- Pete (9/5): - Loved the quietness of the area but not far from the town. Room was lovely, hall and gardens likewise Need better blackout curtains. Only downside
- Rose (9/5): Happy guests - Beautifully restored accommodation, very clean, warm and well equipped. Nothing
- Raymond (8/5): Very comfortable base to explore the area. - Very quiet and comfortable accomodation in an historic location. The feeling of history.
- Natasha (9/5): -
- Antony (9/5): A lovely experience - This was our first visit to Swarthmoor Hall but we expect it will not be the last. We stayed in the Garden Suite which is part of the old building and therefore had an unusual layout. It was well carpeted and furnished. The bed was very comfortable. Nice chairs to watch TV. The electric radiators were efficient and easy to use.
The staff and volunteers were just lovely - friendly and helpful. Nice shop on site and good cakes in the cafe!
Swarthmoor Hall is easy to find on the edge of Ulverston (care needed at the junction of Swarthmoor Hall Lane). It was wonderfully quiet and the gardens beautiful. The en-suite was small and the shower a bit awkward to get in / out of and use, but all manageable.

- Guest (10/5): Historic location beautifully presented. Great hospitality here, quite a rarity - The staff were very helpful and just as important, very friendly. The atmosphere and history of the Hall were really interesting with excellent accomodation plus super garden areas. Would definitely come again. Signage was tricky to spot the lane but was fine for my son and daughter who visited the next day using the postcode to find the location. Other than that nothing at all. John also said that signage was in process for improvement. Really nothing not to love here!
- trudy (10/5): Fabulous - Very friendly communication. There was a slight problem with one of the rooms we could not utilise as they had found wasps only that day, but John was very helpful and opened up another annexe so was no problem. I would definitely recommend to anyone, we had a lovely weekend and even the rain did not bother us, family time together, priceless. :-) All was excellent, there was not anything that could have been done better. There was plenty of tea, coffee, sugar hot chocolate so all could have a drink when we arrived - maybe some milk in the fridge would have been an extra touch :-)

- jill (8/5): - I liked the peace and the lovely natural garden with places to sit.
The accomodation was clean and sheets and towels were all quality. I didn't like that there wasn't a separate lounge and that there weren't enough pictures on the website to describe the accomodation properly.
There was paint peeling of the wall in the hallway.
- Stephen (9/5): - Very peaceful and tranquil location. The facilities were good. Being able to visit the hall itself was an added bonus and the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Dave (10/5): Great stay for a large group of us, very comfortable - Lovely location, quiet. It felt like everything had been done to a high standard The whole party agreed there was nothing to complain about 😃
- Shiv (10/5): excellent - it was very clean and John was very helpful in settling us.

- Gaynor (10/5): Fantastic place to stay. - The Garden Suite is perfect for a couple. It has everything you need including outdoor space with table and chairs. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The staff and volunteers were friendly, helpful and informative. Our tour of the Hall was excellent. We would stay there again and have already recommended it to our friends. Can't think of anything.
- Guest (10/5): Wonderful place for a quiet getaway. - It was obvious that a lot of pride was taken in maintaining the grounds and property. All staff were courteous and friendly. Nothing
- James (10/5): Well appointed, friendly and tranquil - Excellent facilities, especially for elderly mother.
Staff very friendly and helpfull, prepared to go out of their way to help.
Wonderfully quite location and gardens. Even when the hall, gardens and cafe were open to the public it did not feel overcrowded or intrusive.
You do not need to be concerned about the quacker aspect. There was no attempt by anybody to force anything upon you Can't think of anything

- Hilary (9/5): Superb - Lovely quiet weekend away. Accomodation simple in style in keeping with the history of the property, but had everything we needed for a weekend away. In particular, the kitchen was suitably equipped to allow us to cook from scratch rather than relying on convenience foods. No issues.
- Alexandra (10/5): very comfortable and warm stay - Very clean and well supplied ammenities. Nodetergent or drying rack to use the washing machine.
- Sandrine (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great stay at Swarthmoor Hall. The location is incredibly peaceful, offering a lovely getaway surrounded by nature, yet only a short distance from Ulverston town centre. The beautifully maintained gardens were a highlight.
The accommodation itself was both cozy and comfortable. With a lot of luggage, we truly appreciated being able to drive right up to the front of the accommodation to unload before parking, which made our arrival so much easier.
We recommend staying at Swarthmoor Hall.
