• B. (10/5): Stay and learn inside a castle. - The position of the comfortable flat inside Berat castle and fortress is amazing. To think that families have lived up here for 8 generations and more. The families all know each other and warmly welcome visitors. We had excellent meals at nearby family owned restaurants. Klaudio, Irena, Anila, Grandma and grand daughter were so kind and hospitable. The bar area was a pleasure to sit in, under the cherry trees, with wonderful views (from everywhere you walk). We highly recommend a visit to the spectacular and precious historic Onufri Iconographic museum. If you are as lucky as us you will get a brilliant tour from Anila. The iconostasis and Codex stories are wonderful. Also visit any churches that are open. Holy Trinity, St Mary of Blachernae and St Nicholas church were all fascinating and the frescoes, by various artists including the Master Onufri are an historic delight to witness. We absolutely loved our four nights at Villa Droboniku as a base to explore this fascinating town and its extraordinary history. Highly recommended to visitors interested in Albanian history especially.

Excepcional estancia - Alojamiento ubicado dentro del recinto del Castillo, es una casa antigua totalmente restaurada por dentro, con muchísimo encanto e increíblemente bien acondicionada y muy limpia. La cama comodisima. Desde el.primer momento Irena y Klaudio han estado pendientes de nosotros, nos trajeron un detalle de bienvenida y nos dieron indicaciones para continuar con nuestro viaje. Hemos disfrutado de la paz y de las maravillosas vistas. Falemenese!!!!! Que solo estuvimos dos noches.
• Mirjam (10/5): Magical villa in the most wonderful city with the best and most attentive hosts we've ever had! - What a brilliant place! Everything was better than we expected. The location was very peaceful, the views amazing, and our hosts were fantastic; so warm, welcoming and friendly. We’ve come to expect that in Albania, but Klaudio and Irena went above and beyond and we could tell that they did it out of joy rather than obligation. When they heard we were arriving by bus, not only did they collect us, but they dropped us off again. It’s a steep climb to the villa, so if they offer you a lift, take it! They were very communicative, with great advice throughout. We could go on and on about how great this stay was, but just go and experience it for yourself!

• Marijana (10/5): Najbolje iskustvo u Beratu! - Najbolja stvar u vezi Berata su njegovi ljudi. Klaudio i Irena su bili izuzetni domaćini koji su učinili naše iskustvo u Beratu zaista posebnim. Smještaj je čist, ugodan, ima sve što ti je potrebno - opremljena kuhinja, peškiri, internet, tv, klime, čak i papuče za po kući. Ispred je dvorište sa pogledom na grad. Parking je odmah uz smještaj. Smještaj u tvrđavi je bio odličan izbor. Mi smo putovali sa dvoje male djece i stvarno smo imali sve što nam je trebalo baš tu. Idealan smještaj za pravo iskustvo ovoga grada. Najveća preporuka za Villu Droboniku.
• Michael (10/5): Beautiful house in stunning location with welcoming and kind host - We have never experienced a welcome and kindness like Elena and her family gave us. She was an amazing host, communicating well, giving us advice and tips and of course making our stay in house such an incredible experience. The house could not be better situated in the heart of Berat castle, within seconds of all the cafes, restaurants and sites. The house was well equipped, comfortable and beautifully made up. • Kimberly (10/5): Wonderful stay! Wish we could have stayed longer! - Very clean and comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and breakfast. The location inside the walls of Berat Castle was truly amazing especially in the evening when the number of visitors go way down and the locals come out to stroll. The sunsets were magical. The hosts Klaudio and Irena were very welcoming and helpful! The drive into the castle was a bit scary, very steep, cobblestone road. I recommend arriving in the evening when they are fewer pedestrians.

There’s a lovely patio garden where you can sit and relax, and now they’re also setting up a bar from which you’ll have the best view over Berat and a gorgeous sunset. The house was spacious and had everything you could possibly need, absolutely nothing was missing. Everything was spotlessly clean. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Whatever you needed, they were there to assist you. Definitely book this place for your stay in Berat! That we didn’t stay longer 😀

• Devavratt (10/5): A gem in Berat - This place is a unique gem - an entire historic house within the Berati castle walls where 9 generations of the same family have lived. The hosts, Claudio and Irena were wonderful. It was lovely to meet and speak with them and hear their stories - especially grandma who was warm and loving. They were very helpful with everything. The Villa was very clean had everything we needed for a two-night stay. We went to the Castle Hotel a stone throw away for dinner and breakfast but the kitchen is well equipped to make food. We loved our stay here.

• David (10/5): One of our best stays ever! - Our family of 4 people has traveled the world for the past 1.5 years and this is easily one of our best and favorite home stays. We can’t say enough about this one of a kind experience and the generosity and friendliness of the host family. We actually don’t want to leave. The castle grounds and views are magic and the home is extremely comfortable and has every modern convenience. If you are lucky enough to find this hidden gem, don’t hesitate and book it immediately. We highly recommend it! It’s perfect, zero complaints!

Kete here nuk qendruam shume g - Shtepia eshte komode, me shume hapesire, mikpritese dhe e vendosur ne zemer te keshtjelles, cka e ben ate vendin e duhur per te kaluar disa dite te qeta pushimi. Ideal per keto dite te ftohta dimri eshte dhe oxhaku ne dhomen e madhe te ndenjjes, qe te krijoni nje atmosfere te ngrohte e te kendshme per te kaluar mbremjen nen shoqerine e nje gote vere.
• Leah (10/5): Wonderful stay in the magical castle quarter of Berat - Our apartment was delightful as were our wonderful hosts, who have lived in the home of which the apartment is part for 8 generations . It is tucked away in a lovely part of the magical Berat castle , very near the churches famous for their frescoes . Our hosts gave us little treats on arrival , introduced us to the wider family and recommended a lovely nearby restaurant for lunch . The apartment itself is big, with an upstairs double bedroom, a large lounge area where the kids sleep , 2 bathrooms and a well appointed kitchen . We very much wish we could have stayed longer . Berat is a special place . Nothing .

• Zovi (10/5): Restful, quiet and beautiful apartment. Home away from home. - Villa Droboniku is beautiful. We had the whole apartment which has everything you need. There is a delightful courtyard to sit and chat in under the trees. You can see the sunset from there also. The host family is very friendly and helpful and gave us fruits, homemade jams. I would highly recommend this place for a couple or a family. There is nothing we did not like.
• Ayden (10/5): Exceptional - A very unique stay In the heart of Berat castle and very close to bars and restaurants. Walking around the castle by day and night is a treat. The house is run by a local family who are incredibly generous and helpful. All for an affordable price. Nothing it was great.
