. Very good quality of toiletries.
- Anurag (6/5): Nice stay at the heart of the city - Location. Size of the room. Travel desk is too expensive.
- Deepak (6/5): Pleasant - location and cleanliness Bed length TOO Small, difficult to sleep
uncomfortable
- Sarraf (8/5): Very good -
- Pradeep (3/5): Poor customer service. Will never stay here again - Breakfast was ok. Hotel location is good. The air conditioner in my room did not work and the person at reception was not helpful at all. In fact, he was not even trying to make our stay reasonable. Another employee, a bellboy came to our rescue and helped us. Certainly not worth the money the hotel charges. I would never stay here again
- Kumar (1/5): Next time I don’t stay in pearl courtyard, search for better lodge - Only near by temple Out side of the room very bad smell & Airconditioner is not working well daily complained but they are least bother about to rectify. Without proper airconditioner troubled a lot
- Anirban (9/5): Superb -
- Ramesh (5/5): Staff was very friendly, close to the temple but could not sleep at night due to noise due to rain - Location and the age of the hotel It rained in the night and rain water fell in the window AC making mound noise. It was like sleeping in an asbestos shed. May be it was ok on a non rainy day
- Ashish (5/5): Passable - Food was excellent and the staff were polite and courteous. Rooms (superior deluxe rooms) were selected while booking. Both rooms did not have minibar as described. One room did not have any windows, so could not make out whether it was day or night time. Water falling on windows AC made noise throughout the night. In one room the window had a view of the shaft!! It took us a great effort to explain to hotel front office that the rooms allotted did not match the description in booking portal. To summarize the rooms where we stayed did not qualify the superior deluxe category as well as the price that we paid. Any tourist wanting to stay in this property should ask for rooms with windows.
- Dharmendra (9/5): Superb - Good breakfast No fridge
- Panch (3/5): Need attention in serving food. - Very expensive . Less facilities No items were available in breakfast
- Amudha (7/5): Good - Resturant satvic Pillow were given without pillow cover. Front desk check in staff not so friendly
- K (9/5): Superb -
- Kumar (10/5): Exceptional - Location. Food All good
- Pr (5/5): Passable - Manager Mr Singh's etiquette is good
Female receptionist is excellent 👍 The staff was not ethical, mannerless, trying to peep customer privacy .
- Shashank (3/5): Not a pleasant stay. Avoud. - Nothing We took a superior room which showed a window in the pics. When we checked in it was a pigeon hole with no windows. So we paid extra and upgraded. Very small rooms and very basic. Wouldnt recommend. Better pay this price and stay at a branded chain
- Bulent (8/5): Very good - Real pearl in the old city Kachi Breakfast is too poor
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alen (6/5): Not met the expectations. - Nearby Ghats; travel desk, motivated staff, tasty complementary chocolate in room.
Professional airport service. Very small bathroom & restroom in one, toilet seat gets wet while taking shower;
Rooms without window and noisy AC.
No hot water at night (some heater problem).
Limited breakfast options.
Not every staff member able to speak English
- Vishalc (8/5): Very good -
- Vijay (9/5): Superb -
- Dr (10/5): Exceptional - Location is excellent
Owner personal attention is very good
Overall comfortable stay Kitchen location is disturbing
- Srinivasa (10/5): Exceptional - Stay and staff Parking
- Chetan (8/5): Very good -
