Guest Reviews
- Karen (8/5): Lovely quaint cottage - Lovely cottage. All amenities were good. May need a bit of updating, double bed a bit too hard. Understand carpets make it feel warmer, but in one area of the lounge, there was a strong smell of dog and couldn't find where it was. A quick dust in bedroom alcoves as there were old spider webs which young children didn't like and had to dust room before they would sleep in it. Didn't spoil holiday.
- Keith & Narelle (4/5): Disappointing - Location Not clean, TV room smelt of dog piss, toilet had a piece of wood jammed in it to hold seat up and building was lacking maintenance.
- Nicola (9/5): Lovely private & character cottage - Very private with very little passing footfall or road noise. Cottage was super cosy; we felt very at home immediately. Extremely comfortable and warm whilst also being a good size - we particularly liked the layout of cottage - perfect for a family with kids. Lovely large kitchen was well equiped. Parking great - two cars. Enclosed garden great for families or dog owners - lovely seating area. Views fab from bedroom balcony - overall great location! 10mins drive to beaches / Beaumaris. Cleaning was superficial - clean and well hoovered in open spaces but could do with a deep clean... assume it's currently a rush job on changeover day.
Shower overflowed which would be solved with bleach down plug hole. Found old tissue behind patio curtain and rear of TV was thick dust + child's toy; not sure furniture has ever been moved. Some dirty cutlery & plenty of cobwebs. We washed and replaced sugar ourselves.
Severe damp on outside wall under window next to fridge appeared after a downfall & rear patio in dining room also suffering with damp. Sugar bowl wasnt nice - I washed and refilled myself. Overall just a little tlc would bring this place up to an excellent standard - not that any of it particularly took away from the overall enjoyment.
Twin rooms are only really suitable for kids or one adult per twin. We did sleep one adult up there very comfortably but you'd need to get along very well for more.
- Vaughanies (7/5): location not good for local amenieties. not good foe walking about - Kitchen facilitys, parking The location, hand rails up to double bedroom difficult to get hold of, stair cases very steep no toilet up stairs
- Mulhearn (6/5): Nice place poor cottage - Location good The cottage taty living room ceiling to low stares to 2 small bedrooms polished wood far to slipy the balcony on the main bedroom rotting wood and rusty steel a death trap entrance to driveway to narrow for anything bigger than a minny
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): Gorgeous cottage in blissfully serene location - Beautiful cottage set in beautiful countryside.
Lovely garden, very pet friendly.
Pretty pagodas in the garden.
Excellent facilities, kitchen extremely well equipped, and generally very clean and cosy. Comfortable beds, pile carpets. Plenty of space for dining in both kitchen and dining room. Low ceilings! A few bumps on the head :-/ But to be expected in traditional cottage.
