• Phillip (10/5): We thoroughly recommend Douglas Cottage for a stay in Chester, it is just delightful. - Douglas cottage is perfectly located in a quiet street just off the main street and near the centre of Chester. It was exceptionally clean, very well equipped and charming. There were toilets on each of its three levels and good bathrooms on the second and third levels. Andy and Barbara were superb hosts and met us at the Cottage, showed us around and gave us great advice on sightseeing in Chester. Nothing to say really. If pushed, we would recommend removing some items from cupboards and rearranging the kitchen drinking glasses to make them more accessible.

We had a lovely basket of all the essentials which was a lovely gesture. The property is so well appointed and has everything you need. The decor is amazing. It is also spotlessly clean. Fantastic location right in the centre of Chester. Communication with Barbara and Andy was absolutely fantastic. This really is a gem. Just one thing, water pressure in top room was non existent if water being used elsewhere, but that wouldn't have caused me to complain, just an observation if it can be of use to help improve.
